I was pretty intimidated by the idea of intermediate yoga since i haven't been keeping myself in the best shape this past year. My friend had a membership at a fancy studio and told me i should try out the local yoga studio close to her place as they offer free classes. It was a rainy day and we were the only two to come in but I'm so glad my friend pushed me out of my comfort zone. The instructor was a very chill blonde and her husband. They made me feel very comfortable despite my novice skills. She encouraged me to push myself but told me to take my time. I left feeling incredible. I brought another friend, a novice like me the following day for a beginners yoga class! This time we were met by a brunette who was super sweet and very in tune with us. There was another woman who was a regular that joined us. I really enjoyed this session as i told her about trying to focus on breathing and she really helped me think about breathing in my everyday life. Thank you guys for the wonderful experience! Wouldn't recommend this studio to anyone. The studio is extremely dirty and cluttered. Being a donation based class studio is no excuse. Yoga is yoga whether its free or not. Boxes and boxes in the main studio room.. which some of them contain Doritos and chip bags!! Don't know if those are for sale, but I did see they sell sodas... Then it wouldn't surprise me they also sell those chips. I couldn't believe it! How in the world can a yoga studio even think of selling this to people. The studio only fits around 5-6 students per class, but it could fit 9-10 if they got rid of all the boxes in the back of the main studio floor. Nobody takes their shoes off, everyone walks with them on around the floor where classes are taught. I also saw a lady with her (quite smelly) dog walking around this same floor. I'm not a yoga expert, but i don't think i need to be to see that nothing from this space is actually Yoga. Real shame read more

Arti was very welcoming and made me at ease since she knew it was my first time learning yoga from a professional. Her calm personality resonates with yoga. She knows what she's supposed to do and does well. She gives every student attention. One thing surprising about yoga is that it surely tests your endurance and patience. Nevertheless, it was relaxing to me. I'm happy that I finally caught up with the yoga trend and transpired my stress as well. read more

NAMASTE! I had a Magnificent time at Heal One World.I felt rejuvenated &relaxed when I left. The studio was intimate&cozy, the hard wood floors felt cool beneath my feet.I began to unroll my mat as the breeze from the oscillating fan blew across my face. I choose the front of the class so I could see the instructor, I had only done simple Yoga poses in my living rm w/my granddaughter&I was apprehensive about attending a "Real"Yoga class but the teacher (whose training 2B a MD)& the all female class of varying ages&stages of life made me feel welcome & comfortable.When my body began 2 burn,or when my poses wobbled, I'd recieve a kind smile from a mat mate or words of encouragement from the instructor. When I successfully completed my 1st class the ladies introduced themselves, they welcomed me &along w/the instructor invited me 2 return. read more

Heal One World was such a great find! It's donation based so you give what you can. I arrived at 8pm and I was the only student that evening. Faye (I think that's how you spell it) was so wonderful and gentle with me being a beginner. She was sure to make me feel comfortable and safe in my transitions. She showed me varying stretches where I could stretch myself further or less, it was awesome! This place is amazing! Just remember that it IS donation based and no one has a way of letting you know class was cancelled. So go with an open mind that your instructors do their best to get there. I am so grateful to find such a humble and rewarding place! read more

Passed by the location after I stopped by the coffee shop about a month ago and kept telling myself to go check it out. I have been studying for a huge exam and I really needed to get away from the craziness of my life. It was my first time doing yoga this past Thursday and I went with my sister it was us and another person for the beginner class with Rivka. I had a very great experience, I had so many worries when I came in and I walked out feeling like a whole different person. I love that Rivka really explains all the moves we are doing and why. I am looking forward to coming to her class again. The place is small, but it was okay since our class that day was small. I plan to come back whenever I can. Having a yoga place like this is so great, I hope that more people in the community are coming at other times read more

Right after i got certified I taught my very first zumba class at heal one world. The warmhearted young women Skye Kelly runs the nonprofit organization with determination and faith. Her priority is to provide preventive health care and alternative health care to the low income popularity. The services are all available on a donation based level . It is amazing to see her continue to keep the non profit organization running even though paying the rent for the location is a struggle. How beautiful it is to be able to see the good in the world looking at such an honorable, amazing selfless young woman fighting to make the world better. read more
