The seats themselves were roomy enough. No blankets, headphones, or pillows were provided. Because of the morning flight time, the attendants often came around which was fine in this case. There were no carry-on baggage fees. PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance): I traveled through and had no need to park (I was dropped off). However, the airport offered onsite parking structures with rates that varied from around $13.00 to a range of $$60.00/daily maximum. Because this was located within Terminal 6 of departing flights, you had to already be an outgoing or incoming passenger to even get here, so parking would be a moot point. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Located deep into Terminal 6 (specifically near Gates 65-69), which they now shared with Alaska Airlines, filled with a ton of gates, plenty of reasonably-priced eateries and duty-free shops, and many monitors as you passed them along the way. There were sufficient places to sit in the terminal with plenty of natural and electric lighting. Once on the airplane, it seemed like any other, so nothing really needed to be said or seen here, but I wished I recalled the type of plane since I was nerdy like that! ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. I liked to be unencumbered and unfettered, so the least amount of clothing, especially while I traveled through an airport, the better! OVERALL My one-way nonstop flight on Hawaiian Airlines out of LAX was fine and got me there safely which truthfully was all that mattered to me on any domestic flights. The seat video monitors helped pass the time. In any case, I'd fly and recommend them again. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $148.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). I've been flying on Hawaiian for 50+ years but this was my first since the merger with Alaska. My trip to LA on July 11 didn't start out smoothly. I had a 7:40am flight (HA 10) but there were two aircraft changes (A330 to 787 to A330) due to mechanical issues so we didn't leave Honolulu until 11am. Service aboard was fine. The executive chefs are now Wade and Michelle from MW Restaurant, so I was anticipating something special. There were two entrees offered for lunch, an eggplant dish and meatloaf. I chose the latter which reminded me of a Swanson TV dinner. The salad was excellent, so I was satisfied, even with a less than appealing entrée. The person sitting next to me in 1A offered a taste of her eggplant. Whoa, I should have ordered that! Dessert was an ube / cream cheese(?) cake ... I didn't partake as I'm not a fan of ube and I try not to eat desserts. On July 14, I flew home on a 787 Dreamliner, so I got to check out the new first-class "capsule". Breakfast service provided a choice of mushroom / cheese omelet or a continental breakfast (fresh fruits, yogurt and granola). I opted for the omelet ... It was light and fluffy but I couldn't taste any mushrooms. It came with sliced potatoes, pork sausage and a grilled tomato wedge. Accompanying the omelet was a dish of fresh fruit and your choice of pastries. I chose a croissant ... It was warm! Service from the flight crew was personable and responsive ... Thanks! First class seating in the 787 is so much better than the A330. I'll be sad to see the 787s transition to Alaska Airlines. However, Hawaiian has yet to enable WiFi on the 787 and the entertainment options were so limited to be almost unusable. Are two albums sufficient in the classical music category? Not for me. Furthermore, the crew had to reboot the entertainment system several times to correct a problem in the rear of the plane. I booked flights to/from Seattle in 2 weeks and to/from Las Vegas a month later ... all on Hawaiian. I hope my experiences are better than it was on this trip.

