Shoutout to Hawkeyes for becoming our 'go-to' place after recently moving to Lake Stevens. We moved up the street and became regulars during the time our kitchen was being remodeled. Since we remodeled the kitchen ourselves, we were frequent flyers at Hawkeyes for quite a few weeks. The food is delicious and consistent (we've ordered and re-ordered the same meals for a reason). The staff is friendly and welcoming. We love Hawkeyes, and we'll continue to recommend it to friends who visit. read more

This is a great place if you want to watch almost any sport while having a beer. The wait staff were kind, attentive, but not bothersome. There are at least 10 screens to choose from. While I was watching golf, others were watching drag racing and soccer. The music was good and not playing so loud I couldn't hear or concentrate. The price of the food and beer were decent. Came in for dinner, we sat ourselves and moments later was greeted by our server. Music is loud but what you expect? It's a pub and grill. The kids play pool. Games were .50 cents, so pretty cheap and kids loved it. Our orders came in decent time. The clam chowder was amazing, very rich! Mushroom burger was lacking flavor. Kids and hubby enjoyed their meals. I'd return again to give it another try. read more

I've given this place a few tries and I need to remind myself not to go back. It's loud, the food is just mediocre and the service has been good and bad. They do have a lot of choices on the menu and the tots are good but not worth coming back for. They are also one of those places that charges you for stuff like a side of ranch. read more

We were in for the hawks game tonight and the bartenders were very busy but still very attentive. The service was great, the food delicious. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews of this place. I've been here a few times now and haven't had any complaints yet. Tonight I ordered the deluxe nachos and they're literally the biggest plate of nachos I've ever had before. We were frequently here when they had the all you can eat crab, and at that time the beer was so refreshing because it was probably the coldest beer I'd ever been served... but they don't do the crab any more, so we don't go there. Bummer. read more

Food is pretty good and quite affordable, but the service is TERRIBLE. These waitresses are slow and act like they are doing you a favor serving you food. They are consistently bad with horrible attitudes. Do yourself a favor and head over to Razzles. Same food/pricing, but with a way better staff and atomsphere. You're welcome. read more

SERIOUSLY GO ANYWHERE ELSE! Came here after a weekend of camping on my way out of town and was astonished on how bad the service was here. First, it took at least 10-15 minutes to even get someone to take a drink order, no silverware. After 15-20 minutes, and no drinks to be delivered, another server came to our table to take our order again, barely wrote anything down before telling us about being freshly divorced and randomly walks off mid-sentence while we were all jaw-dropped wondering what had just happened. It was still ANOTHER 10 minutes before our drinks came, all wrong, and a carafe of coffee without any cups for the coffee. Finally when we do get cups, the other server takes the carafe away without anyone getting coffee, it took someone from our table to follow her to the kitchen to finally get coffee in a cup. Meanwhile, we are still waiting on our food we had ordered well over 45 minutes earlier. After tracking down one of our two servers, I had enough and told her I was leaving and it was directly regarding how bad their service is, and we still hadn't had any food. She proceeded to argue with me and showed me that my food was right there ready to be served and wouldn't just let me just cancel the entire order, not even caring how bad her service was. It was another 10 minutes to get my card ran while I stood there watching her try and figure out how the computer system worked before having another server finish. Be prepared for some attitude from the wait staff. I've been in there dozens of times, and nobody takes a second to say, hello, or we'll be right with you. My son who is 11 refuses to come here even though he just loves their steamed clams because it takes too long for them to come and take our drink order, and he thinks the waitresses are "mean." That being said, the FOOD IS AWESOME! I love their Top Sirloin, and Salmon and have dietary restrictions, so can only have salad . They make a huge salad as a substitute for the other sides, and I really appreciate that. I would eat here a LOT more often if the wait staff were friendlier! read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE or you will be extremely disappointed. My boyfriend and I have given this place a handful of chances (after already having cold hashbrowns and slow service in the past) considering every other burger joint in Lake Stevens sucks. Hawkeye's did suck the least until tonight.... After watching an older gentlemen walk up to the bar and throw his burger down stating that he'll take a burger that doesn't taste like crap....we should've walked out then but we didn't. We ordered a chicken wrap add onion and cheese and a bacon cheesebuger... pretty simple right? NOT. The wrap came with no cheese or onion and the BACON cheeseburger had no bacon and cold french fries. Needless to say, we shoved some food in our stomach because we were hungry, hence going out to eat and walked out with no intentions of ever returning. We live nearby and go often. I enjoy their soups, especially the mushroom soup. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient. Their new menu includes deep fried pickles, one of the tastiest I've ever eaten. read more

