My first time at head of the class I did the SAT prep class, which helped raise my score 200 points. Head of the Class helped me throughout the college application process and the essays that came in hand. With their help I am now at Ohio State with a scholarship that covers all my tuition, and I came back for help with my nursing school essays. Look no further - this place is the best! We had visited other academic centers, however this center was highly recommended to us by others that had family members that had success there. They work with you to fit sessions into your busy schedule, and the staff and tutors are very knowledgeable of the ACT and college processes, and they are simply amazing! My daughter attended the academic center for various purposes: to prep and help her improve her ACT scores, they also provided individual tutoring sessions, and they also assisted her with her college application process (which also included her essays, and resume). My daughter greatly improved her ACT scores and because of that, new doors have been opened for her. Thank you Head of the Class Academic Center - we are forever grateful! read more

I came to Head of the Class for help on my college applications and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I am beyond grateful for all the one-on-one help Lynn has given me through the whole college process. Because of all her help, I was able to attain a $31,000 scholarship at a private liberal arts college! Whether it comes to college applications or standardized tests, the staff at Head of the Class truly cares about each of their students. I had been to a few other college prep centers in the area, but I was unsatisfied with the results as I was not getting the individual attention I was quite looking for; however, I highly recommend Head of the Class to any student who needs help with the college process because they do such an excellent job guiding their students every step of the way while ensuring success. Head of the Class has allowed me to achieve my academic goals and attend the college of my dreams. Hannah and Lynn are amazing instructors. She has the paper that says she passed ut nothing can moe forward without Pearson Vue sending the reuquired documentation to the state. What a mess of a facility!

On February 20th I took my Licensed Master Social Worker exam, and passed!…read more The location was very convenient. I ate at Bacon's Bistro right down the street before the test (great choice). I could see the building from my table. When you go in the big building, you head to the elevator. The exam room is room 403, so head to the 4th floor. When you get in you tell the receptionist what test you will be taking. She asks you to read the rules and return. When you do she takes the required documents. This was my first jam up... The email I got from them after registering stated that a student ID was acceptable. She would not accept my UTA ID. Later, I discovered that it was because they only take student IDs that require/have a signature. She just said "no" when I handed to to her, with no clarification. However, your secondary ID can be a signed credit card (wtf?), and if it isn't signed they will hand you a marker. They also accept your Social Security Card if you have signed it. She will ask you to place your palm on a scanning device that takes a couple of seconds. Then she will direct you to the testing area. If you have anything at all - cell phone, secodary ID, papers - you will place it in a locker and take a key. I just left my cell phone in my locked car. The proctor was the worst. She certainly hated her job and directed me as if she were the police. Additionally, when it came to testing rules, she referred me to a sign on the wall with 3 sentences on it. She had me scan my palm again, verify my test and my photo. She then led me in, reminding me that if I get up my test would be voided. The LMSW is 170 questions and can last up to 4 hours. On about question 65 I crossed my legs in my seat. She approached me and stated that she could void my test for "putting my feet off the floor into the chair." When she spoke to me, and other students, she was inappropriately loud for a testing center. A girl in a cubicle down from me apparently had her hair up, and let it down, and she told the girl that she had voided her test. She told the girl to sit tight. She walked away, and the girl began crying. EVENTUALLY the proctor returned and stated that she would "give her another chance." I didn't know this lady was the president of the licensing board for the State of Texas... When you need to go to the bathroom, or are done, you raise your hand and they come to you. NEVER EVER get up. Pro tips: They don't allow coats. Layer up if you are easily chilled. NO COATS or jackets. They suggest pull overs. Apparently, if your hair is up or down, don't touch it. The provide noise cancelling headphones and a dry erase pad with a marker. You cannot erase anything. You will be audio and video recorded. All things considered, the room was a decent temperature. I had a shirt and a pullover and was comfortable. It was raining and 55 outside. You need you Drivers License and a supporting (signed) document. Dress simply, and no food or drinks are allowed. Absolutely NOTHING in your pockets. They make you pull all of your pockets out. They inspect your eyeglasses as well. There are many people, staggered start times taking the exam. I wanted to take mine at the same time as a friend, but no two exams for the same certification start at the same time for the same location. Good luck, and don't give up. YOU GOT THIS!

