Momi Dolce's owner and confectioner is Michelle Serota who is from Brazil and she brings her tradition to Hawai'i. She sells her brigadeiros (pronounced "Bree-gah-day-ro") by 4-pack or 6-pack. Her featured flavors are: -Dark chocolate -Crunchy chocolate with cacao nibs -Coconut (white chocolate) -Passion fruit or lilikoi (white chocolate) -Kauai coffee -Almond All of the flavors are intense but balanced by the premium chocolate and condensed milk used in making them. I suppose one could compare them to ganache that is used in making chocolate truffles. These brigadeiros are creamy and fudge-like though it melts smoothly as you might pop them in your mouth. The good thing about Momi Dolce is that Michelle can be reached online so you don't have to wait for her appearance at the Kaka'ako Farmers Market. You can thank me later... Obrigado!

Hubs had to fast from 6 am for his 2 pm surgery so I thought he would probably be starving and would enjoy a delectable salt and butter roll from here. At $4.50 a piece I consider this a luxury for us. I found a close stall in the parking structure. A very cheerful polite male employee took my order. I had seen two occupied tables as I walked into the shop. Both had matcha drinks. Why not? I asked the young man assisting me, what's the best matcha drink? He said his favorite was banana matcha with extra banana foam. Okay I'll try it. He repeated it to the cashier. So popular there was a wait for beverages to be prepared. Soon enough mine was ready. I think Doc would enjoy this drink. This shop is a working bakery. Many yummy pastries displayed. Menu is posted high up above to choose from. Rather tiny shop with room for customers to stand in line to order and wait for drinks. Clean, busy with a few tables and chairs outside but pretty much in direct sun.

Throw tomatoes at me or whatever. BUT!! Holey Grail blows my socks off. Delicious, impeccable, gorgeous, more adjectives!! I love their Original Sin (basic vanilla) and Strawberry Fields (strawberry and matcha) but I know their entire menu is incredible (off vibes, but still). The matcha (made with vanilla syrup and mac nut milk) is also to die for!! I would also say prices are fairly affordable for the quality. Birthday Dinner & A New Favorite Date-Night Spot…read more We came to Cino for my birthday, and from the moment we walked in until we left, the entire experience was fantastic. The atmosphere is beautiful, intimate, and upscale without feeling stuffy--exactly the kind of place you want to visit when you finally get a babysitter and have a night out. Our waitress, Kayla, was phenomenal throughout the entire evening. She was attentive without hovering, incredibly friendly, and gave us some great recommendations. Her customer service genuinely stood out. She was a breath of fresh air compared with a lot of restaurant experiences nowadays, and she made our birthday dinner feel especially memorable. We truly wish Kayla the absolute best in all of her future endeavors--she's a real asset to the restaurant! We ordered quite a bit so we could try a variety of things, including the Fritto Misto, Cacciucco, Herb Pappardelle, the new seasonal Butternut Squash Agnolotti, and Roasted Cauliflower. Everything was delicious, but the pastas were definitely standouts. The Butternut Squash Agnolotti in particular was fantastic, and I loved that they had a seasonal option that felt unique. The Fritto Misto was crispy and flavorful without being overly heavy, while the Cacciucco was rich and packed with seafood. The portions across the board were also a great size, especially for an upscale restaurant. And of course, we had to try a few cocktails. We ordered the Blackberry Mint and Basil Mezcal Sour, and both were excellent. The cocktails all have those little creative touches that make them feel special rather than just being another standard cocktail. Overall, Cino really impressed us. Great food, generous portions, beautiful atmosphere, creative cocktails, and exceptional service. It's not often that every part of a dining experience comes together this well. We're definitely adding Cino to our date-night rotation for those precious evenings when we have a babysitter. If you're looking for somewhere special for a birthday, date night, or just a really good dinner, Cino is absolutely worth a visit. Thank you to the entire Cino team--and especially Kayla--for making my birthday dinner such a memorable one!
