I have been going to this dentist a number of years. Yesterday I called the office about 4:15 pm to make an appointment. I was put on hold. I was on hold about 20 minuets so decided to try calling again. THE OFFICE WAS CLOSED. This is the kind of caring you get from that office. When they left a message the next day they did not even apologize for leaving me on hold when they left the office. I recommend you do not use this dentist. read more

I had a crown that was put on 1 year, 2 weeks ago. It shouldn't have come off, it fell off while brushing my teeth after breakfast, also it was on a Saturday, of course. I would like to share some important information, once a crown falls off, the tooth starts to move forward, so it is paramount that it be addressed right away. Luckily I got in on Monday afternoon. I explained the tech was servicing two rooms when the permanent crown was put on and was rushed and did not perform a correct mixing of the compound. I was told by the dentist that put the crown back on there would be no charge. As I was leaving a clerk said I owed them $162, so I paid it. But I will not go back to this office again, the tech is incompetent and I should not have to pay for her mistake. read more

I was new to the office but happily I found my Dentist Dr Trombatore. He previously practiced at another office called All Smiles Dental. I'm all smiles now! Now that I located my honest and caring Dr. he is the best. The Dental team was very kind and cheerful. I'm happy to belong to this dental practice. Happy Day! Happy Day! read more

The fillings on my two front teeth popped out last night. I made it to the office by 7:30 this morning and they had me out by 9:30 am with the two fillings done and an extra cavity taken care of. I really appreciate Dr. Bonnie and her assistant Mimi. They were super cool, professional and they didn't try to sell me services I didn't need. I would highly recommend them. I used to go to small mom and pop office in South Gate, but they were bought off by Bright Now Dental. Since then, I always felt like they were always trying to sell me services I didn't need. Not to mention their horrible customer service. Los Altos Dental is my dentist from now on. I'm sold on them. read more

Going to the dentist is never particularly enjoyable, but it's far less awful here than some other places I've been. They're usually mostly on time, never try to hurry you in and out quicker than they should, try not to cause unnecessary pain, are nice to interact with, never had any problems with them billing me incorrectly, etc read more

New to this office. I followed my favorite dentist of all times, Dr. Trombatore, to this office. I walked in to a lovely "vibe". Not overly fancy but clean and a pleasing aesthetic. I am extremely happy with my Dentist, Dental Assistant and the entire staff at Los Altos Dental. They are friendly and explain all procedures and treatments, as well as finances and insurance billing. The equipment is modern, but the prices are still reasonable and I don't feel that I'm being sold anything unnecessarily (rare these days). After a particular negative experience at a dentist in Bixby Knolls I was hesitant to try a new dentist. Los Altos Dental blew me away and continues to do so at every visit! My first appointment was back in 2014 and I came in for a deep cleaning and a fill. I chose this place based on location and by the reviews on Yelp. Dr. Bateman was my doctor and she was helpful. I chose her primarily because she does help the Cambodian community and i think that is wonderful. My first issue is with the front desk. They constantly gave me grief about my return in 2016 from my first appointment in 2014. I have been having personal issues with my health and was unable to return to get my second deep cleaning, but they kept badgering me about not coming back until 2016. I work in customer service and I like to treat people, especially patients, with respect and a smile on my face, but I rarely get that there. I don't think I would be returning. Second issue, during my first appointment with Dr. Bateman, she accidentally glued my teeth together during the filling and she kept repeating that that has never happened to her, but with my luck, I was the winner. All in all, it was okay. I've definitely had a better experience. I just thought with such a raving review that I would've received better service, but I was disappointed. read more

