Our cat has urinary tract issues. If he does not "tinkle" for 2 or 3 days, it is a sign of a blockage that, unattended, can be deadly. Our regular vet was booked solid and suggested Capital Pet Urgent Care. Our experience when we needed an emergency visit in the past is the closest is miles and miles away and booked solid. To our surprise, Capital was a mile away and got us right in. George (cat) was handled with great care in a very nice and modern clinic. The stinker "tinkled" in his carrier en route to the vet! However, tests were run to rule out a blockage and symptoms of one and why. It was very thorough. Pet ER vets are not inexpensive. I felt Capital Pet Urgent Care's fees were reasonable for services rendered. We recommend Capital Pet Urgent Care for your urgent pet care needs. They gave us answers to his issues that will prevent his issue cropping up again. read more

It really is a walk in clinic! I tried to get my very sick dog in a different one this morning and was told to come back at 7 tomorrow morning! From the moment we signed in till Molly was discharged, we were welcomed by the professional vet tech Ted and were taken in to be be seen by Dr Dahl. Alyssa the receptionist was helpful with the financial arrangements. There was another paraprofessional but I cannot remember her name. This is the sort of clinic that does the assessment and labs- no sending out. Molly got fluid replacement and meds while there and we were discharged with her meds and very thorough instructions. I called 8 hospitals and was told they were closed to additional pets. Capital was different. I brought my cat into the urgent care for help w a breathing problem. They evaluated my cat for 5 minutes said he was suffering but had no real answers. They recommended invasive options and also possible euthanasia. People were nice but everything appeared rushed. I asked for a small supply of the diuretic which they agreed to and then then when I was on my way over to pick it up decided not to provide the medicine. I took him to another clinic where they observed him for 5 hour. provided medicine which has helped him recover. About 2 months later my cat has improved due to the medicine. read more

If you have a Pure breed animal do not bring it to this place!!!!! My wife and I brought in one of our Pure Breed Main coon cats because she had an abscess that was on left side of her face that we noticed that had opened up on New Years Eve, after giving birth to five kittens. We couldn't get her into our normal vet until the following week. So, they advised us to bring her to this place on that Friday the 2nd, This wasn't our first time bringing her to this location. The first time we brought her in for the same issue we were charged $1500 to do a surgery to close an abscess. She was given antibiotics and everything healed up and we went on with life. Now this being the second time, my wife asked the VET what causes this? The Vet said I don't know but they would clean it up and give her antibiotics and leave the wound open because it had open in two places and was too big to surgically close. Again, when she gives birth to kittens, she would get this abscess. Clearly, they lack the knowledge of this breed of cats. We paid $250 and took our cat home. The next day Animal Services show up to my house with a complaint that we neglected our cat. We showed them that they are greatly cared for... They have their own room in the home. Then they contacted our Vet to verify information about our animals. Common sense would have had them to check the information first before accusing some one of neglect. Needless to say, we will never bring any of our cats to this place again EVER!!!! read more

Got there early for my appointment 15 minutes early. Waited almost 2 hours and was not even seen and the intended didn't come in until 45 minutes after that and told me that it'll be a while longer before my pet is seen. I understand pet emergencies but my pet is just as good as anyone else is You know they have two doctors okay not my fault. My son took his cat Capital pet urgent care, and he opened an account with Credit care, so he can pay his bill. He was approved that day, but he did not have the physical card, so they asked him for his ID, in order to bill him. Today, 12/30/2024, I was getting ready to pay my credit care bill, and find out that they charged me instead...what kind of fraudulent crap is that! I was not even there! So I call them to dispute this, and they say that they cannot do anything about this...this is an absolute fraud!!! How do they charge someone else for a service when my son provided you all his information!!! 5 minutes later, I get a call back from them, and they are telling me that he needs to come down now in order to resolve this situation...he does not drive! No license!!! I do not have the gas money to come all the way to Olympia...Please tell me how I can be charged for something I did not approve?! Oh ya...when I called them to tell them what happened, the person on the phone said that the charge happened on December 21st, so they could not do anything about it!!! Here I am, less than a year later, back with another dog. First place I called after a great experience last summer. I can't believe they could see me within 24 hours of my dogs accident, and within 6 hours of calling them. I am beyond grateful. They stabilized his broken leg (no idea how he broke it) and gave me a list of ortho surgeons for follow up. This will be my first go to when something happens. I appreciate the help and their hours. Thanksgiving Day at 4:pm we had a dog emergency... after several calls, we reached Capital Pet Urgent Care. They did not give me another phone number and tell me no, instead they said "start driving now". We will get your dog comfortable tonight. At 4:35 my daughter called and said that they got her dog in surgery to save his eye. Yesterday her dog got his last stitch out and they did indeed save his eye! Our family is very grateful for the staff caring enough to give up time with their families on a holiday to do what was necessary to give Russell a chance to keep both of his eyes.