Fast forward 3 years and I marvel at all of the things my daughter has learned there! At 4 she knows all the continents, the planets in the solar system, is beginning to learn math! The staff is great as well! Ms. Latha was her second mom there for a while. Best of all, all of the teachers really love being with the children all day and you can see it! Looing back now I could not have made a better choice in preschool for my daughter than Joyous! If I were to have any more children, they would definitely go to Joyous, from the baby stage until kindergarten!

It is one thing to leave a bad review since you obviously had a bad experience, but name dropping and calling people racist is a totally different scenario. Your review will follow these employees should they seek other opportunities. And for the record, my granddaughter is not 100% white and we have had zero problems. Just thought I'd throw that out there before you make assumptions as to the race of my granddaughter. I would like to address the previous review given by Sue M. Sue M's review infuriates me for several reasons. My granddaughter attends this daycare and we have had zero problems. It is diverse and the staff are amazing. If I were Emma or any one else you name dropped, I would personally file a law suit against you for defamation of character. Your child attended this facility for all of two months. You do not know them. At all. You should be ashamed. It is my understanding the management has access to the audio recordings for the classrooms. Have you asked them to review the footage? Have you even considered the possibility that your child is not being truthful? In this review you definitely sound like the "my child can do no wrong" parent. I worked with Hannah about 2 months prior to starting my child at this daycare and provided her application form, payment details and my child's vaccination records, but she forgot to run the application as well as she forgot to put my child on waiting list. When I called a week prior before starting my child, Jennifer (the director) answered the call and she was not able to find my child's application. Since Hannah was not available, she had me waiting until Hannah comes in. Hannah returned my call and told me that she forgot to run the application and put my child on waiting list so now I have to wait for another two months before my child can start daycare there. With all of that she was not even apologetic and the director did not even have courtsey to call me back or apologize. I was so much relying on them and now I have to look for other daycares who can take my child in just one week. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED.

Mrs. Cain- Preemptively enrolled my children in this daycare even though my ex and I share 50/50 custody and everything went down hill from there. ( They are only profit driven at least at this location) The kids continue to tell me that there is never any soap refilled in the dispensers and therefore my children were coming home sick every other week because basic safety features were not followed. Moving forward- The accounting department knew we were 50/50 custody and I asked a number of times to type up two different accounts so my ex (The FBI Special Agent) and I can keep our billing different. Things got progressively worse here and we came to a head when Mrs. Cain didn't know my children's whereabouts, even though they ride the CLA busses. How is this safe?? I own and operate a small business myself and I would never care for my patients the way CLA care for their children and respective families. I am a doctor and I am appalled that Mrs. Cain did not follow the divorce decree from day 1 and went by the verbal consent of my ex Mr. FBI Special Agent. I cannot speak any worse of this facility. My girls were called into the office and nothing was ever documented if it made the center look bad. Clearly, this business is profit driven and I will not cower to speak my mind just because my ex-husband Mr. FBI SPECIAL AGENT TRIED TO TRUMP ME and the school didn't follow our divorce decree. Ironically- Mrs. Jaimie Cain has stepped down and now they are under a different management. Rebecca suddenly claimed she wasn't sure there was space as 2 children had enrolled on Thursday, even though she had told me there was. I had just saw his classroom and counted about nine children, clearly not a full class, when the student to teacher ratio is 1:11 and there are 2 teachers. From there, the situation became even more concerning. Rebecca went into the office, whispered with Chris, the owner, and returned stating : there were actually no spots available and my son was second on a waiting list. After voicing my concern about being told there was availability, Chris came and spoke with me promising to call me back about the availability, but that call never came. Instead, I received a generic email confirming my son had been placed on the waiting list. This experience was not just disappointing as a single mom -- it was deeply troubling as this is a faith based school. The whispering in the office, the sudden contradictions, and the lack of follow-through made it clear that honesty and transparency are not priorities at this school. I would strongly caution other parents to look elsewhere. If this is how they handle new families at the door, I shudder to think how issues are handled once a child is enrolled.