I've been doing to Los Altos for a few years now and have to say what a good Dental office this is. Dr. Coriaty did some extensive work on a tooth last year. Many Drs may have extended the work over 2 visits but she took the time and effort to get it done in one sitting. Had my cleaning today and I know my dental care is good hands with Dr. Coriaty. I am a long time client of Los Altos Dental and always have been super happy with the care and people. Drs. Bateman And Coriarty and their Team are exceptional. I have referred my entire family there. This past Easter Sunday, my 87 year old father in law was over for dinner. He got a phone call from someone midday, I was sure it was a spam call. Turned out is was Dr. Bateman checking in on a major dental procedure he had done 48 hours prior. She told him she always calls after that time frame to check in on pain levels. Even though she wasn't even the dentist in her office who did the procedure. I was blown away she took the time on a Sunday but it didn't really surprise me. You keep being you Dr. B. I needed to find my son a new dentist. I searched through my insurance's list of dentists and happened upon Los Altos Dental. I am so glad I did. Unlike me, my son is not afraid of the dentist, but because of my own childhood dental nightmares, I am always cautious about how he feels about his experience. His first check-up/cleaning was good. He liked the dentist and he was not afraid when he found out he needed to come back for a few fillings. His second appointment went well (in and out in 45 minutes). He got his fillings like a champ, and walked out feeling positive. I love the fact that they have 7:30 AM appointments. The office is clean. The staff is friendly. So far - so good. I was so happy about my son's visits, I went in for my own check up (uhhhh, I'm gonna need some work). I've got my issues, but I'm going to put my big girl pants on and go back next month. This was my first time at this particular dental office because I followed my long time dentist, Dr. Trombatore. There is NO dentist, and I have seen a few over the years due to insurance purposes, like Dr Trombatore. He is rare. I have been seeing him since I was 5 years old and I am turning 40 soon. It has been a while since I have been to the dentist, and one of my fillings came out. I was worried and nervous because I could feel the hole, and my tooth was so sensitive. Thankfully, I found the only dentist I have ever trusted wholeheartedly who has always taken great care of my teeth when I needed it. He is kind, honest, trustworthy, comforting and just all around amazing! Once you are treated by him you will never go anywhere else. Oh, and the new office is beyond lovely!!! Had several procedures done at this office. The most recent one the crown was the wrong size. To fix it, they decided to drill on my real tooth instead of the crown. I could not believe this and kept stopping her to understand why. She said the crown was the too big and it needed space to fit in, the dental assistant had said they outsource their crowns and they were made wrong all the time. I would have appreciated them putting the temporary back in and re-doing the crown. Then when it came to billing they billed way more than I was told it would cost based on my insurance. Tried talking to the billing person Nina and she was not understanding. Asked for a call back from the owner on multiple occasions with no response. read more

I was new in town and in search of a new dental office, so I went to Los Altos Dental. To begin, the front office mixed-up the scheduling of my initial appointment and I had taken time off work to attend this appointment i though was taking place. When I finally did have my initial visit a few weeks later, I received a sloppy teeth cleaning, the dentist was in hurry to pick up someone at 11:30am so she hardly had time to answer my questions and extra unnecessary costly Xrays were taken. Also, Mimi the head reception person micromanaged the whole visit, she would tell the dentist, staff and me what to do and she seemed pushy and bossy. When it came time for my next appointment cost estimate, I had to write all the figures down on the back of a business card, because Mimi couldn't be bothered to print out an estimate for me of the work to be completed. Lastly, on two occasions Mimi called me Jose and someother Spanish name when those are clearly not my name, not sure if that was intentional or not; I ended up canceling my future appointments and found another dental office that is professional and efficient. read more

Their referrals and communications with these other dentist were instrumental In us being able to find a solution to a very complicated treatment and successful treatment plan. I have severe anxiety when it comes to getting dental work done. The Doctors and staff at this office have totally fixed that problem. They were all amazingly kind and understanding of my fears and put me totally at ease. They are gentle and friendly and I would refer any and everyone to their office. Very disappointed in the customer service and billing process. After going over all of our treatment options, my wife and I each made decisions based on our insurance coverage. We relied on the dentist to let us know what was covered and the cost and we were very detailed in the questions we asked. Months after the work was completed and all payments agreed upon were made in full, we received another bill in the mail for several hundred dollars. When I called to inquire about the bill, they informed us that we owed this balance and that their initial quotes based on insurance were inaccurate. When I went in to speak with someone in the office at 3:30pm, they said no one was available. The office receptionist Mimi laughed at me when I asked to speak to someone else. There was NO compassion whatsoever! When I asked for a call back, they were non responsive. I live close by and was really hoping to find a long term dentist. At this point I would be very careful of dealing with this office! UPDATE: 6 days later and still no call back! Shocking how poor the customer service is. read more
