Walked in for help with adult severe chest cold 9:30 Sat morning, mid flu season; my regular doc (EPIC MD) were booked. I was greeted by friendly front desk, only one other person in the waiting room got called back right as I entered. After I completed new patient forms was called back maybe 5 minutes later. Nurse/tech was great, friendly, quick and professional. 5 minutes later in an exam room, less than 10 minutes the doc walked in, I was actually a bit surprised. Auditory chest exam, explained treatment options for acute bronchitis (oral steroid optional but I'm going on my honeymoon in a week so I need to get healthy!) and prescriptions e-mailed so there's no possible misinterpretation or mis-dosage. I got there when they opened. I was number 4. they skipped over me and took 4 people after me. I waiting for an hour in a half before deciding to leave. when I told them just take my name off the list they just said ok. no good customer servic, no empath, nothing. I give two stars for Dr. Agha, he's a very good doctor. However, I do not agree with their billing policy. I was in one day at 4:30pm. I paid my copay to see the doctor. Nothing was done except I was prescribed a Medrol dose pak and some pain relief meds. I had to wait in the waiting area for a while due to other patients being in there...I get it. I was brought back around 5:00pm. A few weeks later I get a statement from the urgent care with a cpt code 99051 and just over $20 toward my deductible..not a bunch of money, I don't have an issue paying my deductible, but I do have an issue with an office billing for an after hours office visit when I was clearly there during business hours. I called the billing office last week and did not receive a call back. I called the urgent care and spoke with Samantha this week who said she would have to speak with the office manager and call me back. After Samantha did not call me back, I called again today and spoke with Theresa (who I assume is the office manager according to other Google reviews). Theresa told me that the cpt code 99051 is billed after 5pm and said my appointment was at 5pm, I checked in at 5:03pm and they took me back to triage at 5:05pm. NO! I arrived at 4:30pm and I probably paid my copay at 5:03pm and they checked me in at the same time. I have no proof to show that I was there at 4:30pm (why would I do that when I can barely walk from my knee being hurt? I wouldn't think I would have to) I'll end up paying my bill, but please look at my photo which explains the procedure for billing a 99051.. I'll have to find a new urgent care to go to that does not wait for after hours to bring their patients back. read more

I had a really nice experience here. I came in around 8:30pm. That's when they take their last patient by the way which makes sense because it took about 20mins to fill out paperwork and to get checked out etc... I was in a lot of discomfort and wanted to get my script ASAP so they looked up pharmacies that were open until 9:30-10pm and were able to send me somewhere less than 5minutes from them. Would give this place a zero if I could. Went in because of a swollen lymph node, Dr looked at me for about 2 mins and told me it could be an infection or lymphoma which really scared me! I asked him if he thought I was okay and he just laughed at me and told me he couldn't give me an answer to that question. He proceeded to put me on antibiotics even though he couldn't pinpoint what was wrong... do yourself a favor and find a better urgent care for yourself and your family. This place is horrible!! Avoid going to this Urgent Care Clinic!! Appointment set for 1:30 PM, did not go in until 2:30 PM. Dingy old waiting room with no guest Wi-Fi. Doctor rushed in and out without giving any good information and no clear diagnosis at all. Doctor seemed very incompetent and only focused on getting people out, despite there not being many patients in there during the full 2 hours we were there. Overall, a horrible experience. If possible, spend the extra 6-10minutes and just go to the Berkley Urgent Care, it's worth the extra distance to get someone who actually cares about your medical issue. read more

After reading a couple good reviews, I decided to head here instead of the urgent care on 8 mile. I'm sorry I did. I was pretty sure I had a kidney infection and explained that to the doctor, along with my symptoms. He was convinced that I had a kidney infection too and wanted to prescribe me antibiotics immediately. He said it would be cheaper since I didn't have insurance. I'm weary of unnecessarily taking antibiotics, so I said I'd rather wait until I got test results back. He insisted that I should take the antibiotics and to be honest, I almost felt like I was being pressured into it. I declined and insisted on lab work first to which he agreed and said he would call me and follow up when the results were in. I got a call 2 days later from his secretary informing me that I didn't have an infection at all. So, I basically paid money to be misdiagnosed, pressured into buying antibiotics and then not even knowing what is wrong with me in the end. I do not recommend going here if you want sincere, efficient care. I will be going back to Urgent Care on 8 mile from now on. It's not as fancy, but the doctors make you feel like they care and follow up when they say they will. read more

