I hate writing bad reviews, but I haven't experienced anything like this before. HD audio is the most unprofessional business I have ever delt with. Thats really saying something because I was a prime contractor for the government for over 30 years and have delt with hundred of thousand of small businesses. My first contact was for a diagnostic to be performed on my stereo. The tech was informative and professional. He temp fixed my problem and that stopped working before I left their property. I dont fault them for that it was afterall a bandaid until they could schedule me for an appointment. They got me in a week later. I dropped the vehicle off and came back two hours later and they had never touched it. I asked for my money back and in doing so I may have used the word (Bullshit) in front of the young lady working the front desk. One of the tech was listening from the back (coward) and came out hostel as hell. He was using my use of language as a smokescreen to cover up there completed ineptitude. I was not that out of line. That tech has no business dealing with the public. He is a huge guy who uses his size to bully people. I felt completely threaten maybe because I have been in a wheelchair now for over ten years. In my younger years I would of taken a swing. (I probably would have got my but kicked but I don't let any man disrespect me). To their credit they did refund me my money. I recently started having problems with my factory speakers. I have known Heath for quite some time and have kept an eye on the work him and his team does so I asked him for his personal reccomendation. I got some speakers sent to me here in Phoenix from him and I have to say the difference is quite amazing. don't take your stuff here... I've had 2 12" kickers with a 600watt kicker amp for the past year no problems. It went out so I took it to these guys they said I had a ground wire issue and my amp was going into safety mode due to it not being powerful enough. They said my only solution was to buy a new stronger amp... lol I'm not that stupid now come on... the ground was perfectly fine and it was a burnt fuse and an issue with rca cables. I was told some utter bs so I would spend a bunch of money just to end up with the same issue. is it not just easier to be honest with someone instead of feeding them so bs? read more

Only gave a 1 star cause I had too.Far as car audio goes they have no clue what they are doing.I took my truck to there location 30mins away. Brand new expensive 2 ohm subs in box still. Brand new expensive 2 ohm amp still in box. Brand new speaker box and a capacitor brand new told them I wanted it all hooked up.I go back to pick it up they didn't wire the capacitor up and they wired the system up 4 ohm so 10 mins down the road the amp went into safety mode. Went back next day they rewired it and told me I should have bought a 4 ohm amp for my 2 ohm subs. So obviously they have no clue. I make it another 10mins down the road and my radio quits working all together.This is no cheap set up 400.00 amp, 425.00 subs nice box and expensive deck. Just wanted this out there so people know the knowledge of these people is extremely bad in there line of work. So save yourselves time and money and go elsewhere also with this being said was charged 280.00 for this wiring job. Which is same set up I had in my previous truck but all new again. The previous set up was done at Best Buy for 150.00 with no issues. I kick myself for not going back to Best Buy. Was trying to support a local business not big box store this go around and it screwed me. However if you like being overcharged and idiots working on your stuff this is the place to go.Also it still overheats after 15mins and drove down there twice which is a 2 hrs total in driving.So gonna take it to Best Buy and have them fix whatever these people can't read more

BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!! PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS------So 3 weeks ago I got a sound system priced out by hd audio. I ended up going to a couple other audio places to get a better price. Finally we agreed on a price for all new door speakers (Memphis audio), a Memphis audio 12" sub with a CUSTOM BOX that they said they would make, 2 amps (Memphis audio) one for the speakers and one for the sub. So on Monday I went ahead and set an apt to get everything done on Thursday. I go back Tuesday and give a deposit and ask them if all my parts are in stock?, they told me "yes everything is in our store we will see you Thursday". So Thursday comes around and I drop my car off at 8:52 a.m before I headed to work. I call them at 11:30 a.m just to see what time my car will be done and they said "your car is here?". One of the workers moved my car to the side of the building and forgot it was there. I then get a call 2 min later from the owners brother calling me saying, "I'm sorry but we sold the amp we were going to use in your car. So you have 2 options either we can put a db drive amp which is $200 extra or you can wait till Monday to get everything done". I then said I had an apt I left a deposit you said all my parts are stock why is this happening. At this point this is when he starts being rude to me on the phone and very argumentative. So I said just put them amp in I just want my car finished. I call them again at closing time 6:00 p.m to ask them is my car almost finished. They told me they got tied up with WALK INS so at the latest it will be done at 8:00 p.m. So I went out with my buddy and got dropped off at hd audio at 8:30 thinking everything would be done and I would be a happy customer. I WAITED AT THEIR STORE TILL 12:30 AT NIGHT!!!!!!! and the system sounded like straight shit. The next day I took it back on Friday and again they had it all day. I get a call saying your car is ready, so I go and pick it up and NOW NOTHING WORKS NO SOUND OR ANYTHING. They told me I'm going to have to get a double din radio (WHICH IS NOT TRUE) that's going to cost me another $600-$800. At this point I'm pretty mad so the next day I go in the store and talk to Heath the owner I sat my phone down on the counter to record the conversation just in case they said they wouldn't fix it and I had to get a lawyer. Well somehow he found out I was recording took my phone from me and deleted the recording without my consent or permission. I then get surrounded by all the employees and one of them the guy with dreads told me " I will tie you up let my pitbull eat you and then throw you in the river". I then go get my people for backup because at this point I felt intimidated, the situation was diffused and they said they would fix my car. So I drop my car off for the 3rd time, they had it for the whole day 7 hours. I pick it up and it sounds okay but not like it should. Sunday comes around and now the sub is completely blown. At this point I feel defeated so I drop it off again Monday for the 4th time now. Again they had it all day Monday I pick it up and now you can hear static when the volume is at 0 they never took my stock sub out like I asked them to so that was raddling like hell due to it being blown and also distortion in every speaker in the car also the bass knob did not work either. Also my custom box was never even started on so Ive had enough at this point I ask for a refund and at the least my money back for the labor which was $350 they said no we will fix your car. Long story short I had to take my car back another three times. IN TOTAL 7 TIMES THEY HAD MY CAR ALL DAY AND MY CAR STILL SOUNDS DISTORDED AND MY SPEAKERS CUT OUT MAYBE 12 TIMES A DAY AND THEN CUT BACK ON. 2 PANELS IN MY CAR HAVE TEARS IN THEM THAT WERENT THEIR BEFORE MY CLOTH HEADLINER HAS BLACK FINGERPRINTS ALL OVER. THIS BUSINESS HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER WITNESSED!
