It seems that he has a very good amount of Vans in his fleet BUT it is a gamble of which one you get. Some of them are a bit older than the others but they are functional. The miles are high and some of the dashboard lights were on. I think people in the other comments were concerned about the cleanliness and interior. A lot of these vans are used for so many reasons and driven all over from Hilo to Kona daily so there are signs of wear and tear.. However, we never had an issue of being stranded or the vehicle not starting. We had a 15 PV and went down to an 8PV and During the weekend that we were in Hilo the PV definitely beat the cost of renting two vehicles. If the opportunity arises and we are ever on the Big Island again as an entire family, I would definitely look into renting from here again.
