We hadn't been getting massages during Covid-19 and our health has been negatively impacted as a result. We immediately scheduled massages upon re-opening after Covid-19 closures. I had an amazing nurturing Lomi Lomi massage with Alita who is very intuitive to your body's needs. It was just as, if not better than an Ayurvedic Abhyanga Massage and now that I've found Alita, I will be going monthly for optimal health and well being. Massages help manage my pain. I've been to Thailand, Japan, Singapore and several other places in the Far East on numerous occasions and I've had more massages than I can count. I know the difference between a decent one and an outstanding one. The techniques at Healing Touch mirror those taught and presented in Thailand. Ms. Tippy presents the best Thai massage I've had in the United States to date. I've had many. She is disciplined in authentic Thai massage but knows other disciplines as well. Massages can be painful when my body is stiff and hurting, but Tippy knows how far to push in order to achieve gains without doing more damage. She is talented in massage, however she is also extremely gifted in counseling me on nutrition and stretching techniques. She never fails to deliver outstanding results. Massage therapy is not cheap and I do not like to spend money unless I am getting an outstanding massage, otherwise it feels like I'm getting cheated. The pricing is very reasonable - $100 for a couple's massage - and I will say that the masseuse did wonders for my back. Really a fantastic massage, she hit all major muscle groups and did good work on my traps and neck. I didn't ask for anything specific, and she didn't hit my IT band which some massage therapists have noticed as being tight, but she did good work on my hamstrings. This place is awesome, in every way. I've had memberships at other massage chains, but never really got a weekly massage until I discovered this place. Their prices are very reasonable and these ladies know how to get it done. Sometimes I go in for a regular full-body massage and leave feeling awesome. Other times, I come in with knotted muscles from a previous shoulder injury and need them to get in there and work it out. They do, like no one else. I was recommended this place by a friend and was very thankful that they still accommodated me after I was a little late because of a battle with traffic from Carlsbad. Nevertheless, it's a small parlor and the walls and doors are thin. I became distracted by conversation outside the door and police sirens driving by (clearly out of their hands). I have been getting massages at least once a month for a few years now. One of my regular therapists actually recommended that I try Thai massage because I tend to like lots of pressure and stretching. Instead of driving to Temecula like I had been doing, I decided to try this local place in Fallbrook. He was right. I love Thai massage. Katie does absolutely amazing work! Not only was the massage session wonderful, but for the next three days afterwards, I continued to experience what I can only describe as "waves of relief". I don't know what she did, but she fixed something. I'm not really into any sort of new age stuff, but whatever you want to call it, I could feel energy flowing through my back as if it had been blocked and was finally flowing where it was supposed to. I know that might sound kind of weird, but that was my experience. Even after the first three days of walking around saying "Ahhhh", for the next week my back continued to feel better than it had for years. One other important thing to note is that here, when you pay for an hour massage, you actually get a full hour of massage. Most places give you a 1 hour time slot; Not a 1 hour massage. At those places the therapist greets you, leaves the room, and comes back... there goes the first 10 minutes. Then, they usually quit 10 minutes early to allow some time for you to get dressed before the next appointment. Here, you get a FULL HOUR massage and don't feel rushed before or after. I've been back several more times since my first appointment and will be a regular here from now on. I did get a massage from someone else while I was out of town once. I had to come back to see Katie as soon as I returned to Fallbrook because the other massage just made me wish for the REAL THING. read more

I am nearing 70 years old. I'm active. I play 30-40 games of pickleball weekly in addition to a strict daily 30 minute stretching program. I've been in intermittent pain for four years, including back surgery (L4/L5), a knee replacement, and the other knee due for replacement within a month. I've had cortisone and epidural shots, chiropractic, acupuncture, and enough physical therapy to staff a hospital. I have had several different types of massages over the years, and I have to write that Katie was probably one of the best masseuses I have encountered in a long, long time. I was impressed with the comprehensive "new patient questionaire" and Katie's subsequent review of that form and asking appropriate questions to determine the type of massage technique that would be best for my particular needs. I particularly like Thai massage and deep-tissue massage, and Katie really was able to release pressure points and help my muscles truly relax. The massage room was very, very clean and the atmosphere was most pleasant. Beautiful music added to the whole experience. I will definitely be going back again and again. I also plan to give some friends some gift certificates, since I think the massages are truly a great gift. I'm very impressed with Katie's knowledge of trigger points and her ability to ease my stress and bodily pains....so much so that I will be cancelling my chiropractic appointment tomorrow!!!!! (P.S. I just read a review from Cindy G. from Carlsbad (posted August 26) and was a bit surprised to see such a low rating. I drive all the way from Mission Viejo, because the massages are that good! Although Healing Touch Thai Massage does keep the premises on the cooler side - it's usually a bit too chilly for me - I just asked for the air to be turned down, and it was. It also sounds like you had more than just a regular massage (redundant pressure in the same places). I sometimes get a deep tissue massage, which is NOT soothing, but it's something I need for my tissue/muscle health. The second or third time I was getting a deep tissue massage, I had to ask that they not use so much pressure - it was immediately changed. I would recommend you give them another try, and if something is not to your satisfaction, please let Gary or Kaydy know. They pride themselves on great customer service. read more
