At first I was weary of this salon... the nonchalant website and the uncertainty I got in pricing when I called the day if my appt set the tone for my perspective of this place (which knocked it down a star - for their unprofessionalism) It is very new age inside and clean, but there weren't many customers there for a Friday. The use Paul Mitchell products and advertise a full service salon. I explained how I wanted my hair cut and my stylist (Tavi - short blond hair) seemed very apprehensive the whole time, I was worried about her cutting my hair right (it's so hard to find someone I actually like that doesn't mess up my loose curly hair) and when I left was a little dissatisfied with the length. Well, it took me a whole day after washing and styling it myself that yes she actually did a great job and my hair looks very nice and clean albeit much shorter that what I wanted (everyone else thinks it looks perfect) I also wish she boasted a little more confidence while doing my hair. It's a very calm place and I would like to see how their spa treatments are. Very affordable if u just get a haircut ($20) without a wash and set. Just don't expect anything spectacular read more

I love this place and would recommend it to anyone. Pleasant staff, knowledgeable stylists with great creative instincts and recommendations. I have short hair and wanted a piecey, edgy look. Not only did my hair come out spectacular, I was also upgraded to a much needed conditioning treatment. I'm an avid surfer and kayaker and the education they gave me on clarifying shampoos and conditioners was unparalleled. I say this because my hair feels free, healthy and clean. Who knew salt water could have such amazing healing properties yet leave so much gunk in your hair. Thank you ladies! I will be back. read more

If I could give this place a negative 1 star I would. Do not go to this salon, trust me! It's the weirdest salon I have ever been in. I felt like I was having a nightmare version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when they were giving me a tour of their rooms. Bizarre and tacky decor. The staff did not seem knowledgeable about simple questions. As professionals they should at least be able to answer questions and NOT seem timid or unsure with their responses. I never even got my hair done because they had me sitting in one of these crazy rooms over an hour!! My gut instinct told me to leave and that's exactly what I did--I ran to my car, haha. Go anywhere else, seriously. What a huge waste of time for me and a lesson learned. I normally swear by reviews but this was a last minute choice and I didn't do my research. I went to He Said She Said after buying a Groupon for a Gel Manicure online. I was a little nervous since the salon did not have good reviews online. However, I wanted to give it a shot. I arrived late and flustered to my appointment (new to the city and got completely lost) which I was extremely embarrassed about. I had an evening appointment and I was the only one in the salon - I could tell that I was holding up the stylist who was working. However, my nail technician Jolie was polite about the whole thing and didn't make me feel bad or rushed in any way. She still took the time before my nail appointment to give me a tour of the salon and sit down in the relaxation room and have a consultation before my manicure. The salon is new, stylish and clean. My gel manicure was fantastic! I get gel manicures quite often and I've been to multiple salons to have them done. He Said She Said uses OPI Gel Nail polish and has the new OPI light boxes (which I think are the best). Jolie took her time with the manicure and did an excellent job - talk about attention to detail! She was also friendly and polite throughout the manicure. I'm not a big one for chit chat during salon services and Jolie was able to carry on a conversation with me without making me feel as though I had to talk the entire time. I would certainly go back to He Said She Said for another manicure in the future. I might even try them out for other services as well. read more

We arrived at the salon for 4 of us to get mani=pedis. I think it would have been wise for the person taking the appointment over the phone to let us know they have only one of each station- which meant we were there for hours!! Made it a bit stressful for part of the party that had places to be! I paid $35 for a gel manicure- which is $5-10 above the normal. There was no soaking of my fingers, no trimming of cuticles (only pushed back) and no hand massage. I thought those things were standard at a salon manicure? My manicure was not done very neatly- I was wondering if the lady doing it needed glasses? She didn't paint under the nail tips that is usually done with gel so they already look 2 weeks old. And, after only 2 days I already have 2 chips. We were wishing we went someone else for our pre wedding salon day. I probably would have complained while we were there but I wanted my friend to have the best day she could. read more