The burger was delicious. So were the fries! I ordered the Gorgonzola burger; has Gorgonzola and blue cheese. The whole burger was simple yet was a perfect blend that melted in your mouth! The service was "ok," doesn't warrant more then a 20% tip. Their pool table is pretty nice! The felt feels fresh and it is only .50 a game. Nope and nope, been comimg here for last 8 years, always had good service, but now it seems as if the management has lost touch with their establishment. I drink Bacardi gold and coke, so does my wife. For the last two months they jave either been out of Cole or bacardi gold. What kind of bar regulary runs out of such bar staples.... all the time now. Just moved to the area excited to find a pub that was kid friendly. Walked in stood by the door while the waitress glared at us. Ended up sitting ourselves. immediately got our menus. ordered our food. My husband got a prime rib dip I got a Teriyaki Chicken burger and my daughter a grilled cheese. After about 20 minutes our food was finally up in the window. It sat there for another 15 while 4 waitresses walked by. As we were sitting annoyed our waitress was on the other side of the pub bar-tending finally got our food and refills on our drinks. Of course my daughter's grilled cheese was fine (it's hard to screw one of those up) My husband's prime rib dip was NOTHING but fat. My chicken burger was awful. My french fries were so burnt and cold from sitting that it was like biting into air. The burger was disgusting. After FINALLY getting someone's attention my husband showed her his Fat dip and we got that taken off the check. Had the waitress actually noticed neither my husband and I ate our food that would have been a little better. $30 later and absolutely NO tip for the waitress we were out of there. Very disappointed in the horrible slow services and the waste of money I paid to get sick off their food. Awful place to go and will never go again. read more

A group of friends and I decided we wanted karaoke on a Saturday in Lake Stevens. Beinf relatively new to the area and not really the bar hopping type, we did a Google search and came up with Razzals. We stopped by and the place was dead...at 10:30 PM on a Saturday. We couldn't tell they were even doing karaoke because no one was singing. We ordered drinks anyway. My first two Jack & Cokes were pretty decent. All of the drinks that came after were all super watered down. It was like they actually doused them with water. Not even extra soda. They were gross. Otherwise, the service wasn't terrible, I guess. I gave it two stars because my friend got food and said it was good. We won't be coming back. read more

We've been coming here for several years now and the food and service have remained consistent. If you are a regular, you will like Hawkeye's - it is definitely a gathering place for people after work or to hangout on game nights. We recently came in for lunch on a Monday and the place was a third full. We started with the Steamer Clams (they also have Steamer Mussels) - a pound of clams or mussels in a white wine and garlic broth served with 4 pieces of garlic butter toast. I asked if we can have a combination, but the chef said it was already pre-portioned so no can do. Good flavor and we didn't find a single empty shell! We also ordered the Mushroom Burger and Chili Burger. Both are served with a choice of fries or tater tots. My Mushroom Burger was okay, I didn't care for the mustard they put on it, though. The Chili Burger is served open-faced and had great flavor. Our servers were very attentive and service was quick and friendly. read more

Terrible customer experience and horrendous customer service. Disappointed. Today, I stopped by for a quick lunch and took a spot at the bar. No menu or greeting (and I remind you I'm at the bar) for close to 15 minutes. I've been here a handful of times over the years and I have not experienced anything like this in the past, and I'm completely shocked at how the next events transpired. Here is the dialogue: Any food or drink specials today? Yes, $2 tacos! Great, I'll take 3. (20 minutes later) Sir, you ordered three orders of two tacos?" No, only three tacos Well, here are six for you. I didn't order six tacos, though. Well here you go. Seriously, it can't be that difficult to order three tacos. After many moments of back and forth I was told that "I could grab my things and go" and was told that a manager would be there tomorrow (Sunday). I understand that things happen. Maybe this gal was simply having a bad day. I get that. But as a business owner I would always want to ensure a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all customers. Recently stopped in for the first time in a few years with some friends for some eats and drinks The place was a ghost town on what should've been a pretty busy night for most any restaurant bar or tavern I ordered a Philly cheese steak and service was prompt and friendly. beers were served cold and prompt. but the sandwich was lame , hardly any meat at all on a sandwich that should have a fair amount of beef on it if you're going to call it a cheesesteak sandwich Probably would not ever have a bite to eat there again read more

This place has pretty good food. The service isn't so great, but they are generally pretty busy so I guess that's to be expected. We started with an order of deep fried mushrooms and onion rings. Both were very good. I ordered the Prime Rib dip with a salad. My husband ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich. The salad was nothing but weeds. If you like designer lettuces this is your place. I hate bitter greens so it was inedible for me. I prefer just lettuce in my salad and prefer it to be disclosed if they're going to give me weeds. The sandwich was... different. I was expecting the usual deli-thin sliced meat. Instead I got one slice of prime rib on a french roll. Fat, gristle, and all. The flavor was good but... um... no. My husband's pulled pork was flavorful but he didn't eat it all, which is not normal for him. He never did tell me what exactly was wrong with it. The fries were excellent. So maybe the trick is to stick with fried food? We'll try their burgers next time. read more

Our first servers shift apparently ended and an hour and a half later someone decided to come over and offer to get us anything else ( after us walking up to the bar multiple times to get our own drinks ) and then proceeded to be pretty snotty with us. It's not like we don't say please and thank you so there was no reason for us to be ignored by THREE different employees for that long. I'm not a bad tipper by any means but shitty service or should I say ' lack there of ' certainly qualifies for less than 15%. We ordered: teriyaki burger- bun sucked, meat was a frozen patty, fries were good. Ordered the Lynchburg lemonade, that was good ~mike Prime rib dip- my bun was good, toasted as I like. The meat TERRIBLE, was fatty and dry, maybe it was the end of the loaf? I don't know, but it was not good. The au jus was nicely seasoned. The fries had little crunchy things and we're delicious. My salad was terrible. It came swarming with fruit flies and produce that had seen better days. My husband had prime rib and said it was pretty good. The iced tea was the icky type from the fountain instead of being fresh brewed. There was nothing exciting about the atmosphere. The waitress was nice and attentive enough.
