They had cleaned out his cubby, apparently. I got him home, realized he was sick and found he had a fever. They were so incredibly neglectful. I never took him back. Side note, some parents really love Haven. I think if you fit in their mold then you might have a good experience. But they aren't great with kids that are different. I had a local psychologist that worked with the school occasionally tell me to get my kid out because it was like the Stepford Wives in there. Be careful if you choose this school.

They really take the time to get to know your child and your family. Which I appreciated very much. Academically, I couldn't be happier. My daughter learned how to read, write, math (addition, multiplications, subtraction and even division!). They also have NAU professors come and teach the children about insects, bones, the weather... they also expose the children to essential practical life skills. They also learn about geography, different cultures around the world and their traditions. Fun field trips. Cooking lessons. This was the perfect start to my daughter's journey in education. I highly recommend it! We will miss this school.

They're rambunctious, receive special services, and are fully supported by Pine Forest's nurturing environment. I've seen some reviews mention that Pine Forest's curriculum isn't as competitive as other public schools, but I completely disagree. Pine Forest follows the same Arizona state standards as every other public school. The difference lies in how those lessons are taught--through developmentally appropriate, hands-on experiences that help children truly understand what they're learning. Waldorf education is deeply connected to nature and largely screen-free. I have a master's degree in educational technology and I love this balance. Waldorf's emphasis on creativity and curiosity builds the essential foundations for success in technology and beyond. Children at Pine Forest aren't falling behind because of less screen time; they're developing the focus, imagination, and problem-solving skills needed to use technology responsibly and meaningfully when the time is right.

I took my toddlers to FG's Open Gym on a recent Friday…read more.. It was a fun activity and only $10 for both of them. Such a deal and great for them to get out a ton of energy! Open Gym takes place on Fridays from 10am - 11:30am. It's open for children aged 1 - 5, and it's great, but there is no supervision or instruction... Luckily, my mother-in-law was with me, so we could always have a 1:1 adult to kid ratio. When we were there, the doors were left open, so toddlers could just wander right into the parking lot behind the facility if they weren't being closely watched. The facility has both an indoor area and outdoor area. Indoors, there is a bounce house, a foam pit, a ton of mats, toys, balls, hoola hoops, balance beams, bars, etc... Outdoors is a small fenced in playground with some fun slides, structures, etc... that my kids didn't want to leave. Of course, there is also a bathroom, but I was surprised that it lacked a changing table... I had to lay my daughter on the floor to change her diaper. Not a big deal, but a changing table would have been nice. FG also offers up a small variety of snacks for sale. We didn't purchase any though, since we headed to lunch after we left. If I were in Flagstaff for longer, I'd take a look at some of the classes / camps that FG offers, but open gym is a nice option to mix things up if you're visiting (and have active adults to supervise).

As it was their first time, they started out very timid, the course took them about an hour the first time through and a lot of coaxing and reassuring, the second and third time through the kids course was done with more confidence and faster with each run. I can't wait to go back and do the adult course and my child keeps saying they can't wait to turn 12 to go up to the top of the trees! We'll definitely be back again, such a fun experience! :-)

I have kept my mare at this facility for well over a year and she has had a few health issues unrelated to her care. Through all the problems, Julie and Michelle were most supportive and went out of their way to stay extra hours make extra barn checks and help me in any way possible. They work diligently to improve every facet of care and upkeep at this wonderful facility. I have watched their riders and horses of all ages improve in every way consistently and with much success. By enforcing professionally recommended vaccination protocols I knew my mare would not be exposed to non-vaccinated horses. It doesn't make you popular but it certainly speaks to a professional, high standard of care. Whether you need a seasonal boarding situation and/or coaching at any level in any discipline this barn has a program flexible enough to fulfill your needs. I will always make this facility my first choice for my horses care.

This event was planned months in advance and within three weeks of the event, they would not honor their signed contract. It was the most unprofessional and unethical act that I've ever heard of by a horse facility. In all my years of being involved in horse events in AZ (30+ years), I have NEVER heard of a requirement for in state horses to have a health certificate and vaccination records to attend an arena event! A legal contract must state all requirements ESPECIALLY ones that are not equine industry standard practices. To say it's their policy three weeks prior to the event does not make it right. And to say it's the responsibility of the organizer to ask questions so they know their policies is ridiculous. Nichole B.'s information is accurate. Signed contracts mean nothing to this facility. Julie G. states she tried speaking directly to participants and/or their veterinarians, but the organizer would not release our information. I'm glad that the organizer did not release our information. A signed contract is between the organizer of the event and the facility. Honor the signed contract! Don't try to give lame excuses to the participants as to why you decided not to do so. This facility nearly ruined what turned out to be a great clinic elsewhere with their unprofessional practices. I would strongly caution any group planning an event at this facility. Their unwritten policies do not override a signed contract, yet that's exactly was happened.
