This was our first time here and it won't be our last. We were greeted and seated quickly. We chose to eat in the lounge area. It has tall chairs at the bar and one long booth with a few tables and tall chairs on the opposite side. There are black curtains on the windows, blocking the view of the parking lot and creating a nicer, more private ambiance. The bartender was very knowledgeable and fun. He was also our waiter. They had other people bring our food out. We had the bread appetizer and it was very good. We took most of it to go and enjoyed it over the next couple days too. The burgers and fries were delicious. Good quality food. We'll be trying their steak next time

I was very impressed with this dining. My wife took me here for a birthday dinner after watching an episode of Chopped. Lindsey is one of the owners. She came out to greet us while eating. She is awesome to have met her. The server was watchful for our orders. I had flank steak rare. My wife had a double pork chop. My steak was so tender, perfectly cooked. The pork chop was perfectly cooked tender and so juicy. Bistro with a bar, I didn't see the bar area which was quite busy with a lot of hustle. The serving area became busier as the opening time is 3:00 we were there for a 5:00 dinner. By 5:30 it was starting to fill up. I had the view to the kitchen seeing how efficiently the staff worked.

Food is delicious, service is outstanding. Only 1 complaint that I took off 1 star due to take quite awhile for the food come out

wow wow! stumbled upon the place after a hike and it was the best service and great food. Started with the truffle fries and they were great! Not too much truffle. We ended up all getting the filet which were cooked to perfection, and great sides. The service here was amazing, our server was so friendly, checked up on us, made a few jokes. Great experience here and would recommend.

Fun place to go with my friend we love the drinks and foods always good, don't love a lot on the menus my self but the ambiance for me and my friends are the reason why I go! And service is bar non some of the best! I love the fries.

Nice outdoor atmosphere, good portion sizing and pricing. We were starving from a hike and was able to get seating for three. Everyone really enjoyed their meals although my husbands filet mignon was overcooked it just lets us know to ask for medium rare next time . The only thing I wished was a tidge better was our server (was gone for long periods of time and had to be reminded on drinks/items requested a lot), but at least the food was tasty!

Decided to treat myself tonight to some refreshing adult cocktails and was not disappointed. Alley ( my bartender) was on point and very attentive . Love her vibe and how she described every drink I asked about. Just get your hot buns over there and get some.

The place was packed (understandably so!), and while there are three floors, it seemed like only the lower two were in use. Still, there was plenty of seating and room to roam. The bar has a definite dive bar charm, with a lively, local vibe. There were games like pool, skee-ball, and others that added to the laid-back, casual energy. The staff was fantastic--super friendly and upbeat, even with the festival rush. They went all in on the strawberry theme with cute decorations hanging from the ceiling and drinks served in plastic strawberry-shaped cups. A really fun touch! As for food, I took a chance on the "calamari"--which turned out to be a cleverly disguised sliced hot dog shaped like an octopus. Unexpected? Yes. Oddly delicious? Also yes. Definitely not your standard bar food, but it totally worked in a novelty kind of way. If you're looking for a relaxed, playful spot with strong hometown energy--especially during a festival--Monkey Bar delivers.

We love the family friendly atmosphere and the always friendly waitresses. The food is consistently well-made and delicious. We've been here more times than I can count and have never had a less than great experience. I'm O B S E S S E D with their homemade soups. They are to die for. Best clam chowder and fish in chips in town, too! Better than any seafood restaurant I've been to in this state, way better than Ivars. And every time we go, they have a new soup to try! Which is awesome, but also sometimes frustrating because I've had several that I'd love to have again (Mexican chicken noodle and creamy mushroom chicken live rent free in my head) But they never seem to offer the special soups on any kind of rotation. Can we get a soup calendar on the website?! Not even joking. The number of times I've nearly rear ended people while driving by trying to catch the soup of the day on the sign outside is a little embarrassing. I love this place. The only things I could suggest to make this place even better are minor. The iced tea is not great. Tastes more like tap water than tea. And I wish they had a kids steak option on the kids menu because my kids always want some of our steak. Also, I wish they would turn the music down slightly during the family friendly hours. It gets quite loud. But other than those tiny detail, Hawkeyes is my kinda place!

It was okay, but a bit overcooked, and it came with fries... maybe 25 total for a 3-piece fish plate. Our bill was around $65 for two beers (with the $2 off Thursday special), the calamari, and the 3-piece halibut. Just overpriced for what it was. The place itself is cute, and they had acoustic music going, which was nice. The staff was friendly and really hustling with how busy it was. Overall, though, I didn't feel like it was worth it and probably wouldn't go back. I wish we could do .5 stars. I struggled between 2 & 3. I ended with 3 for the venue, live music (she was really good) and the awesome staff.

In long We heard great things about this place even before it opened; the grapevine just had awesome news about this space finally turning into something that would stick. We pulled up today and immediately noticed the outdoor play area for the kids. It's cordoned off by oak wine barrels, so they're kinda blending their concepts artfully before you even walk in. We're not *that* local, but we definitely buy the idea that there are few, if any, great kid-friendly places around here. Inside, it might be pretty packed already. There are big heavy wooden tables, with more upstairs. You can push them together for groups. You get laminated menus, and they do have table service, or you can order at the counter. They very carefully manage all their beers, wines, ciders, canned cocktails, and so on. Rumor has it they lured a brewer away from Urban Family and will be churning out their own stuff soon. We checked out 2 things from the regular menu and 3 from the HH menu. It wasn't too packed at first, but by 4:00 the regulars, families, and HH crowd were really filling it up. Wines We tried the pinot grigio, red blend, chardonnay, and rosé from the by-the-glass menu. They're all good enough to order most any place, and finding them by the glass shows they're putting real thought into all the details here. Miso pickles Absolutely ridiculously good. Nice seasoning, tart miso flavor, crunchy fresh cauliflower, carrot, and cukes. Would not only order again but attempt to reverse-engineer these and have them at home. Great HH value. Fried pickles Great with or without the cheese that's softened on some (but not all) of the piles. Awesome dipping crema with a bit of kick from hot peppery seasoning. Drummies No longer offered with green buffalo sauce, which sounds like a sad farewell, based on the description of it (jalapeño & vinegary hot sauce, I think). But the gochujang was buttery and peppery. They pressure-fry the wings so they are crazy tender and moist. Humongous drums, too. Awesome HH value--true, you get only 2, but there's plenty of veg in the bowl. Smashburger Another fantastic HH menu item. Nice fresh crunchy toppings, hearty roll, and beautifully seasoned and cooked patty. Not too crunchy, which I appreciate. Easy to imagine someone ordering more than one and getting way too full. Smokey Dipper Regular menu. Awesome grilled steak flavor to the meat, got some salty broccoli mixed in for crunch and variety. The broc would be a good appetizer on its own! Hearty, savory jus, and the onion rings are out of this world. Even I couldn't finish them all, despite how great they tasted. Super generous portion. The staff here are all free spirits and great conversationalists, which is super nice to see. Nothing about this place feels like a chain in any way, although they clearly put real money into the buildout. Such a welcome addition to Lake.

I haven't been sicker than a got dang dog like that in a real long time. I don't think there's anyway to describe the scene in my bathroom other than 1970s Vietnam war crimes. Once again Service was great. Waitstaff was so fun. I just didn't enjoy the side of food poisoning that was given to me. The best part is because of the waitstaff I Will probably go again!
