Went to the barbershop this morning for the first time in about 20 years My Wife suggested I go to the barbershop to get my beard professionally shaped up in preparation for my new gig. I have been cutting and shaving my beard for as long as I can remember but always wanted to get a professional cut. My barber's name is "Strong" and he was great. The shop was clean, he wore his mask the entire time and no one can wait in the sitting area as per the regulations. He used multiple trimmers and then finished with a straight blade as I use and it added that little extra touch to finish off the shape up. The entire process was smooth. I called a few days before to ask about coming in. They suggested I set an appointment and I made it for 9am. Strong was early and I entered the shop at 9:01am. So I stopped by the shop on a Sunday, needing a last-minute shape up. (My barber was out of town, so it had been 2 weeks and I was borderline wolfing.) When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by Butta, who told me that he had me after the shape-up he was working on, and true to his word he took care of me. The shape up was fast and really nice work - fades were right, and his lineup and razor work was on point. I could see the other cats in the shop and they seemed to be doing good work as well. We had very bad experience, visited this place on last Sunday (Oct-14th-2018) with my son. We both were looking for haircut. The person who had cut our hairs charged more money than it was mentioned. For me he charged $25 and for my son(age 4) he charged $15. Me and my son both had regular hair cut. I dont think so the same amount was mentioned on the rate card over the shop. I realized later that it was $18 for adult and $15-$16 for kids. How come these guys can cheat openly. When i realized the rate card later while leaving the shop i felt very bad. I turned and saw the guy whom i paid but he was not even in mood of calling me back though he realized that he did mistake. Very bad! Wont recommend anyone! read more

First impressions - all the barbers were male, and all the clients at that time were male, with very short hair. The place is relatively clean. I asked for a pretty basic cut, and the barber was patient and friendly. However, he was very rough with the razor, and I ended up with 3 small cuts on my forehead. It's unfortunate as he had very good attention to detail and the end result was good. However, I must dock major points for discomfort and the cuts. read more

Hey I just got back from college and my older barbershop closed down so my friend recommended me to come here. So I walked in this afternoon to get a cut. As you know going into a barbershop not being a regulate can be intimidating but these guys treated me like like family from the moment I stepped in. When I opened the door I was greated by all of them and the owner of the shop ( Craig) came up to me personally and thanked me for stopping by. They were asking me who my team was in football and what I thought about the fight really engaging me in the the barbershop talk and this is all before my cut. I get to the chair around 7 minutes after walking in. The guy who cut my hairs name was Butta he really did an amazing job on my cut plus he used a hot towel to lay my hair down and my shape up was superb you couldn't even tell I had a receding hair line and the part was the cut was only $15, $18 with tip you don't find shops like this anymore I'm glad I did and I will be returning for years to come read more

2words to describe Headz Up Barbershop: Unprofessional, disrespectful. I walked in with my son few weeks ago to have his hair cut. The hours at the door stated 9:00 am-7pm. I didn't have an appointment. Only couple guys were in the chairs. One of the barbers, (white guy) finishes his client and I asked him if he could please help my son. He replies that he is done for today and that the others can help me. The time was 4:05pm. I thought he didn't hear me well as I am not referring to myself but my son. So I reiterated that it's just my little boy not me. He then responded shouting that he started his work this morning at 8 O'clock until now and that how many hours do I work a day for me to insist for him to cut my son hair. I was stun with his lack of respect and attitude, because he knows absolutely nothing about me or what I do. I grab my son and we left. 20minutes later he got his hair nicely cut. There is no way for me to go back to that place again. And I will make sure that none of my friends and relatives ever go in there. I worked hard for my money and I can't allow anybody, no matter who you think you are to disrespect me period! read more

Headz Up Barbershop: If you are looking for a Barbershop to go to, then Headz Up Barbershop has got you covered. I started out looking for a barbershop that fit what i wanted: being Close by, Good Price & Comfort, so i went on Yelp to search for the one i wanted. This one peaked my interest as a reviewer told his experience and it sounded exactly like what i was looking for more than any other place i was checking. I arrive and there was the Owner, a cool guy by the Name: Craig. He welcomed me in and told me he would take care of me when he is done with his appointments, so as i waited, another guy by the Name: Butta comes in and offers me a seat in his chair for a cut. Both gentlemen are real welcoming and treat me (like a reviewer said) like family talking about whatever comes to mind, that made me feel Engaged and welcomed which that was one thing of a few.. i have not experienced at any other place i have been to. Now regarding my Groomer, Butta hooked me up when i was a little short which was something i do appreciate. I learned with Butta is that when he says he "Got you" he means that, his attention to detail (which is something i am crazy about) was superb. As i felt the razor on my head, i felt as if this guy has experience and knows what he is doing. I asked multiple questions which he answered them all & while i am not hip the terms, he taught me basic terms (something which i am not good at when it comes to hairstyles) to ask for future reference, the word: Shadow comes to mind as i got a Shadow Fade & a Shadowed Beard to go along with the Fade. The end result left me with a smile on my face to which he noticed how satisfied i was. That was when i realized that this place left me with my first impressions.. As a good impression & that This is where i will be going to for a cut for now on. The employees that i met that day were very friendly and cool, I left with more knowledge on the terms of Hairstyles i was interested in, it is close by, the price in my opinion is just right, the place is clean looking and i was left looking Katana Sword Sharp. The fellow with the twists is not good at all he charges you extra for half a haircut. Highly dissatisfied