(Traveled 04/17/26 FR @ 7:00am and several times before): Aloha and how are ya!? I've been a fan of Hawaiian Airlines to/from Los Angeles (LAX) and Honolulu (HNL) ever since I was a kid, but I have recently utilized Alaska Airlines and Southwest Airlines, respectively, because of cheaper and more flights. Now that Alaska and Hawaiian merged in 2024 and ultimately combined to create the Atmos Rewards loyalty program, it made it possible to carry over any mileage points I had. This was my story: PURCHASE(S) One-Way Nonstop Coach Airfare ($148.10): Since I booked the flight two months before its departure, this fare was within my comfort level of $150.00 for any one-way domestic air travel during the high season (spring break months). On a morning flight out of Los Angeles LAX that arrived in Honolulu HNL https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=t9c2BDnU-u8NG_FO0NcOrg around 10:00am the same day, the nonstop flight departed and arrived on-time. Checked Luggage (N/A): Thankfully, I traveled light and only had a carry-on and backpack. Otherwise, they customarily charged $45.00/bag. FLIGHT EXPERIENCE ~Check-in: I checked-in through their app 24-hours prior, had my QR code boarding pass saved to my Google Wallet, and traveled with only a carry-on and backpack, so I was ready to go! Then, it was off to the security checkpoints and through the necessary TSA pleasantries...which surprisingly went quickly thanks to my TSA Precheck and Global Entry status. Once that was done, I headed toward my plane's gate with the excitement that always came when leaving on a vacation - sweet! ~Seat 24A Window: It generally was the same sardine can like all airplanes these days, so unless you were in Business or First Class you got to know your neighbors to the left, right, front, and back of you! The seats themselves were roomy enough. No blankets, headphones, or pillows were provided. Because of the morning flight time, the attendants often came around which was fine in this case. There were no carry-on baggage fees. PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance): I traveled through and had no need to park (I was dropped off). However, the airport offered onsite parking structures with rates that varied from around $13.00 to a range of $$60.00/daily maximum. Because this was located within Terminal 6 of departing flights, you had to already be an outgoing or incoming passenger to even get here, so parking would be a moot point. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Located deep into Terminal 6 (specifically near Gates 65-69), which they now shared with Alaska Airlines, filled with a ton of gates, plenty of reasonably-priced eateries and duty-free shops, and many monitors as you passed them along the way. There were sufficient places to sit in the terminal with plenty of natural and electric lighting. Once on the airplane, it seemed like any other, so nothing really needed to be said or seen here, but I wished I recalled the type of plane since I was nerdy like that! ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. I liked to be unencumbered and unfettered, so the least amount of clothing, especially while I traveled through an airport, the better! OVERALL My one-way nonstop flight on Hawaiian Airlines out of LAX was fine and got me there safely which truthfully was all that mattered to me on any domestic flights. The seat video monitors helped pass the time. In any case, I'd fly and recommend them again. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $148.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). I've been flying on Hawaiian for 50+ years but this was my first since the merger with Alaska. My trip to LA on July 11 didn't start out smoothly. I had a 7:40am flight (HA 10) but there were two aircraft changes (A330 to 787 to A330) due to mechanical issues so we didn't leave Honolulu until 11am. Service aboard was fine. The executive chefs are now Wade and Michelle from MW Restaurant, so I was anticipating something special. There were two entrees offered for lunch, an eggplant dish and meatloaf. I chose the latter which reminded me of a Swanson TV dinner. The salad was excellent, so I was satisfied, even with a less than appealing entrée. The person sitting next to me in 1A offered a taste of her eggplant. Whoa, I should have ordered that! Dessert was an ube / cream cheese(?) cake ... I didn't partake as I'm not a fan of ube and I try not to eat desserts. On July 14, I flew home on a 787 Dreamliner, so I got to check out the new first-class "capsule". Breakfast service provided a choice of mushroom / cheese omelet or a continental breakfast (fresh fruits, yogurt and granola). I opted for the omelet ... It was light and fluffy but I couldn't taste any mushrooms. It came with sliced potatoes, pork sausage and a grilled tomato wedge. Accompanying the omelet was a dish of fresh fruit and your choice of pastries. I chose a croissant ... It was warm! Service from the flight crew was personable and responsive ... Thanks! First class seating in the 787 is so much better than the A330. I'll be sad to see the 787s transition to Alaska Airlines. However, Hawaiian has yet to enable WiFi on the 787 and the entertainment options were so limited to be almost unusable. Are two albums sufficient in the classical music category? Not for me. Furthermore, the crew had to reboot the entertainment system several times to correct a problem in the rear of the plane. I booked flights to/from Seattle in 2 weeks and to/from Las Vegas a month later ... all on Hawaiian. I hope my experiences are better than it was on this trip. read more
Oh man. Make time for you to get to your gate because it is very far from security check point, about 20-25 minute walk. They do have courtesy carts for you. I am Delta loyal, but it's nice to try flying with other airlines once in a while. My flight was very enjoyable and it's a great start to a tropical paradise. They say Aloha and Mahalo and some have hibiscus or plumeria flowers in their hair. Already setting the tone for the vacation. For a small meal/big snack they gave a turkey egg croissant sandwich and a can of juice (if that's what you want) which was tasty and filling. Right before landing they give a Honolulu cookie. I am so happy I flew Hawaiian going to Hawaii as it just makes sense. read more

