Some of the town houses border part of Moanalua Golf Course, or border Moanalua Hillside Apartments or go all the way up to DNLR Forest Preserve. The grounds are well-maintained by full-time gardeners and part-time maintenance crews. Also, there is a recreation center that residents can reserve for small family or business gatherings. There aren't too many children in this community that is mainly comprised of professionals or "empty nesters". Many find this location desirable because of its accessibilty to the freeway system going East or West. Also, nearby, going West, is an on-ramp to the Interstate H-3 leading to Kailua and Kaneohe MCAS. Homes in this subdivision rarely come onto the market. Hey there neighbor, here is an updated/most recent review on the Pearl Two Condominium!…read more Nicely tucked away from the main road, the Pearl Two Condominium is located at the top of Koauka Loop, right next to the Pearl Regency. This 33-floor condominium features 24/7 security, secured building access with a proximity key, a large pool with an in-pool jacuzzi, sauna, tennis court, cabana, BBQ area, a small child's playground, and ample visitor parking with 15 open stalls that are available to use by your guest; from the hours of 6:00a-2:00a. Upon entering the drive way, there is a 15min parking/loading zone area that will allow tenants to load or unload things from their vehicle, make quick trips to the condo, or move bulky items from 8:00a-4:00p - with prior notice to Resident Manager. The driveway then leads you to a concrete roundabout area, which allows others to be picked up or dropped off to the front entrance of the building. The building offers three elevators, one of which is a freight elevator to help with moving large/bulky items. During the late evenings, security will shut down the middle elevator, allowing tenants to use the freight and other elevator. Interestingly, at least one elevator, at any given time, will come to the ground floor and remain open until ready to be used or operated by a tenant or visitor. That way you're not always waiting for an elevator from the 26th or 33rd floor to come down. The upkeep and maintenance of this 1975 building is astonishing. Management hires a company to do monthly carpet cleaning throughout the building's hallways, which leads to little to almost zero bugs found. You'll find zero rubbish on the property, and the landscape is well maintained. Now for the house rules. Every condo or apartment you reside will always have house rules; some places stricter than others. One house rule that is most famous at Pearl Two, is the 5mph rule while driving in the garage. Separate from the condominium, the 5-floor garage offers an elevator that allows you to get to and from your parking stall. There are cameras in place that will clock your speed, for safety reasons. There is a 5-10mph speed limit. Once you go over 10mph, you will receive a ticket, posted on your front door. On a light note, other than the house rules (which is with any condo or building) they do allow you to reserve and "rent out" the pool area for private parties - up to 20 people. It's a little pricey in my opinion to rent out the pool & spa area, but it's a great way to have a party right at your own home.

I know they vacuumed all hallways twice or three times a week. I've seen few roaches in three years living there but not like the building next door. The parking garage is secured most of times. If you're needing a secure place to live and park, Capitol Place has both. Staff regularly roam the building (including parking, stairwells, etc) through the day and night to ensure everyone's safety. The condo is a very family friendly place to raise your children, and also a good place if you don't have kids. The gym with AC is really nice, and the equipment is kept clean. The kids play area is well maintained and is a safe spot for your keiki to run around. There is also an adjacent dog relief area that is serviced regularly to keep it clean. It's also in a good location in town - close to major businesses in downtown, and several hospitals. The easy freeway access is nice, and major grocery stores are nearby.

The hardest part is making sure you reserve the room well in advance of the date - just call and leave a voicemail as soon as you know your date! The room is large and you get to use it for the entire day it's rented (for a reasonable deposit and security fee). There are lots of tables and chairs (at least 50 chairs) in the closet that are quick and easy to set up in the room and outside in the patio. There's a working oven, stove, refrigerator, freezer, sink, microwave, and lots of outlets around the room - very convenient for serving and preparing food. Best of all, the pool is huge, so even though we had about 15+ kids in the pool at the same time, other residents had their own gatherings with guests, and everyone had a great time. There are lots of lounge chairs around for lazying in the sun too.

The lower level has a small parking lot next to a pool entrance and another small area across the street. This is also parking for guests of the community visiting units. Hugh school & intermediate school bus pick up is down the road, on the corner of the side street. Shopping centers are in walking distance. Fast food restaurants, other shops in the area too. FREEWAY to BOTH WESTSIDE & TOWNSIDE & the H3 is down the road as well. Easy access into the valley & out of the valley. Traffic can be really backed up on MOANALUA but if you live here, you can either take the back roads or cut off to stadium & BOOM you're home in no time. Just renovated the apartments about 5 years ago. Still doing some upgrades & fix ups here & there. Can't really complain about this place except for the building of the rail really. Oh and if there's traffic noise. And maybe the ambulances, police & firetrucks that fly by during their drills. Pearl Harbor is right across the street of us. Arizona Memorial & the Museums too. Ford island is nearby. Sunsets are beautiful. You can see the sun set on partial cloudy day. Pearlridge is down the road, as well as Pearl Kau & Pearl City. They have MORE TRAFFIC than here. Kokea Gardens is a condominium complex that can be seen as you exit H1 Vineyard Blvd heading east…read more It currently is an off light blue color and has 12 adjacent concrete buildings of 3-stories each. In the 1980's there was a huge conversion of leasehold to fee simple and many people took advantage of this option. For many years now Cen Pac Properties has been managing this complex. Like any ordinary management company they collect the monthly maintenance fees and oversee the property. Unfortunately they have had many company changes for patrolling security and has really tightened the access of the laundry room. With its great location to town, schools and supermarkets, including Iwilei Costco, these condominiums attract many families with young children. However, sad to report there are no designated playgrounds for the children and although prohibited, you can see children playing in the parking areas. Furthermore, no swimming pool and designated BBQ areas make this very unappealing for many. Each unit has a designated reserved parking space but lacks visitor parking and extra parking for units where there are more than one vehicle. With the exception of only fish, pets are not allowed. The association rules are rigid where curtains must be white or of a light shade. Failure to comply will lead to a written warning and possibly a monetary fine. Being on the bus line this condominium attracts many senior citizens as well. I lived here for a couple of years and recall Halloween, where many kids came for Trick-or-treat. Many years we ran out of candy! The community here is very tight. You get to know your fellow neighbors and often found myself cooking extra to bring to my neighbors. They were also a part of your family! As years have gone by, the once ever so abandoned building frame finally was built to today's Palama Supermarket. Many residents are delighted as you can walk over to get your Korean food fix! Overall a decent place to live but strongly needs to improve living conditions. It's only a 3-story complex so stairs only, no elevators.
