We have been going to HD eyecare for 2 years now. The doctor there is great and so is her staff. She has worked with us on getting contacts when I forget to order them, always helping us have what we need so my daughters' have the ability to see even when mommy forgets to order them before they run out. Even if this place was an hour away, I would still bring my entire family here because they always take such great care of their patients and they truly care about you beyond just your eye sight! read more

So unprofessional! I went in recently on Monday (4/24), and she was so racist. Went in to just get my vision checked to get a prescription for my glasses and she proceeded ask me who my last doctor was and if they were white, black, or asian. Why does that even matter a doctor is a doctor! She proceeded to tell me that there was something wrong with my vision but couldn't figure it out and she wanted to know what my past doctor said about it. If your a competent doctor then why are you saying my past doctor was wrong after I did a 4 hour eye screening and why are u struggling find out whats wrong with my vision after I explained exactly what my past doctor said? Not only that after I told her the details, the doctor started pushing me to tell her more about what my past doctor said after I told her everything already as if there was some secret I was hiding! I had already told her everything my last doctor had told me what more do you need? Then she proceeded to blame me, saying I should have brought someone with me to my appointments to "translate" if I didn't understand what they were saying. I have lived here since I was 18 and I speak English perfectly fine, but she proceeded to mockingly speak as if my I didn't know any English and couldn't understand her. The rotten cherry on top was her mentioning that I should go buy glasses from Walmart rather than from her place because it would be too expensive for me! This was the first time meeting her how and why would she even assume this!? So unprofessional and rude! My daughter had an appointment with them but I immediately canceled it for her in fear they would treat her the way they treated me. If this is how they treat their patients I'll just go back to my other doctor even though she charges more I would rather stay with someone who isn't so blatantly racists and more competent and professional. Dr. Doan and her staff made the dreadful eye exam and finding the right pair of glasses a pleasant experience. Like many others, I put off getting my eye exam for several years. I'm just like any other guy that wants to get in and out without having to waste too much time. They asked what I was looking for in a pair of glasses (function, comfort, fit, nothing too fancy or fragile) and came up with the perfect solution within a few minutes. I also really like how Dr. Doan personally interacts with each client and shows genuine sincerity when dealing each person. They also get extra bonus points for supporting military/law enforcement with discounts. Bottom line, I have recommended friends/family and will probably be a lifetime customer. read more

I've had two eye exams (one just after their grand opening and the second just a few weeks ago). The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. There's a great selection of unique and affordable eyewear. Very easy to find on 377, great parking, and love the layout inside. read more

It was my first visit with an appointment to see Dr. Doan. I have to say it is beautiful office. The staff were really courteous and I got a call to remind me of my appointment the day before. When I got to seen the doctor she was very thorough and knowledgeable and help me understand everything she explained to me. She took her time and I didn't feel like she was rushing me and moving on to the next client. That's definitely something I've always felt with other doctors. She has all the bells and whistles as far as equipment goes. It definitely felt like I went through the wringer in a good way and got a good thorough eye exam and in my particular case a baselin glaucoma exam. Definitely feel comfortable with her taking care of my eyes from here on out. I can definitely recommend this place to my family. read more

I HIGHLY recommend HD Eyecare! My mother and I recently visited HD Eyecare to have our annual eye checkup. We are very impressed with the beautiful new place. There is a large selection of eyeglasses for us to pick from. From Ray Ban to Kate Spade to Ferragamo, HD Eyecare had it all. Dixie, the optician, was very knowledgeable about the different brands, frames and fit. She helped my mother and I find frames that we loved! Dr. Doan, the optometrist, was very thorough with the eye exams. She carefully explained to us the changes in our vision, risks, signs and symptoms, and long term effects. My mother speaks limited English and it's even harder for her to understand medical terms. Dr. Doan patiently communicated the information to my mother using lay terms and images from the internet. Dr. Doan and Dixie are very professional and made sure we were happy with the service and frames! read more

My experience here was amazing! The staff was very nice and even took time out of their busy schedule to help pick out my frames. They made sure the frames complimented the shape of my face. That was nice because the last place I went to didn't seem to care. I don't know why this place is still even open. When you call ahead to see if they take your insurance they say they do. But then turn around and don't even use it and not tell you that they don't on a particular exam. You must disclose that to your patients but instead you basically rob them. Horrible place and will never go back. read more

I have worn glasses / contacts for over 20 years and my 1st visit to HD Eyecare was by FAR THEEEE BEST experience in those 20 years with an eyecare professional. It surpassed most customer service experiences elsewhere. Staff was very friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in and ensuring my HSA card would be accepted. Dr. Doan took the time to educate and explain my options to me regarding contacts and condition of my eyes. They were super friendly and helpful when selecting frames. There is a great selection of frames because I require bigger frames. They made sure the color and size of frames complimented my face. Absolutely AWESOME service! read more