I really wish I could give this place ZERO star. NOTE, This is my 3rd time come to this place since I live down the street. The first 2 time wasn't a great experience either. The doctor gave me the wrong medicine, The pharmacy actually had to correct him the next day ,but this time did it for me and had to warn everyone that is in Hazel Park or anyone that is planning to give this place a visit. I do not have insurance until for another 2 months. So every time anybody with no insurance visit this place will cost them $80. I went in today to get my refill for inflammation ( from acne/breakout) medicine. The so called Dr. Agha came in and doesn't even have my files in his hands. He just asked me what I'm coming in for. So I explained that I need refill and explained that I would need about 2-3 refill on the doxycycline mono-hydrate so it would last me until new year when Im able to purchase insurance again. Now this is my 3rd time coming here. Last two times , they gave me 3 refill and 5 refill. This time He asked me which pharmacy did I transfer to, so I told them Hazel park advance care. Then he was like, I only can give you 1 refill. They would only give you more refills if you use their knock off pharmacy. You pay full price and they give you generic brand! It happened to me thats why I switched pharmacy. I said " why only one?. " He replied with " Doxycycline is a very dangerous drugs ". Doxy the LESS harmful antibiotics that you can take for breakout/inflammation. Been taking it on and off for the last few months with no side effect. He didn't have a problem giving me 3x - 5x refill when I was using his knock off pharmacy but now he has a problem giving out more than 1 refill. I told him that it would cost me $80 each month just to get refill then. He said " You can go somewhere else then ". I couldn't even believe what I just heard! Clearly he doesn't care in your problem or your heath. I have been living in Hazel Park almost all my life and this is how they treat the people that support them. Shitty! Just went last week when I needed stitches they didn't give me stitches said they couldn't handle it. A nurse gave me my entire months worth on testosterone in one visit! I don't understand why she didn't read the dosage amount on the vile or the box the vial came in. Or even ask the patient or if she's dyslexic ask somebody else who knows how to read & dose. They are lucky it was a small vial and not a large one. The fat, old, white cold to the touch "nurse" did it! If you take insulin be sure they give you the correct dose, too much can kill you! read more

My son broke out in red bumpy itchy spots all over his body literally in a matter of 3hrs. It was 8:20pm and I wanted to get him the fastest care that I could. I found the closest urgent care Which was Hazel Park Urgent Care they were open until 9 and 2 minutes away I am well aware that we have a $25 copay which is why I asked the woman at the counter immediately if I could let her copy my husband's bank card and authorize the money to come out Thursday when he gets paid, I practically begged her told her that my five-year-old has broken out into some kind of crazy rash and needed to be seen. We have 5 kids and more often than not and have to live paycheck to paycheck. She said she had to ask her manager they let us sit there until 8:58 and then told us that we could come back Thursday!!!! My dad also lives very close and was willing to bring the money right away. Their response to that was "we're closed now". This is my first ever yelp review because I could not believe that actually happened. Was here a couple weeks ago for an ear infection. The wait was average for a walk-in, but not too thrilled with their lack of hygiene.

Terrible. Came in with pain in my lung, hard time breathing, and fever. The Dr barely looked at me and told me I had bronchitis. As I told him right when he came in that I've had bronchitis and this wasn't it. He ended up mocking me and giving me a rx for antibiotics. I called about 15 minutes after I left with a question and he had left for the night. They were open for another hour and the receptionist wouldn't have him call me. A few days later it felt like someone was stepping on my chest and was in tremendous pain. Went to Berkley urgent care and was immediately diagnosed with Pneumonia. Was also told had i waited any longer, i would have been sent to hospitsl. Berkley gave me a breathing treatment, steroids, and the correct RX. The rx HPUC gave me doesn't work with Pneumonia. Waste of $$, time, and a stupid ass, arrogant, douchlord of a Dr who must have got his degree in the Caribbean. read more

