The Fresh Market is what Whole Foods SHOULD be!…read more I did a stop here back in early October. I'm glad I did as this place brought back some nostalgia to me as there used to be a Fresh Market in Loudoun County, VA where I used to live before closing to make way for a Trader Joe's. Walking around, I was pleased to see the ready-to-make gourmet meals that included delicious goods such as a bourbon peppercorn steak, peruvian inspired shrimp chaufa, and korean beef stir-fry. Lovely seeing different meals from different cuisines. And of course the deli area where you can get sandwiches, ready-made sides, and pizza. And the ready-made salads and wraps as well. And then there's a candy section and coffee area with fresh coffee beans; oh I should've grabbed something from there! I left with several items that included a 6 piece order of wings, side of dirty rice, veggie gyoza dumplings, and a curry chicken salad. All of which made for a great meal since I could pick numerous items that wouldn't break the bank. I wanted to try the calzones but I knew it would be too heavy for me. Definitely next time! Very glad The Fresh Market is still around and looks like it's thriving at this location. I hope maybe they'll expand to Houston sometime!

Asian Market, how did I just realize that you existed? I've already been to Asian Market multiple…read moretimes in the past few weeks. It's dangerous that I pass it on the way home because when I have a bad day or want comfort food, I end up here. It has your basic Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Vietnamese products. Anything from egg tarts to dumplings/gyoza to kimchi to natto to pho broth. They have a lot of canned/bottled drinks, like Thai tea, Yeo's soy milk, milk tea, coffee drinks. All the sauces you need. And of course the snacks many of us know from childhood, like prawn crackers or Marukawa bubble gum. For the size, I was very impressed with this cute little shop. It's clean and organized, well stocked, and they're so friendly there. Honestly, prices are also super reasonable. They could totally jack up prices more and get away with it, since it's the only shop of its kind in this area. So I decided on 5 stars because while I do wish they had more non-frozen actual food and more variety, for their size, they're doing the best that they can. You can't walk into a store this size and expect an H-Mart or Assi or Hong Kong Supermarket. And the fact that they appeal to all the Asians is pretty darn great for this side of Baton Rouge. Overall, I would highly recommend. Come here for snacks, dessert, or getting ingredients for cooking. Just beware. You might end up getting more junk food than you anticipated!

The blue cheese dressing had chunks of real blue cheese. Okay, that meets my standards for sure. The salad is a mixture of iceberg and romaine so that was an eh. Iceberg as we know is the lettuce with the least amount of nutrients and the least amount of yum. The music was 1970s and 1980s. As I started this review Wildfire was playing. I ordered the Cajun Crawfish Eggplant. This is the sliced, batter and fried eggplant (s) with deep fried crawfish tails and étouffée and cheese. And it was totally yummy, with a melding of great flavors mixing in my mouth and popping with flavor and a little spice, when I first saw it I was put-off because it was all together but it was delicious all together.

He was personable and I purchased 6 lbs. When I got home,I realized the crawfish were not even warm. I called the restaurant back to ask them why the crawfish were "cold." He proceeded to correct me and told me that the crawfish were not cold, but "room temperature." This really caught me off guard because he was correcting me about MY feelings about the crawfish temperature. The gall. I added that relative to the crawfish I have gotten since the beginning of this season, his were small, with hard shells and over seasoned; and that I would not be returning.

I couldn't pull out the share and sit without bumping into the lady behind me. There was a bit of a distance from behind us on the other table so we were able to pull that table back. During our visit, the restaurant was hosting a Santa brunch. It was nice to see the kiddos with parents and family, Mrs. Clause and the Grinch walking around. This was a nice to along with the unlimited mimosas, meals, and the hot chocolate bar. Our waitress was amazing! She was pleasant, kind, professional, and attentive. We stated off with the shrimp corn dogs. They were fried to perfection and the corn dog taste was great. They were hot and fresh. The tenderness of the shrimp was also great. The only feedback is that it would have tasted much better had the shrimp been seasoned. Without the creole mustard dipping sauce, there was a bland taste. For our main dish, I had the crawfish omelette. The sauce was good, however the texture of the egg was less than desirable. It was made perfectly round in a skillet and gave the texture of powdered eggs. When I inquired about it. I was told that it was mixed with milk, whipped, and baked. I would have preferred it with a regular egg. My significant other had the smoked salmon and avocado toast and thoroughly enjoyed it.
