About 6 months ago, I began taking a family member to the doctor because of issues "going". After receiving the traditional medical advice to give her Miralax a few times a day for several months. I knew there had to be a better more homeopathic way to get things moving. After some research, I came across Heal Thy Self. Upon calling, I was fortunate enough to speak directly to Lala, the owner, a gem of a human and a wealth of knowledge in all things healing. I immediately booked an appointment and both my family member and I got hydro therapy sessions. Lala, of course sat in, and literally "read" our poop. She called out everything that we saw and explained how to eliminate it for good. The most important suggestion that she made was a recommendation for a series of hydrotherapy sessions. Just one session isn't going to cut it-for anyone! And she was so spot-on. For a series of 6 weeks, we came to see Lala and Kay, who comes from a family of hydrotherapists and works directly with LaLa to get our cleansing. The results were life changing. My family member, who was going to the bathroom 1-2 times a week was now going 1-2 times daily, her body was no longer toxic and causing other issues triggered by being so backed up. And I was feeling less bloated, more energetic and less stressed. I've done two sessions of Guided Emotional Healing with Rolene. I had no idea what to expect but I'm so happy the universe guided me here. What an experience. In two sessions Rolene has walked through two different traumas that have impacted the way I show up in my relationships. Without giving away too much because everyone's experience will be different based on what your body is ready to work through. I will say Rolene created a safe and peaceful environment. Six stars! All I can say about the hydrotherapy treatment without giving too much (dirty) detail is it works, it works, it works! Instant relief & results! Now, where do I start with the facial I received later? How about the enzyme mask that removed the dead skin leaving my face as smooth as a baby's bottom? With naturally active ingredients such as pomegranate and cranberry, the all over steamer, or 3x gentle multi-wash, the white tea neutralizer. Then there's the sonic spatula that unclogged and minimized my pores and removed excess dead skin, LED light to rid bacteria or the mild extractions that surfaced the deep harbored bacteria? Although one extraction wasn't necessary and left a little sore on my face, she worked wonders with the remainder. I walked out a new woman. My visit was necessary and well above my expectations. While having a colon hydrotherapy session, I asked the technician if she could step out of the room because it just seems to be awkward having someone in the room talking to you as your stomach is cramping up and your expelling yourself. She did but then comes back in the room a little later and would not stop talking. She was pretty much giving my a lesson on Anatomy & Physiology and I am a registered nurse. I did become a bit frustrated at that and was just hoping that she would leave the room and not come back. I have received this service at another place and think I will just go back to there. Horrible experience. I scheduled an appointment on June 21st for July 5th and when we arrive to the spa we are told that are appointment was not put into the system. Remind you I took off of work for this because I get like it'll be a great birthday gift to myself. I was here 30 minutes and everything. When I spoke with the owner of the store she said said I didn't give her my name and number. Remind you we spoke on the phone and my name is in the FIRST text I sent her. Really disappointed. So I will first say consuela was great! I bought a groupon to try this place because the reviews were good and it is so close to my house. I have three stars because they first messed up my appointment. I made two appointments: one for me and one for a friend. I did it online which is an option. When making the appointment it gives you times in increments of 15 and it does not ask if you are getting a 30 or 1 hr long message. So I made one for 4 and my friends for 415 so we could start and end at the same time. When I called to confirm I told them I had two appointments. When we got here the had only confirmed one. So to be able to get both of us done because they had other appointments we only got 45 minute massages, which I paid for an hour. I wasn't asked what kind of massage I wanted and there was an option of three different types. During my massage, which the areas she touched on were amazing but my legs or arms did not get touched just my torso. Also it's in a large building and you can here the other businesses while getting a massage. It is kind of loud with banging and screaming and takes away from the relaxation of getting a message. All in all 3/5 stars is fair. read more
