Pros: * Room was nice, bed was comfortable, sheets and blanket were high quality and comfortable * The hot moist towel clean off of all the massage oil was a very nice touch * The masseuse spoke English, or at least enough for the basics. * Lady at the front desk was nice, and the massage started on time. Cons: * Make you wear shoe covers in the building, very strange * Room was cold during the massage * The light was way too bright during massage * The music varied between mellow traditional Chinese music and way too upbeat American music that was not calming at all * I had to ask at least 6 times for my deep tissue massage to be harder before she really started to go harder. Lots of time spent just doing superficial massage before that. * In almost every case, she did inconsistent massage work on the left and right side of the same body parts. Is that because they had different needs, or because she wasn't keeping track of her routine? I have the feeling it was the latter. * For a 90 minute massage, it's surprising that she skipped my chest (I'm a guy) and my quads. So just the back of the body gets massaged? That seems weird, and also physiologically incomplete. * They have a sign up front that pressures you into a 30% tip for a 90 minute massage, which I think is quite excessive. I ended up guilt tipping that amount, but I regret it. Businesses should not pressure you into exorbitant tips. That's just tacky and unprofessional. read more

Wow!! I'm someone who goes to the spa regularly and spends $200 plus for massages. I was staying at the nearby Seabird resort and stumbled across this place walking to my workout. Ocean Village Massage is off PCH in downtown Oside. Free parking on PCH or side streets. This place is CLEAN. I have had many massages. Tim has been my favorite so far. Not a true Thai combo but great none the less. 90 min is $99 plus tip. $1 to pay with a card. They also have foot massage rooms and couple massage rooms.
