If you want a place where you'll feel welcome and at home then this is the only Ortho you should consider.

First, this is a newer orthodontist. It will take some time before reviews of the work truly evolve. As a fledgling business it will take some time to establish the skill and value of the work - that can just not be determined now. Yes, some patients have finished their treatment period, but personally my child's has been longer than expected. This orthodontist gives up easily and blame is easy to fly. The reviews about staff being too false in personality I tend to agree with. There is just not a true genuine manner about Dr. Desh or several of the staff. Too smiley, too pumped, it just isn't real. It is a feeling you get, and only those who have experienced that may truly understand what my meaning is. This orthodontist gives up on you or your child easily. This is unacceptable, its rude, its unprofessional and I do not accept this type of behavior from someone I've handed over thousands of dollars to (in addition to using my lifetime benefits for orthodontic treatment for). I went to this orthodontist for a consultation with a young child. My child and I were ushered into the financial office immediately after and plans for treatment were commenced immediately. I had hoped to learn WHEN it would be recommended to start treatment, not that very day necessarily, especially considering there were still baby molars involved - 4 or more of them. What I have learned through this treatment is that it has extended treatment (to wait for them to come out), thereby extending cost. Brackets you see cannot be attached to baby teeth, what's the point? Oh what I have learned now, if only I had known then. They have no patience for their youngest clients which they've pushed into treatment...children who are unprepared to deal with wax (and not swallow it) for the wires cutting their mouths, the difficulty of applying the rubber bands 3 x a day without a mirror, at school when it can take then 20 minutes to get the damn thing on after eating, let alone the morning rush. Guess what? They can't do this at school...you don't have 20 minutes in front of a mirror. Treatment was over $5k for what was billed as a simple case, yet now with no likelihood of refund of unused monies we are being told they are going to stop. NO. YOU were the one who pushed this child in, you finish it. Yes, I've vented a little and in all honestly, I do want this business to be successful, to serve their clients well, and this orthodontist and her staff have a lot to learn and some adjustments to be made. They can make changes and they can get better, and I really hope they do. I do not want our experience to be others experiences. I do not want to sink or harm her business, but I do want this review to be noticed, changes to be made and customers to be served as they deserve. She has had enough time to build a solid business, now start working to make it a valuable one to your customers. If you do make the attempt, make sure that you are prepared for what comes after the smiles, the inclusiveness. You will feel at first like you have found Utopia, but later you may experience something far different. Most importantly, if you have a child on the younger side, get a second opinion. Starting treatment early is not necessarily a good idea, and don't fall for the "you could be out of braces before middle school!" See a reputable orthodontist with more experience before you make this jump. Also, calls to the orthodontist are heavily screened after hours, and lord forbid you disturb her on her off time. After seeing the ratings I decided to call for a conulstation. My first impression of them was awful. The receptionist who answered the phone seemed polite, but that was fake once she interrupted me than placed me on hold. Another woman picked up, whom I believe is the one in charge of billing as the Dr. was on maternity leave. She too had fake kindness as she was asking me what my concerns were she too interrupted me midsentence and placed me on hold for over 4 minutes. And she did not apologize when coming back on the line rather acted like it was no problem. Kind, concerned employees don't interrupt, cut off, or put someone on hold without consent. Overall, I am more concerned with the actual Dr. who will be treating me not the other office employees who obviously don't put the patient/prospective patient first. read more

I loved this Orthodontics office! This will be my second time getting braces because sadly I lost my retainer. I did not come here my first time (2013), if I could go back in time I definitely would of come here to get them done. I had an amazing experience, the office is so clean and everyone was so sweet. We love HD Orthodontics, after several consultations the choice was easy. Doctor Desh and her amazing team were the right choice for my 11 year old son. The entire team is professional and makes you feel like family. The pricing was competitive to other orthodontists in the area with better in house service and needed X-rays included in your free consultation. Other places wanted to charge me $300.00 to 400.00 for the same X-rays. My son is a nervous kid and he loves seeing the Desh team every month. We started treatment here in November 2016, we have great insurance, but before treatment starts here a deposit is mandatory in the amount of $300 dollars out of pocket. The braces are great. But the "in your face" loan shark tactic is over the top. After paying the deposit of the copay, we decline to put our credit card on file. What kind of place like this puts a credit card on file? they do. So we said we would pay the rest off in payments, then on Christmas Eve, we get a call from them stating we were late on our payment, yeah maybe not even a half a day yet. Then I call for an appointment a couple of weeks later, the first thing they throw in my face how we owe them money. Not to mention what we owe is peanuts compared to what's been collected from the insurance. We decided to pay off the entire amount at the appointment, where we were greeted with how we owe them money. OMG. Really? we're square now, but don't let these guys fool you with fake courtesies, it's all about money at this place. read more
