Soothing spa music, cozy high-end table... and a good masseuse. Jonathan combined modalities including: Thai, Swedish, Myofacial Release, Sport, Deep, and Reflexive massage techniques. Pricing is incredibly reasonable given the experience and full hour of skilled work. Was a good first experience. Was grateful for the flexibility in scheduling first session and felt for the most part heard in what was discussed. But, after a session with Jonathan, it loosens up considerably - and I have much more range of motion! He uses several different techniques, such as hot rocks, cloth, etc... Bliss, I tell you! I got a note a week ago from an individual that tried to point out that I was in pain prior to the massage, and claimed I had a personal issue with Jonathan. This is not the case at all. Yes, I was in pain prior to the massage, but I didn't expect my massage to make my pain HORRIBLY WORSE and have it last for DAYS ON END. It took almost a week for the horrible pain to go away, and when it finally subsided, I was back to where I started (no improvement). And in terms of personal issues, I have no gripe with Jonathan's personality. He was a very nice guy and he appeared very caring. But when I review something like this, I'm reviewing the service that I paid for, not the provider's demeanor. All the niceness in the world doesn't cause me to overlook the fact that the massage was very poor. My review is a very straightforward recount of my experience. read more

Fantastic Massage! Jonathan uses multiple techniques in his practice. Including Deep Tissue, Hot Stones, Cold Stones (I know right???), Thai massage, bamboo sticks (he's very targeted and gentle with these), aromatherapy...you name it, he knows when and how to use it! He determines exactly what your body needs for your particular issues. I never once had to tell him: "harder/softer/don't stretch too far, etc." Highlights: 1. You don't have to pay extra for each type of treatment, It's an all-inclusive "whatever you need at the moment" type of massage. 2. The location is very private and relaxing, great vibe. 3. Got a couples massage here last week, best massage of my life. Jonathan took care of me and Vanessa took care of her. They were both so sweet, welcoming, and very informative. The Healing Room is a gem of a find! I have had a lot of massages from therapists of all different skill levels and Jonathan is the best! I am now a regular client and have experienced a huge range of massage styles and his other therapies (I am a hot stone convert). Jonathan has done deep tissue work on me that has significantly helped injuries as well as lighter "I just want to relax" style massage. Jonathan is great at both and really listens to and delivers what I request (another rarity). That being said, he is also such an intuitive healer that he usually knows what will be most helpful without much input from me. In addition to the fantastic massage is the location of the Healing Room - set behind Iroha Sushi and the Garendo Gallery, I feel like I am stepping out of LA and into a secret world of Japanese art and culture. The energy of the whole space is relaxing and private. Jonathan is totally trustworthy and a very gifted healer.
