There are so many stones in all shapes, sizes, and price ranges. They've got jewelry and books and we can't forget the fossils! I really enjoyed my time shopping around until I needed help. The lady with the red hair helped me and I don't know if she was just having a bad day or what but she wasn't very friendly and her energy was off. I will still pop back in there and shop, so don't let that one persons bad day keep you from spending an hour (or more) looking at all the cool stuff they have to offer.

He had to cut off my ring but he took great care in doing so, making sure I wasn't getting cut. I paid $30 to have it cut off. I asked him to hold onto my ring and I would come in as soon as the swelling went down (from various ways my husband and I tried to get ring off). I went in today to get ring resized and it was ready for me just 3 hours later. He even shined it up for me. The work is seamless, I can't even tell where he added onto it. In all, with cutting the ring, I paid $80. My coworker was stunned at the price; she had paid $150 to get her ring resized. His jewelry there is beautiful. I would love to get some at some point. It's very unique. It's on the spendy side but worth every penny.

There is a wider variety of gems, stones and so much more here. I've liked all across town to find a gift for my friend. He had exactly what I wanted. I customized my own necklace raw cut of Citrine, accented with two smaller stones (HK jade and an amber that he had to resize the hole for the necklace) and a gold metal to top it off. I got to choose every part of my necklace from the length of dark brown genuine leather string to the stones and accents. On top of all this Jim gave amazing customer service, patient, polite and friendliness (these two are not the same and he demonstrated both). I will be back.

Its understandable that they let customers in this way as it's not the greatest of walkable neighborhoods. They've got a really great selection of rocks, crystals, and some fossils. I'm more into fossils than I am rocks/minerals. Pricing appears to be average to upper-average, but I'm not much of an expert as well tbh. I go for what looks 'pretty' and 'cool-looking' versus what's rare and cost more. "Amateurish" is the term for myself I guess lol! We did have good interactions with (I believe her name was) Taylor, who knew her stuff. Whatever we asked for, she knew where it was. I've been to about six other rock stores around Portland, but in comparison this place would be in the middle, about 4th best out of six, regarding what they have in stock. We'll be back someday.
