Matt is an excellent instructor who clearly knows what he is doing, is a professional and is very patient (good for me, ha!). Even if you never decide to carry, his class teaches you some real good things on situational awareness that you can take away and use in your everyday life. Matt also has a firearms simulator where you can run drills that you would not be able to do on the range. All in all, I was pleased and am going to take a couple more classes with Matt to further my education.

One of the salesmen was assisting the customer with his firearm purchase. The other salesman was sitting behind the counter eating his lunch. He completely ignored me, despite me standing there with the pistol rugs in my hand and ready to pay. He never bothered to acknowledge my presence or ask if I needed help. I know that he saw me because he looked directly at me. When he finished eating he got up, threw his plastic fork in the trash and walked in the back while still never interacting with me. It was like I was completely invisible. Finally, another sales person came out from the back and asked if I was being helped. I said no, finally paid for my purchase, and left. I wonder what the store owner/manager would have to say if he reviewed the surveillance video.

Knowing nothing about conceal and carry steps, but recently having an interest, I ran across a…read moregreat Groupon deal and signed up for the 16-hour course. It was a little difficult to figure out how to use the Groupon on the website, but calling the agency a couple of times helped me resolve the issue. I registered for the two-day course online and the first day I arrived about 5 minutes before the session started. Larry, the first instructor, was kind to wait almost 20 minutes for everyone to arrive - but I would have preferred to start the class on time. The second instructor, Bill arrived later and brought all of the energy and entertainment. The instructors seemed to complement each other and both were very positive, patient and knowledgeable. My favorite part of day 1 was the simulation activity. I would have preferred fewer and shorter breaks to allow more time for additional simulation time. Day 2 started at the Eagle Sports Range to qualify for the Concealed Carry License (CCL). While the Groupon for the course was a great deal (I paid $18), they make up the low price of the class by having a long laundry list of potential expenses (e.g., renting firearm equipment, CCL application assistance, fingerprinting, etc.). Although they send an email prior to class with the list of expenses, it would be more helpful if the itemized costs were listed on their website. When you go to the website, flat fees are listed, but the Groupon does not include most of those fees. From talking to a friend about their experience with a different agency, their course offered a flat $150 fee that covered everything - which I would prefer. So if they are going to offer a Groupon, I'd prefer they include all the costs upfront. I also don't care for the extra 3% fee for using a credit card. Overall though, it was a great learning experience for me as a novice and I'd recommend it

I've been going to this range since the month they opened their doors, and I happily keep going back! This is the epitome of what a "clean range" should be. It has the best HEPA filters in the ranges and it never smells of powder. The employees are all so very nice and helpful, usually with a does of comedic relief. Shooting there is like going to a friend's home to shoot. They make all their customers feel welcomed, rather than some ranges (on Rt 30?) where everyone seems to have an attitude of being better than you and that you're inconveniencing them at their place of work. NOT HERE - YOU ARE ALWAYS MADE TO FEEL WELCOMED AND APPRECIATED AS A CUSTOMER! ALWAYS! While I've been shooting for over 50 years, I recently took a private lesson from Mark Longo to break a bad habit of (like many!) anticipating the shot and shooting low-left. WHAT AN AMAZING INSTRUCTOR! Mark was able to zero in on several bad habits I had developed over the years, and taught me how to correct them as well as practicing drills to continue to fix and internalize them at home. I was always a "decent" shot, but in only one lesson I absolutely improved. I will be joining their club as Mark Longo got me excited to shoot again, because of the progress I immediately noticed.
