For a tooth extraction, bone graft, and a silver filling exchange. It was a lot of "this is what your insurance covers, this is your copay " after procedures it was a lot of "actually your insurance did not cover it and this is what you owe" I took my business elsewhere after I kept paying for things that did not add up. The last time I receive dental services was 11/2024, Fast forwarded to April 2026 I get a call from healing dentistry in 2026 (17 MONTHS LATER) and a voice message saying I have a balance and if I don't pay in 2 weeks, it will go to collections. Healing dentistry has NOT sent me itemized bill or final notices via mail or email. One charge to my insurance was for cancer oral screening, which by the way should come standard during a cleaning, which my current dentist by the way does. My mental health and credit score is greater than $200. Not as biological or holistic as they portray. My experience here felt inconsistent, dismissive, and at times questionable. I've been a patient for about a year. I originally came here after another dentist told me I had cavities and pushed drilling, which I wasn't comfortable with. At my first visit, after X-rays and a full exam, I was told I had zero cavities. Fast forward to my most recent visit after new X-rays, I was suddenly told I now have multiple cavities, including one in the exact same spot the previous dentist had identified the same one this office previously said was not a cavity. That's not a small oversight. When I said I wanted to try addressing things naturally, the response felt dismissive. The dentist literally turned her head away from me so I couldn't see her face. Instead of a conversation, I got a treatment plan with thousands of dollars in fillings and no real discussion of alternatives. For a practice that calls itself "healing," there was no guidance on remineralization, no discussion of internal or lifestyle factors, Minimal education, despite recommending nano hydroxyapatite products. I was given things like MI paste with no idea what it really was or how to use it. Instructions were vague. It's very surprising that this is a dental school. I have no idea what the source of this product is. As someone who always reads labels, the source of a product is important to me. A lot of hydroxyapatite is synthetic. This dentistry calling itself "healing" felt like branding, not philosophy. Also, some of the interactions with staff were concerning. When I paying for $300+ whitening trays the receptionist told me I would need to repurchase whitening trays again soon because of "germs," which honestly sounded like a sales tactic, not science. We're constantly exposed to bacteria that explanation didn't make sense and came off as trying to upsell. I was also asked what I do for a living during payment, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable especially when being presented with a large treatment plan. I was told they have "60,000 clients," which didn't match what I observed at the practice, and added to the overall feeling that things weren't being presented transparently. On top of that, offering Botox and fillers while branding as "holistic" feels contradictory to what many patients expect when choosing a biological dentist. I came here looking for a provider who would partner with me and respect a more natural, conservative approach. Instead, I left feeling like I was being funneled into the same outcome I was trying to avoid just under a different label. My first complain with Healing Dentistry is that they changed the agreed upon price a number of times. This has happened while the work was being done and afterward. Last year my Insurance covered $4500. Healing Dentistry printed out a list of every procedure and the cost. My out of pocket amounted to $1400. Everything was approved by my insurance and the work was scheduled. The day of my appointment I was told that I needed to pay $92. The office manager told me to disregard that, that the list she had given me was the correct list and price. I paid the $1400 and received a invoice with the $92 amount crossed out and $0 Balance written in. The work proceeded. About a month later I received a text, informing me that I had a $92 balance. I reminded them that this issue had already been reloved and I explained that I have an invoice that states $0 balance and documents from my insurance stating that they approved and covered everything submitted to them. Healing Dentistry responded, "Thank you for reminding us." I believed that this issue had been settled. A few weeks ago I went in for teeth cleaning. When I made the appointment, 6 months prior, I asked twice what the cost would be. I was told $125, because I have insurance. I scheduled it on my calender along with the price. After my cleaning, Dr. Mitic said I owed over $400. I let her know that I was told $125. She told me that it was $250 for the cleaning. I showed her my calender. She also told me that I owed $92 for a crown that my insurance didn't completely cover. I did't realize that she was trying to charge me money for work that had already been completely paid for. I paid her $217. Later, when I went through my text messages with Healing Dentistry, I found the text from last year that had already settled that issue. I texted her, forwarded those messages and asked her to refund the $92 to my account. That was over two weeks ago and I still have yet to receive her response. I had to go to my bank to dispute the charge. It has taken me hours of time, submitting documents, on the phone, and emailing. I am on Social Security, on a fixed income. That is why I need to know the cost beforehand so I can make sure I can afford it. My second complain is the quality of their work: I first went in for teeth cleaning and whitening. They disregarded the cleaning, saying, "we'll do that later." That made no sense to me that I'm paying $400 out-of- pocket to have my teeth whitened and they wouldn't first scrape off the plaque build up to make it more effective. They said they would do it before the other work. They didn't. I had 3 bridges and a crown done. I then asked about the cleaning. They said it had been done. I told them it hadn't and had to convince them of that fact. I no longer will recommend Healing Dentistry. Dr. Mitic teaches dentistry and recruits her students to work at Healing Dentistry. Like so many other reviewers, I am here to tell you that this is the single BEST dentist I have ever been to. I am scared of the dentist. I have been since I was a small child. Dr Mitic and her staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND at every turn to help me as fast as possible, performed top notch work and built so much customer loyalty that I've already decided to travel to see her in the future after I move. I am not an ideal patient. I had open heart surgery and have mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS). My complicated needs led me to dentist directory on the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) website so that I could find a holistically-minded dentist who would be knowledgable about biocompatible dental materials after dentist #1 failed to communicate what a crown was and that I'd need materials other than those previously approved by my MCAS specialist. I assumed dentist #2 (who I found on the same site) would use zirconia crowns as they are industry standard and biocompatible. After paying for a whole new set of x-rays and taking two weeks to figure out what their crowns are made from, I learned they didn't. Luckily, by the time they got back to me, Dr Mitic had graciously seen me DURING her LUNCH HOUR bc I was in so much pain. This woman and honestly her entire staff are a dreamboat in the otherwise terrifying dental industry. Dr Mitic removed the previous temporary crown (which was too tall and too narrow) and showed me /corrected a cavity that the previous dentist left. Unlike dentists #1 and 2, both Dr Mitic and her receptionist, who's been working there for 29 yrs, knew that their crowns are made of zirconia. The dental hygienist took her time to make a PERFECT temporary crown -which cured the incredible pain I had been in for three weeks and two other dentist. THEN Dr Mitic TEXTED me the following day to make sure the pain was getting better! But also... she charged $500-1000 LESS than most of the other quotes I'd gotten. ($1500 for a molar crown). I am completely blown away by the quality of care at Healing Dentistry. This entire place in a diamond in the rough and largely corrupt in my experience world of dentistry. I absolutely love them. Only downside: I am ruined for all other dentist. Upside: fair, honest, communicative, knowledgable, experienced, holistic, stunning (not something I looked for in my dental search, but 10/10) AND as the daughter and grand-daughter of dentists, Dr Mitic started helping with oral surgeries when she was in elementary school. 11 out of 5 Cannot recommend enough!! read more