Hospitality is better than expected on this airline . Lunch was extra garlicky on every course so i carried my own lunch aboard , however the air circulation is top notch . not once did i detect any garlic in the plane , even my seat mate was courteous and had the vegan meal. We have a dedicated LA to KOA crew who does the same flight 24/7 so extremely experienced. Hawaiian hospitality like no other airline . We had same crew as last year , i have facial recognition like AI and i noticed /remembered our flight crew in the airport when i saw them . The first class crew is like no other airline and i highly recommend FC or extra comfort as you basically have your own suite in Extra comfort on the A330. My seat which was FC3 a good seat but only if the people in extra comfort keep their blind closed , otherwise you can't sleep because their blind hits you right in the face while sleeping . While the lay flat seats are nice , the seats don't have head wings so if you have neck issues bring your own neck pillow . i left mine at home home intending to fold the complimentary into a roll but no dice . it's just a pad of fluff . read more

I'm sitting waiting in LAX at the Hawaiian Airlines check-in for over 30 minutes. There's not one single representative behind the desk. This has happened multiple times. I'm not sure how Hawaiian Airlines can allow this to happen. There is a huge line and not a single person to ask a question or to do anything. At least have the decency to tell people what's going on. Very frustrating. read more

Hawaiian Airlines is located at Tom Bradley International Airport, Terminal B, at LAX. For my Family's 1st trip to the Hawaii, we just had to fly with Hawaiian Airlines. I booked our flights online & downloaded the App so I was able to keep track of my flight & any changes with our flights on my phone. I didn't check-in any bags for my departing flight, so I didn't have to deal with anyone at the check-in desk. If you know how LAX is, it's busy! I'm so glad I didn't check anything in Bec i had a feeling we'd be running late & sure enough we did not have time for that anyway. Note: Allow 1-2 hours before your flight, since you still have to go through security & bag check point. We were some of the last ones to board. It was very stressful getting here. As soon as we boarded the plane, the kind Hawaiian Airlines Ladies quickly helped us locate our seats & directed us on where to stow our luggage. It definitely set the mood with Hawaiian music playing with the all the Flight Attendants wearing Hawaiian Shirts & the Ladies wearing a Lei in their hair. Service on the plane exceeded my expectations. We also had a great Pilot who kept us well informed. Breakfast that was given was not bad for a breakfast sandwich served on a plane. The flight attendants came around several times to take orders if you wanted to purchase additional items such as additional food/drinks or if you forgot headphones or needed a blanket. I was ecstatic to get a complimentary adult beverage, because I sure did need one lols. I was happy with my experience & I would Fly with Hawaiian Airlines again on my next trip to the Hawaiian Islands. Aloha & Mahalo! read more

When you speak of the Aloha Spirit of Hawai'i, Hawaiian Airlines exemplifies just that. On today's flight, the Flight Attendants were above welcoming and gave such a great feeling of ALOHA! They are one of the few airlines that serve a hot meal. We were tended to quite often and the Flight Attendants made sure that we had enough to drink and that our meals were served right away. We enjoyed our flight home andand was able to relax. I've never really had a bad experience on Hawaiian Airlines whether in the main cabin or in first class. Although there have been many delays lately, some of which are out of their control such as weather, the Flight Crew had taken care of their passengers. I live flying on Hawaiian Airlines and its usually my first choice for travel. read more
