What a total waste of time, this place obviously isn't fluent in 50's Fords. I totally wasted $1000. This garage is the fine example of why it's best to service your own vehicle. I have to mention Matt. He is like a walking wikipedia when it comes to cars (except he seems to always be correct). He answered all my questions, and even coached me on haggling and it was a total success. He also gave me a free travel mug and a bottle opener keychain, too :) The downside, if you could call it that, was the $100 charge. But that's comparable to similar shops in the cities and it did come with two hours of testing and the peace of mind of knowing my car isn't going to fall apart like a looney tunes car. When I arrived, Mike greeted me with a friendly smile and explained the process clearly -- no jargon, no pressure, just honesty. One big bonus? They offer a free ride service for locals to and from the shop. I've never had that before, and it made dropping off my car so much easier. They also communicated throughout the day via text with updates, which I really appreciated. When I came back to pick up my car, the bill was walked through step-by-step, and I was told that if the issue worsens, I can bring it back within a year for a free assessment or fix. The repair was completed, and I left assuming everything was taken care of. The next day my tire pressure light came on. I figured it probably just needed to be reset after the service. By Monday morning, the tire was completely flat. I called the store expecting them to take responsibility and help resolve the issue, especially since the tire was under warranty and they had just serviced it. Instead, I was told I would need to tow the vehicle back in. I explained that I didn't think I should have to pay for a tow when the problem appeared to be related to the work they had just done. Rather than working toward a solution, the manager, Jonathan, became combative and argumentative. The tone was defensive and dismissive, not helpful. When I asked for the name of his manager or someone I could escalate the issue to, he refused to provide it and acted like there was no one above him. I ended up having to call the main customer service line myself to try to get this resolved. I did not create this issue. The tire was covered under warranty, I brought it in for repair, and shortly after the service the tire was completely flat. A reasonable response would have been an apology, arranging a tow, and correcting the problem. Instead, I was met with resistance and poor customer service. Really frustrating experience, and not what you want when dealing with something that directly affects vehicle safety.