Dr. Marija Mitic is an absolute gem and I can't put into words how happy I am that I found her! I have always procrastinated going to the dentist because everywhere I have gone to has been a nightmare. Every question and concern I had was answered before I could even ask, it was so refreshing. This place is the best. I haven't been to a dentist in 15 years because every dentist I've ever had was a bad experience. Everyone in this office is so sweet and down to earth that you feel like you've known them forever. Most importantly, they have a bunch of figurines of tiny men in speedos hanging on the rim a giant wine glass on the front counter. It is without question the best decoration I have ever seen at any medical establishment in my life. read more

I have been a loyal client of this office for years even as they cycled through new ownership and 3 different dentists. Today I show up for my 6mo cleaning and they tell me they no longer accept my insurance. When they call me up to reception they are like "oh, sorry no one called you...you can pay out of pocket..." after having me wait in the waiting room for like 20 minutes. That was really rude and a huge oversight! They should've offered to give me a cleaning for my normal copay price. You know it isn't easy taking a day off of work these days, i dont appreciate their inconsideration and will not be recommending this new dentist to anyone I know. Beware! read more

The dentists here are great! Both Dr. Tang and Dr. Marija are caring and gentle. I hate going to the dentist but they make you feel comfortable. They give the most painless injections that you can't feel anything. The cosmetic work I had done was one of by a perfectionist. You will be happy you found this office. read more
