The ticket booth is staffed and there are also automated ticket vending machines.

With new trains, the Victoria Line is probably one of the better lines on the London Underground…read morealongside the Jubilee Line and Metropolitan Line and perhaps could edge it to be the best line on the network - despite having just 16 stations it still has great access around the city and is a line popular on a Tottenham Hotspur matchday as it provides access to Tottenham Hale and Seven Sisters for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (still a good walk however and horrific on a matchday). It is the light blue line on the tube map and quite new compared to the other lines on the Underground, as it opened in 1968 and spans 13 miles. Interestingly, the Victoria Line took a further few months to expand to London Victoria. It was then opened by Queen Elizabeth II who rode from Green Park to Victoria. Many stations do have step-free access and are quite modern some step-free stations include: Tottenham Hale, King's Cross St. Pancras, Green Park, Victoria, Vauxhall and Brixton - this means you can hop off a train at Euston Road (head to Kings Cross St Pancras for step-free or Euston) and then go onto Green Park, where you can then get the Jubilee line to continue your journey throughout central London, the same being said for Victoria which is close to Westminster and serves the train station of the same name. Most Victoria Line stations do serve others meaning it is pretty easy to hop on and off another tube depending on the construction of the station - I personally found Green Park to be much longer to get in-between two lines just to name one. The most intensively used line on the Underground also means trains are pretty frequent and modern which is a bonus - odds are if you're using the Underground you will be using this line as part of your journey across London, and for the connections across other lines being much better than any other line combined - I feel this has the edge to warrant my highest rating for any London Underground network of four-stars.

I love this train line, I love that I can get from Bethnal Green to Stoke Newington if timed…read morecorrectly in 5 minutes (the trains come on average every 20 minutes but I always seem to have just missed one). The crowd is rambunctious to say the least, proper east London blood mixed in with the odd commuter heading to or from Liverpool Street. But one thing that leaves little to be desired is Cambridge Heath Station. Times being hard there are never any staff and the ticket office always has its shutters down so Cambridge Heath becomes the perfect urinal, homeless shelter and if far from private, great place to shoot up to an audience of 5.30 home comers apparently. But walk on by, turn a blind eye, hold your breath stepping over the puddles of piss and get onto the platform and take a look around and the great 360 view of East London, it's rare opportunity to get up this high and get the view in all directions. And just think, all for a quid or free if you like to live life on the edge, which I'd never encourage

This is a nice station with no ticket office, a ticket machine and oyster card readers…read more There is a little cafe underneath the station which seems to be constantly changing owners, but is sometimes nice to wait in. Trains come every 15 minutes and are now generally on time. Also the sign used to say 'You are here' and point to cambridge but has now thankfully been changed (i think) and will no longer confuse touristy types who are looking for wonderful universities rather than strange cafes and 'gentlemans clubs'. Overall, a lovely station (ish)

The washrooms are convenient and finding the platforms is reasonably easy. It's a relatively navigable station with numerous connections to local destinations and beyond. Use of this station is more likely to facilitate your journey than detract from it.

Very large and busy station close to the Borough Market, London Bridge, and within walking distance…read moreto many attractions such as the Tower Bridge, The Shard, etc. I took the Jubilee line here when arriving in town to run the London Marathon as our hotel was close by. The Northern line also runs through here. This station goes pretty deep and good thing the escalators worked! Also, tap and pay was easy here. It was a main station for the marathon runners to board and head to the start line area. Its one of the oldest stations dating back to the 1830's. There are now some current businesses here to grab a coffee and bite to eat. Can be a bit confusing to navigate for some as its massive and winding so make sure you know where you're going.

Other Positives: - Small station, not too busy - Never more than a few people queuing at the single automated ticket machine Negatives: - It's in Zone 3 - They just installed new ticket barriers, in that moment the station lost a bit of it's charm - Only one ticket machine Places you can get to from Tulse Hill (based on memory, not fact): London Bridge, Wimbledon (handy for the District line), Brighton, Gatwick, Luton, Croydon and Kilburn. With two choices of cross-platform pedestrian routes (bridge or tunnel), the journey from coffee shop to platform can be tailored to whatever your mood and whatever the weather. All in all, a reasonably pleasant start to my morning commute.