I went into Hazel Park Urgent Care to get a hip X-ray done because my hip had been bothering me and I wanted to see if my dysplasia was acting up. I loved that I didn't have to take an appointment. There weren't a ton of forms to fill out and I barely waited five minutes before I got called in. The MA took me in for the X-ray. She was competent and helpful. After the X-ray the doctor came in and talked with me about my medical past. He was courteous and caring and covered everything. He even asked me if I'd like to get the flu shot since I was there so I did. They have a pharmacy on-site too. The whole process didn't take more than 45 minutes from start to finish. I'll definitely be back again - hopefully won't need to anytime soon! All in all, a very good experience. read more

However, when I took my sick sons to this facility, the provider refused to see them unless I paid a $75 copay, even though my plans co-pay is only $35 for Urgent Care. This is not legal! They are a scam artist! I'm filing a complaint against them and you should steer clear of this horrible facility! read more

I had a great experience here! I sliced my ankle open in the shower and week and a half ago on Valentine's Day. I was sure I needed stitches but didn't want to wait the 3 hours to be seen at the ER. They took me back as soon as I got there. The staff was very sweet and Cathy, the PA did and excellent suture job! I was in and out within an hour! If you do not want to be pressured into taking unnecessary meds, get medical advise from the receptionist and be lied to, I suggest you avoid this place. Last week I came in because I was a bit worried I had an infection, the doctor wasnt there to take a look at me. I was taken care of by the assistant physician, which made me very nervous since she had to call the actual doctor and over the phone they some how came to conclusion that I need to go to the ER because I might have appendicitis. Which I dont, because like I told the "doctor" I was not in pain at the time. I agreed to do urynalysis test and the doctor decided to prescribe me antibiotics while I wait for the test to come back which she stated takes 2 days. Now thats when things get even more weird. I have a receptionist/medical biller come in to give me my presciptions. Without any directions, she simply says this might give you yest infection and after you can take the second set of pills. GREAT!! I tried asking her questions, but of course she didnt have the answers because she is not a doctor or nurse, which is why I am still puzzled why she was the one giving me the prescriptions. Note that at the time I was the only patient in the clinic, so there was absolutely no logical reason why the actual physician couldnt bring me the prescriptions and properly explain the side effects and how to take them. I waited 4 days and called to check if my results came in, the receptionist sais yes and blurted out what I had, but said the doctor will call me in 10 min to explain everything. Never got a call, I called again next morning and that same receptionist told me that they were simply busy and to keep taking medication and said that she thought the doctor told me that I had #### (what she blurted out the day before) .. NOPE no one told me anything, besides the receptionist who is NOT A DOCTOR and should not be giving medical advise.So if you are into being lied to and ignored this is your spot, just make sure you do not forget to bring the popcorn for the show. read more

Let me start off by saying that I've been to way better urgent care clinics than this one. I decided to go to one not too far from my house because of some scary and really itchy symptoms going on down below in my lady area. I get to the back and the woman doctor is very nice and pleasant but the whole entire time she was asking me what I felt like was wrong. After answering her questions and telling her that I really can't explain what's going on, I ask her to look at it. She was very hesitant then proceeded to just blurt out that I had Herpes Simplex 1. I started freaking out like "wait what?" So I then ask her to look again and this time she agreed. Instead of stepping out and giving me a cover up, I was pulling my pants down showing her with my shoes still on, she barely even took a look in the infected area. After my blood work she gives me a prescription for both Herpes AND a yeast infection(why both). 3 days go by and I get my results to find out that I DIDNT have herpes, I had to pay another $20 for a vaginal test that should've been done the first time. On top of that my second visit was even worse. I had to again make her look at the infected area and once again she did for 2 seconds. She began to tell me that she was going to test me for HIV o_O. The symptoms that I have, have absolutely NOTHING to do with AIDS OR HIV. I called just now to get my test results and the lady told me I would have to come in and get them then pay ANOTHER $20 to speak with that dumb doctor! so needless to say this was the worst place ever. read more
