Scheduling was difficult from the start due to strict time limitations. There was no evening flexibility, very limited weekday availability, and Saturdays were booked months out. None of these restrictions are disclosed on Groupon. This morning, I received a call from Miss Gone stating that my appointment had been canceled because they could not accommodate me. No clear explanation was given at that time. I said okay and ended the call. After thinking about it, I called back to ask why my appointment was canceled after weeks of trying to make scheduling work, coordinating across states, and adjusting plans around their restrictions. During that call, Miss Gone explained that after speaking with her staff, the appointment was canceled because it was believed that I was going to leave a bad review. I want to be very clear. I did not say I was going to leave a bad review. I stated that limited scheduling availability and lack of transparency can lead to bad reviews, especially for working professionals and couples. That was constructive feedback about the scheduling process. Miss Gone confirmed that the appointment was canceled because they did not want to receive a bad review. I have never experienced a business canceling an appointment based on the assumption that a client might leave negative feedback. There was no attempt to clarify my concern or resolve the issue. The appointment was simply canceled. When I explained that others were asking why the appointment was canceled, I was again told it was due to concern over a potential bad review related to scheduling. Canceling clients for expressing honest concerns is unprofessional and discourages transparency. If this practice only accommodates people with very open weekday schedules, that should be clearly stated upfront before selling time sensitive Groupon services. If anyone doubts this experience, I encourage them to try scheduling a Saturday appointment or an after work weekday appointment for a couple. Availability is booked months out with very limited flexibility. Based on how this was handled, I would not recommend this business to working professionals or couples.IF I CAN GIVE A ZERO I WOULD..

I set up an appointment ahead of time and they were ready for me when I arrived. A quick restroom visit and I was ready for what lay ahead. Disrobe and get under the sheet. I was quick about it and it was game on. Now if you aren't familiar with Shiatsu, let me tell you - it isn't for the faint of heart. Unlike Swedish or relaxing massage, Shiatsu is more like deep tissue massage on steroids. At similar companies in the past, they use knees, elbows, forearms, and finally, feet to perform the massage. My session today did not include getting walked on, but everything else was utilized. The pressure can be intense at times, but the masseuse can always back off a bit if it gets to be too much. I suppose I need to request medium pressure next time. At various intervals along the way, stretching was employed. I am no spring chicken, and I don't bend as easily as I used to. Actually, I hardly bend much anymore, so the stretching was somewhat intense for me. Again, the masseuse can always back off a bit if need be. Most of my session was face down, as is typical. When it was time to flip over, in addition to massage, there was more stretching to take place. Arms, legs, torso, hands, feet, fingers and toes. They all got stretched. I didn't experience much facial and head massage, but my neck was worked over pretty well. Once the hour-and-a-half session was complete, I felt like a Gumby that had been worked over by a 4 year old! By the time I was dressed and ready to pay on the way out, everything felt fine. The intense massage didn't leave any pain for me to endure. If you think you could benefit from more than a deep tissue massage, this might be the place for you. $80 for an hour, $120 for 90 minutes.
