    Our flight this morning was delayed by 9.5 hours, completely disrupting our trip. There was no one working the American Airlines customer service desk in Terminal 4. We walked to the American Airlines Admiral Lounge hoping to speak with someone, only to be told by the front desk employee that there are no longer any in-person customer service desks in the terminal. He also said he could not assist us unless we paid $79 per person to access the lounge and go upstairs to their private customer service desk. Our only option was to call customer service or pay the fee to go upstairs. What in the absolute heck? Requiring customers to pay just to speak to a representative during a major delay feels like unregulated elitism. This experience was unacceptable, and I will not be choosing to fly American Airlines again. I have also documented multiple 5-star reviews on American Airlines' Yelp pages that appear inconsistent and repetitive, and do not align with the experience I had today.

    Flying out of LA on American lately has come with some delays, and running through Charlotte trying to catch a connection is not how anyone wants to travel. I have found myself either missing flights or sprinting to the gate just to make it. The overall experience is fine when things run on time, but the punctuality out of LA needs some attention. Hoping to see improvement because everything else about the product is solid.

    At a time when the TSA is short staffed, we came early for our 10:45 am departure at 6:30. TSA was light and smooth. Always give yourself plenty of time for unexpected events so that you're not rushed or inconvenienced.

    American Airlines managed to ruin our vacation both ends. On Saturday, June 13th, we were supposed to fly out of Mobile, AL on AA5195 at 5:00am, with a layover in Dallas, TX. Then flying on AA767 from Dallas, TX to Seattle at 8:20am with arrival in Seattle at 12:49 pm. Well, at 10:54pm on Friday, June 12th, we were suddenly notified of the cancelation of our 5am flight on June 13th from Mobile to Dallas and our automatic rebooking on Sunday, June 14... one whole day of our vacation lost! Then Tues. June 23rd , we flew on American Airlines AA717 from Seattle to Dallas. All was well. We were then suppose to take AA5186 at 10:11 pm with arrival in Mobile at 11:55 pm. We sat at the gate for hours, 10:11 time past, we were then told time of flight had changed to 12:20pm with arrival in Mobile at 2:11am. Then at 12:18 we were told flight now changed to 8:00 am. That we would be given hotel & meal vouchers and $70 Uber credit. We stayed at Comfort Inn in Arlington near Six Flags. I accepted my Uber credit but it never showed up in my Uber app so I was never able to use it. On the way to the hotel, I rode with my daughter's Uber vehicle. On the way back to airport, I paid for Uber out of my own pocket, $36.79. Then at the gate, I'm sitting in my wheelchair, they load other ADA passengers and don't board me. So my husband rolls me up to the counter, the AA agent says "He can't roll you down the ramp." Then instead of calling anyone to roll me down the ramp, the agent is looking at me, then calls for first class, active military, boarding groups 1, 2, 3 ,4, then 5. (According to ADA rules, he's supposed to board all ADA customers first.) So finally, I say to agent, I guess I can't get any ADA assistance... so I'll walk. I can walk but I have a neurological disorder that causes weakness on my right side affecting my right eye, arm, hand, and leg which makes slope, bumps, uneven terrain of airline jet bridge dangerous. As the AA agent scanned my ticket he said, "You are just too impatient."... HE'S BOARDED ALL THE WAY TO GROUP 5 without getting someone to wheel me down the ramp!!! So with the help of my husband, I hobble my way down the ramp, stand on my bad leg for several minutes because there is now a line at the bottom of the ramp...

    My flight was cancelled and the excuse they gave was flight crew needed more time. Upon contacting a representative dennis he said he didnt have any flight vouchers and told me to submit it to customer service. I attached their response. Even the flight next day was delayed. Very poor experience.

    Good enough airline. TSA checkpoint was really quick and so was boarding. Minus 2 stars because the WiFi I paid for in-flight works on and off. Like it's $29, make it stable connection. If it's gonna be spotty, charge like $5 or make it FREE.

    So I have flown AA a handful of times, and I've never had any issues at all, until today. We arrived at the gate an hour before the scheduled departure time, only to find out that our flight has been delayed. They announced that they have lost the pilot that was assigned to our flight, so now they need to find a replacement, and are guessing it'll take 2-3 hours. I guess we'll just sit tight in case it takes less time than they think. Looking around at the other gates, I can see that the other two AA flights are also delayed. Did they really loose all of their pilots today? Luckily they do have charging ports underneath every pair of seats, and a wireless charging table by the circular chair. There's also a big bar right next to us, and a market with sandwiches, snacks, and some travel sized items. I have actually never had a flight delayed before. But first time for everything right?

    Flew from Orlando to LAX. We were delayed 6 times and then our seats were changed to a cheaper section. 10 hours of delays! Ridiculous!

However, the overall environment deteriorated as the flight progressed. A number of passengers were noisy and inconsiderate, and the lavatories became increasingly untidy within a few hours, with wet floors and sinks requiring attention. Although the cabin crew deserved recognition for their efforts and professionalism, the inconsistent customer service, uncomfortable seating experience, and declining cleanliness ultimately overshadowed the positives. He was committed to helping us no matter what it took and stayed on the phone with us for a total of 45 minutes offering kind words and remaining patient when every option seemed to come with its own challenges. Chris, the manager, stepped in and completely changed the experience. He was kind, patient, and genuinely compassionate while I was having a very emotional moment. Instead of rushing me through, he took real care in helping us, rebooked us for the next day, and made sure we were okay. What stood out most was that the following day he personally assisted me again to ensure everything went smoothly. That level of attentiveness and empathy meant more than he probably knows. The flight was very smooth with some bumpy ride along the mid-flight but seems comparably similar with any other flights I've taken everywhere. The stewards and stewardesses seemed not so sweet and focused, not the usual, can we offer you something"? I'd say, it's probably cultural although this are just observations on my part, since this time, I bought an economy class ticket during the last minute. Eva Air has the best food compared to other airlines that fly the SEA route, chicken pasta, Chinese-style cooking and a comprehensive fruits and sandwich galore accompanied our meals. The timeline for serving food and snacks was perfect, not so late nor early, just about right. They also seem to recognize our need to sleep and allowed quiet and dark during our flight and bathrooms were also clean and fully packed with everything we needed. One observation is the wide seats and better spacing of their plane compared to other Asian airlines, who pack their seats and seem very tight and skimpy. The stay over transition was alright although they (Eva Airlines transition staff) keep asking for printed tickets in Taiwan when some of us had difficulty activating our phones to show them our online boarding tickets. Since passengers aren't able to access anywhere, they should have a better way of not trying make us feel, we have to painstakingly look for a WiFi access (was too weak for an international airport and inconvenient to those travelers just passing by) to be able to show them our boarding tickets again! Our transfer trip wasn't too bad as we safely landed in Manila on time as scheduled, and smoothly.
