The only part of the building that is accessible to the public is the lobby and basement-visitors cannot access residential areas without a key fob or a front desk staff member. If you're needing a secure place to live and park, Capitol Place has both. Staff regularly roam the building (including parking, stairwells, etc) through the day and night to ensure everyone's safety. The condo is a very family friendly place to raise your children, and also a good place if you don't have kids. The gym with AC is really nice, and the equipment is kept clean. The kids play area is well maintained and is a safe spot for your keiki to run around. There is also an adjacent dog relief area that is serviced regularly to keep it clean. It's also in a good location in town - close to major businesses in downtown, and several hospitals. The easy freeway access is nice, and major grocery stores are nearby.

The Collection towers high right between Keawe and South Street and though it seems the main condo entrance is on Keawe Street this review is for The Collection Lofts which is 610 Ala Moana and yes it's part of "The Collection" the entrance is on Ala Moana Blvd which many got lost trying to find it though I had a hunch of it's location, there is a sign right out front though it's not easily viewed basically unless you're standing right in front of it lol. Very secure as you need to have to be buzzed in to basically every area as we were having an event at the recreation rood which is right beside the gym which yes you both need a key to get into each one. The recreation room is basically the size of a large studio apartment short of a bed as it's bougie layout has it all with a lounge area with large cushy soft and big screen tv with a large coffee table to layout any snacks, pool table right behind the lounge, kitchen with a microwave, sink and a full size fridge and a large table with seating to seat up to 8. Huge windows that allows a lot of sunshine to brighten the whole room with privacy shades where you're able to see out though but keep it private from the outside as you're not able to see inside, it's such a lovely place to gather for any occasion. Price range from the lofts to the 3/4 story lofts can range from 500k to a 1 Million (pricey but again this spot is in a prime location of the city and it's paradise living). My brother lives in one of the LOFT's at the Collection (studio size) it's actually a good size living space. Parking - they have a nice parking structure gated of course and they have decent amount of Guest Parking as well. Gym/Recreational center - they have a good size gym with a Treadmill / elliptical and they have free weights as well from dumbbells with various lbs. The Surrounding areas of the collection is amazing from lots of Resturant's to Bars, A basketball park, A UFC gym, grocery stores like H-MART, down To earth and a Whole Foods. This location property was the OLD site of COMP USA Store which COMP USA is no longer in business.

Vibrant is how I'd describe Kaka'ako filled with all things unique mixed with urban artsy vibe you'll never be bored here though one thing does make it a challenge is parking. Kauhale Kaka'ako uniqueness does make things interesting for it's location as this residential high-rise building does provide parking for the convenience at the neighboring business that aren't able to provide it's abundance crowd gathering events. No the rates aren't affordable but neither is getting a ticket or better yet having it get towed to an unknown location and I've payed the price whenever I think it's okay not to feed the meter an extra coin. Entrance to this building is convenient with acess from Halekauwila Street and Ilaniwai Street with fully automated system you just take your ticket and go. Rates are $1.50 per half hour or weekend is $9 all day and with that it's credit card only no cash and be sure to park on the 3rd & 4th floor. This absolutely is just an option as I probably wasted more gas circling the block several times before I gave in which honestly was nice not to walk too far considering I have bad knees and after a long day at work it was a treat for myself lol! Here are some things I like: * 5 minute walk to my office * 10 minute walk to Safeway grocery store * Spectacular view of Aloha Tower area which you can walk to in under 10 minutes * Housecleaning every week * Safe - Parking attendants 24/7 and key fob required to enter building * Facilities management available through my company with quick response time * When returning from grocery shopping, shopping carts are available in the parking garage to transfer groceries up to apartment (which is great since I'm on the 17th floor). * Pool onsite * Packages delivered to your door * Downtown rather deserted on weekends which makes it nice to walk around * Small lanai to sit and enjoy my coffee...or wine...depending upon the time of day :-) Some downsides...but they are minor and don't detract from the rating: * Resident parking starts on the 6th or 7th floor so you have to listen to your tires squeal as you climb. * Long wait for elevators in the morning (to be expected in a building with 26 floors) * Wired internet connection instead of wireless...but this was remedied by borrowing a co-worker's ethernet cable. While I am anxious to have my household goods and car catch up with me and move into permanent digs, I'm grateful for this wonderful benefit. provided by my company. It could be because it's an awesome building (hrmmm, maybe...) or because I had HOURS of training here. Anyway, this building seems like the outside has been forever under renovation but since I don't live here, I don't mind too much. The parking lot always has stalls opened for visitors and the parking attendants are really friend. There's even a 10-15 minute grace period if you realize you parked in the wrong building. I appreciate that ESPECIALLY in downtown where parking can run you $5/15 minutes or something ridiculous like that. The building itself seems secure. There are two separate elevators - commercial and residential. There are plenty of security guards roaming around and maintenance people upkeeping the garden and foliage. I don't know how relaxing it can be living in downtown when you're probably working only 5 minutes away. I can't imagine living in the hustle and bustle of downtown but if that's what you want with no worrying about parking, then I guess all the more power to you! The views are quite nice for downtown too since the building is close to the water. Maybe if I have to live anywhere in downtown, I would probably choose to live here. The residential elevators look quite snazzy!

Cons: It's a little noisy since building is next to a freeway, building is right across of a graveyard (if you care about that kind of thing), building is older, no amenities.

It's comforting to see so many owners also work for the complex, which adds a nice level of pride in what they do. Ownership includes storage for most water sport items like surfboards, SUP,s Kayaks and even a boat slip when available. Pool, hot tub, saunas, gym, BBQ, social room, and tons of private seating on multiple outdoor decks. Owners are constantly renovating their units, but that's what it takes to keep the value up for everyone. Thanks to every staff member for all they do.

I often worked remotely in the outdoor pool area. Ample tables/chairs and lounge chairs. Very clean. Exercise room had all the equipment necessary for a decent weight workout and bicycles for cardio. The counter and kitchen area in the party room is very nice sized, clean and an awesome ice maker!!! Grateful for Allen & Steve answering my questions and helping me search for housing. Beautifully landscaped from the lobby and the Koi Pond next to the Party Room is gorgeous. Perfect spot as the sliding doors on 3 sides can protect you from the wind and rain. If you are fortunate enough to have your name on the guest list you can park in secured Guest Parking.

This what seems to be the standard condominium conveniently located just right outside of downtown is not what it seems, though invited as a guest I can't comment on the living conditions but know just from the amenities that it must be a lovely spot to call home. From what many will read of the security and how strict they are can be somehow frustrating though the need to feel safe should be the priority for many and though arriving as a first timer understanding the process really wasn't that complicated and actually appreciate knowing you can feel safe. Once I check with security and gave them the necessary information what's on the 8th floor was something that I've never expected to see as if I was transported to a location in Japan as it was a massive koi pond with several islands of grilling station with sinks with tennis courts and a huge party room that all seems to be sitting on the koi pond was just so impressive. The party room was quite large and seem to be able to hold 20-30 people quite easily with a kitchen area making it an amazing place to celebrate your occasion. Thank you for sharing this lovely place and what a cool vibe that I could've sat forever just chilling by the waterfall to unwind and relax after a long day, I'm so thankful to have enjoyed this opportunity with others.
