Very obvious this place knows how to try and Up Sell clients, but doesn't know the meaning of the term and that it is not a good thing to up sell before you take the time to gain the trust of your possible client. How can a client relax if someone is trying to sell them more than is affordable? They tried to keep me trapped in their office while I was trying to walk out. They blocked my path in such a manner that I would have had to push or knock someone to the side. I sat down as they instructed to avoid physical contact still asking for them to just let me leave. The acupuncturist seemed to either be bothered she had a new patient at 3p on a Friday or she doesn't have the best bed side energy. She also seemed not very open to hearing my concerns and was very admit on selling my husband and I a $500 tea. What I also observed was how she communicated to the other employees. I went to Dr. Katherine for acupuncture after dealing with the pain and discomfort from dislocating my hip for 6 weeks. I had difficulty walking, standing, and bending over. I went to several doctors and was doing physical therapy. The PT helped a little but I still was very limited with movement. After encouragement from my Mom and Sister I decided to give acupuncture a try. I found Healing Tree on the website for my insurance, I called and was able to get an appointment the same day. As I entered the doors of Healing Tree Acupuncture & Welness Center I immediately felt calming by the tranquil environment. This is my first time receiving an acupuncture treatment so I was not sure if it would work to relieve my neck, back and knee spasms and pains. So I kept an open mind and the next day after the first treatment I was able to walk with greatly reduced pain. Dr. Katherine and her team are amazing!!!!!! I started acupuncture treatments at Healing Tree in August 2020 and am now in my third trimester of pregnancy. I was told that I had a blocked Fallopian tube and low AMH levels which would make it very difficult to conceive naturally and multiple fertility doctors advised that IVF would be our best option for starting a family. After almost 10 years of struggling with infertility, my husband and decided to pursue IVF. We chose to start acupuncture prior to the IVF because our fertility doctor said it could help our chances of success and our research seemed to support the improved outcomes with concurrent treatment. Dr. Katherine did a full assessment and immediately pointed out areas of concern which she believed were affecting my overall health and prevention me from conceiving. She made it clear that she would have to treat other health issues before beginning fertility treatment. Let me just say that I wasn't fully convinced on the benefits of acupuncture until some of my pain went away after the 1st and 2nd visits. I had pain in my finger joints yeah joints and my feet to the point where I was limping for 3 weeks. After having acupuncture from doctor katherine, I was walking normally that same day and Friday and from then on. My finger joints after having one needle acupuncture in them felt better after a few days. They were to the point where I couldn't really close my fist without it hurting like arthritis. I have compressed disks in my lower back and my blood pressure was elevated but after having the acupuncture I have had better movement better sleep and lower blood pressure. I can only say that I go twice a week now and they do take IEHP insurance so you get 12 visits a year on IEHP. read more

Just wanted to add to my first review. It's been almost 3 months since I've started seeing Dr. Katherine and I still couldn't be happier. I've lost about 20 pounds of fat and back up that was in my intestines that I didn't even know I had. I did not think I was overweight, but I definitely had more weight than what my frame needed. I'm only 5'4 and now my weight is steady between 105 and 112. That's waterweight. This weight loss isn't a fad diet. However, the true gem here is Dr. Katherine. She listens to your needs and concerns and addresses them with various techniques. She explains what she is doing, why she is doing it and how it benefits your body. Dr. Katherine is excellent at providing the body with post cancer operation and post cancer treatment care. I have life long lymphedema as a result of cancer treatments, but thankfully Dr. Katherine understands the trauma the body endures from these treatments and is able to ease and alleviate many of the discomforts that result from these procedures. I started coming here about 3 weeks ago and I love it. I was always scared of acupuncture because of needles and I didn't think it could actually work. I have not had to take any of my pain pills to manage my symptoms since going here. The dr is a miracle worker and goes over your symptoms before addressing the pain areas. She then uses infrared light/heat and towels to make sure you are comfortable. When your session is over, she checks in to see if you still feel pain and if so, she goes back in on the specific site until you are pain free. Maybe this works or maybe it's a placebo but either way, I don't wake up with chronic pain and I could cry tears of joy for that because I haven't had that feeling in years. I had 4 acupuncture treatments at this facility. Dr. Kim is very knowledgeable and caring. I would highly recommend him. I cannot say the same for Dr. Katherine. She was very demeaning and demoralizing. I understand she was trying to sell her products, but as a sales person myself, insulting your clients is not the way to sell anything. I was attracted to this place because they took my insurance but also because Maria (receptionist) was so polite and made me feel at ease. She answered all my questions both over the phone and via email. At my first appointment they even accepted my husband as a walk in! First appointment went well. It was explained to me the importance of the supplemental nutrition but for me it's not in the budget. Treatment was as expected... relaxing and in my own private room. In July,2020, I went to Healing Tree to help me with sciatica pain,but I got more! While there, I decided to take advantage of the varied treatments that are offered. DR. She is patient, kind and Very good at what she does!This treatment was done after each ultrasound session on my legs only.This is also painful, But worth it!! I did have bruising but I expected that, so it didn't concern me.When the massage is no longer painful it is Very relaxing! (The Ultrasound and Massages help with lymphatic drainage!) Cupping: I've done 2 sessions on my shoulders.This also helps with circulation. I do buy the supplements and I did do 1 detox program(which helped me lose the 25 lbs.) My mom came here as a solution and only got more problems. She was arrived to the clinic was being pressured to buy one of their tea for $500. As a brand new patient you would think they would explain the procedure but no. My mom was poked and put in a room alone with no idea what was going on. The acupuncturist kept poking at my moms leg and stomach asking her if it hurt here repeatedly when that's not where my moms pain was coming from. But each time my mom told her that's not the issue and that it didn't hurt on her leg or stomach. The acupuncturist would just keep saying " Yes it is". On top of that she began to experience pain in her leg from the acupuncture. As she was left unattended she had to call the office to get any help and once she did she left immediately. Never again ! Be careful here ! My mom mentioned that this clinic lacks communication and comfortability. Even if a patient feels discomfort how can they inform if they're alone and not checked on especially if they are a first time patient. read more
