I have been going to this place for over 2 years. I get messages often compared to the average…read moreperson. I do 1-2x a week depending on how stressful the week was. I also suffer from chronic migraines. After having horrible migraine attacks my muscles in my shoulders & upper back have spasmed a lot which causes them to hurt so I get deep tissue messages for 60-90min just focusing on that part so the muscles will loosen up and I will have a break from pain. Coco who works there is a horrible person. She thinks she has figured out America and what we all like or think. She used to massage me and I tip her and any others I have $10 which is good especially when I frequent often. $5 tip is also good in my opinion as well. Times are hard and you don't know how hard someone worked or what they had to do to get that money to frequent your business so you should be grateful! Instead Coco feels entitled to the $10! She will laugh, fake compliment you, all to get you to tip her that $10 min in her mind thinking you don't know what she is doing. I know I am grateful when I have a good masseuse so when they work hard and I feel a big difference in how I feel i tip them well to show my appreciation! if I was rich I would tip whatever they wanted but I am not and I try to tip well based on work done. She always wants to take you as a client when you come in but then dictate to you what you should do not knowing what your financial situation is. Mind you I had been tipping min $10 for 1hr massage always! Except for that one time. I would also take my mother and recommend others there. So when she treated me like that and had the audacity to call me a "bad tipper" it was so shameful of her character and showed how ungrateful and fake she is. You would think after being a long time customer she would be more respectful and appreciative of me coming back! Coco will also try to up-sell you without you realizing. She will suggest something, you tell her no and she acts as if she understood you but then do what you said you did not want and leave you stuck paying for something you did not want in the first place! I wish I could get $10 every hour for 8hrs everyday for barely trying. $80 a day and $320 a month min. I got the special one hour foot massage for $30...it was generally what you'd expect from the typical Asian foot massage places: a lovely foot soak in warm water while getting a bit of a chair massage on arms, shoulders, legs, etc...then a luxurious and relaxing foot massage. I think I was lucky to get Jack, he was amazing, definitely one of the best foot massages I have ever gotten (and I have had many.) I'll be planning this into every trip to Philly from now on!

Place was very clean, lots of rooms, the massage therapist introduced herself and was nice although hard to understand with limited English. I was a little confused that there were large towels instead of blankets or sheets but I went with it. The pressure was very intense and I had to keep telling her to go easier. It felt more like a deep tissue massage, or even more like physical therapy then a relaxing experience and I kept tensing up asking her to use less pressure. At one point a guy who was an employee (I assume) opened the door to my room and had a full 5 minute conversation with the lady doing my massage WHILE she was working in me. Very awkward. At the end when I was getting dressed I noticed a weird sign on the wall -"this is a professional spa please don't ask sexual related questions" -what?!!! That was very creepy and I'm kind of glad I didn't see it until the end. Worst part was checking out, the massage therapist said she had to "call the boss" because she didn't know how to use the groupon. The boss is screaming into the phone (I can hear it from across the counter) and she gets on speaker phone and tells me very rudely that she doesn't have a contract with groupon anymore and she's not taking it and it's not her problem. "Hi, Since I haven't gotten a response from you these past 2 days in regards to rescheduling my appointment. After texting you, leaving voice messages and commenting on your Instagram account. I would like to be refunded my deposit. Thanks!" That got her to respond. - This deposit was labeled as an early access fee when I booked my appointment. Which I thought was strange. She claims she wasn't aware of it and had no evidence of it in her system.(even stranger) So I had to send her a screenshot of what I was talking about. She refunded me but what's annoying is that. When responding to me she simply responded saying what deposit. She didn't address the fact that I've made several attempts to reschedule my appointment and never got a response from her. Nor did she ask me about rescheduling. BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. And given the way she handled things I don't believe that there is really an issue at the building. I got a reminder text three days before the appointment, which was appreciated. Trina was so sweet, personable and friendly. She did an excellent job with the massage; immediately figured out if I was uncomfortable with a certain pressure or movement and asked how she could change it. I got a great scalp massage and the knot in my shoulder straightened out. I really liked how there was no push to sell me a package or membership at the end (which happens too often at spas), Trina just gave me her business card, told me about the specials, and invited me back. The location isn't fancy-it's homespun and very clean and inviting, with plenty of candles and soothing music. I didn't go home feeling any less pampered than I would have somewhere upscale- in fact, I got a better massage than I have at those places. I'll definitely be back.
