    Shrimp platter

We were in town and decided to stop here to grab a bite to eat. We were not disappointed! We ordered the gumbo, fish platter, and shrimp platter. The food was delicious! The French fries were really good too. They also have decent portion sizes too

    Crawfish

Hidden little gem. I have lived around the corner from this place for 21 years, and visited for the first time the other day. The other local dine in place for crawfish was too packed. Let me tell you, this place is good and the service was great. Crawfish were great and the beer was cold! Don't go for the frills, but go for the food. We will be back.

Nice and cozy atmosphere. When you first walk in, there is a fresh fish display as this is a market and restaurant. I came for lunch on Saturday so it was not crowded. Waiter was very nice and prompt. Seafood gumbo is very tasty. Their fried shrimp poboy has nice size shrimp. Everything tastes very fresh!

Trying to find the cheese on the roast beef poboy.

I had 4 crabs which was cold, I like my crabs hot. I took back with me to heat up. They were nice & meaty. The shrimp salad was delicious.

It was on a Sunday but it was not too busy. I got two pounds of crawfish with their potatoes. The crawfish was juicy and spicy and well seasoned. They were also a good size. The potatoes were soft and spicy with a great kick. The ambiance of the place is chill and gives a gas station type of vibe. It was quiet and it has an open space with no tables and chairs to sit down. They do also sale crabs, items in their freezers, drinks, and other boiled meats. Try them out if you are ever on Scenic Hwy!

With so many specialty seafood spots in all corners of Baton Rouge, the hunt for quality stuff…read moreusually comes down to just picking a place. One of those places is LTK, which has had a reputation locally as a no-frills option for quality boils, despite being slept on by most folks in the city. They have become an affordable destination for boils, especially during crawfish season. Like so many places in the hood, LTK isn't much to look at. Folks are usually lining up here for most of their crabs, or crawfish, and shrimp when in season. Owned and operated by a Vietnamese family, they are sweet to most folks but take zero ish from anyone. When things get a little hairy in these parts, they're the first to put their foot down. (#1) The menu is pretty simple: shrimp, crawfish, crabs, available in a seasoned boil or fresh (aka live). Shrimp is a premium and not always available, but the crawfish is dynamite. Wherever they're sourcing them is clearly local, since the crawdads are nice and large and well seasoned throughout. I appreciate the corn, potatoes, and eggs that thrown into the mix. They also offer meat like boudin and/or boiled sausage as well as obscure parts like turkey necks, pig feet, etc. Their food is always excellent. The prices are quite good and they're usually a few dollars off from more popular vendors. They accept credit cards ($10 minimum) but prefer cash. There are a lot of signs regarding food stamps, which is only acceptable for certain items but not for boiled meat. Beware of lines during crawfish season and since they run out of inventory practically daily, it's best to call ahead of time. ____________ (#1) Thanks for enforcing social distancing and masks.

I was excited to see that the store has greatly expanded since my last visit so many years ago and they had Big Shot Pineapple in stock *Yesss*!!! Bummed I didnt get banana now & laters only 4 banana laffy taffy. Gotta keep the good flavors fully stocked. Well everything else was great the snow crabs, pickled pig lip and of course they always have the best prices around town!! My aunt was trying to tell me about a new place she has been to but when it comes to boiled seafood it's too expensive to play around giving 'mnew places "a try" naw I need to know before hand that they are on point so G & J; J & G whichever they are known as these days is my go to for now... I'm looking forward to visiting again this crawfish season I'm certain I'll take a trip to Louisiana next month and this place is on my list to stop!! It should be on your list also. p.s. dont let the long line of customers rush the crawfish out of the most important phase Soak!!
