Oh, this one is so good - I almost don't want to share!! Okay, so if you know me, you know I LOVE a good massage. In Hawaii its really hard to find someone that is reasonable and good. Well, today we are adding Chelsea North to the list of awesome providers in the islands. Chelsea works in the Hawaii Wellness Spa which is a little oasis in the midst of town. This was my first time here, and I was very impressed with the facilities. When I walked in the waiting area was warm and inviting; after a quick introduction I completed some paperwork while sipping some water. As I entered my massage room, right away I noticed the room had a shower and tub both were very clean. Then the main event! Chelsea probably has magic fingers that radiate healing rainbows from each fingertip. No kidding. My shoulders and neck were so tight and she gently yet firmly worked those muscles back into shape. She doubled checked on me, to make sure the pressure was to my liking but other than that, kept the chatting down to a minimum (likely because I was snoring 10 minutes into it). I also like that Chelsea used a variety of techniques to ensure the tension was relieved - meaning she customized for the situation (aka my rock hard neck and shoulder muscles) rather than stick to a cookie cutter variety. Towards the end of my massage I was surprised when Chelsea informed me that I was welcomed to take a quick shower if I wanted to wash off some of the lotion/oils. WOW, cool! I have never experienced pain in my neck to the point that it was making me so uncomfortable, I could barely do my (desk) job. On a Thursday night as I was laying in bed, I searched for a masseuse on Yelp and came upon Hawaii Wellness Spa. With such great reviews, I crossed my fingers for an appointment early Saturday. Veronica got back to me in the same night and I saw her today (Saturday). Let me just say THANK YOU Veronica! The massage was absolutely amazing and so relaxing. I know that I tend to tense up at times when I'm getting a deep-tissue massage, and I always wondered if that might contradict what I was there for. Veronica would tell me to "lose the weight" and would help me to do so when this happened. Loved that! She also recommended cupping for me, and so, I did it! The pain is gone and overall, I just feel great. She made me drink my water before leaving (LOL), which I appreciated her for. I highly, highly recommend Hawaii Wellness Spa! Went here for my Mother's Day gift. My husband surprised me with a two-hour queens package. It consisted of a body scrub, massage and facial. Triya was great through the entire process as it was my first time with full-service. She made sure I was comfortable. I'm very sensitive to pressure so she asked me many times if I was okay. It was more than okay that I ended up snoozing for a bit. The place was clean and I was able to take a shower to clean off the oil from the massage. There's also a sauna for an additional fee. To top off a great session, she gave me a yummy drink. It was her secret recipe but it's something I could have daily. Definitely will be back. read more

I love this place. A couple months back was my first visit and I've been coming back every 7-10 days ever since! I work with Veronica and she is amazing. She utilizes several techniques that really get the job done. If you have allot of muscle tension I recommend going for 90 minutes, as 60 minutes is really just hitting the surface. As for he space, it's surprisingly nice, as most wellness spas in honolulu are not that inviting, clean or calming. They have an onsite sauna, showers in the room, plenty of parking, and professional and courteous staff that speaks english exceptionally well (another hard to find in Honolulu). Veronica deserves more than a 5 star review!! She's has delivered the best massage I have ever had in Oahu!! She does a combination of shiatsu and deep tissue. Her studio has the best air circulation and you can relax to wind flowing, wind chimes and soft music. It's so much better than a spa environment! My first time here for a massage by Gretchen. She was so pleasant from the moment I saw her, I knew I would enjoy my massage. Not to mention my husband had gotten a massage by her first and he's already gone twice! She's got great energy, professional and friendly, and boy is she strong! I had to ask for a "light" massage because I am a wuss when it comes to massage. She found all my knots and spent time on it. I wish I had gotten a longer massage! The spa has a really nice ambience and there is ample parking, although it's a bit confusing getting into the building. I've had massages by Janice at another spa before and she is amazing too!! I had my first deep tissue massage with her today and it was an experience that I have to share. She's a true professional and not just going through the motions. Undoubtedly the best massage my fiancé and I have ever had! Veronica was the absolute best. She made us feel welcomed and comfortable from the very start. I travel a lot for work and sitting long hours intensely aggravates my old sports injuries (specifically, neck and upper back). When we first arrived on the island I was absolutely miserable as result of the pain that I was in. The combination of this pain and the anxiety I was having as result of all of the traffic and people nearly had me on the verge of having a panic attack.
