I rarely leave reviews, but I feel strongly that other families need to be aware of my experience with this company. I chose this DME provider because they were one of the only authorized providers in the area for Cubby Beds and had positive reviews--though now I question their authenticity. In August, I submitted all required documentation for my son's Cubby Bed, including a detailed letter of medical necessity and prescription for the full system (bed, canopy, mattress, and tech hub). My insurance approved everything quickly and without issue. However, the DME company submitted the order incorrectly as only ONE unit of durable medical equipment. When I called to clarify, I was told it should have been submitted as FOUR separate units. This forced me to go back to my insurance company to correct THEIR mistake, causing unnecessary delays and confusion. After finally getting approval corrected, the bed was delivered--but without the tech hub. When I followed up, I was then told (months later, on December 30) that the tech hub was actually a FIFTH unit that had never been submitted. Again, I had to contact my insurance company myself to fix their error. My insurance approved the additional unit immediately, but because it was approved on December 30 and the company was closed for New Year's, the order was delayed and the tech hub went on backorder. I was assured it would still be delivered and backdated. It is now April, and we still have not received the tech hub. To make matters worse, our insurance has since changed, meaning we will likely never receive it. This is not just an inconvenience--this is a serious safety issue. The tech hub includes monitoring features that are critical for my son, who has epilepsy. This equipment could literally help save his life during a nighttime seizure, and we are without it due to repeated errors and mismanagement by this company. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and repeated mistakes throughout this process are unacceptable. I strongly urge other families to choose a different DME provider. This has been an incredibly frustrating and concerning experience, and no family should have to fight this hard for medically necessary equipment. read more

Had a great experience the first few times I talked with them. However the day I picked up my CPAP I felt rushed through the instructions, the man helping me needed to leave to meet a plumber at his house. Luckily my husband uses a CPAP so could help me with questions. Then I had to go to the shop for supplies once that were shipping a little late and I was leaving town so needed them. The man getting my order checked everything and I said I had it all but I decided to look again when I was in my car. There was one item missing, so I went back in, that they did not have and I had to go back the next day for it. I have had issues with other calls where I cannot understand the person on the phones English. read more

Initial visit was good. Apparently because James is the only one who is not related to the owner. James was very thoughtful and helpful. But be warned about auto ship. They pack everything on the back room and ship out randomly. Items you don't need. And changed out headset without sending a way to wear it. If you like using elastic bands with safety pins around your head at night, this is the place for you. Woman behind the desk kept my packing list when I complained I didn't get the proper headset. They said just report us to blue cross. . We can't help you. And we don't care. read more

We have been working with them for about six weeks on a mobility scooter. I am fairly aware of the devices ... we have one that we bought ourselves used ten years ago, and I am an engineer). So far their service and support have been terrific. As noted we are still in progress, so if this changes I will update. This place is a joke. Had a prescription sent to them for simple wound care dressings and bacitracin which is antibacterial ointment. Had to wait for insurance approval. Asked if I could just buy a one day supply and was told that the price was astronomical and I wouldn't be able to afford it. And it was said very rudely. So then they said it was approved and it would be expedited to my house the following monday. Which would have been 2 days later. A week goes by and we still have no supplies. Made a phone call and then was told that the insurance did not approve it and they would not be sending supplies. My question is why didn't they call us to inform us? We were treated poorly from the second I walked into the business till today making the call. Very rude customer service. read more

I complained about customer service, not following sanitary guidelines by sending unsealed supplies. Instead of fixing the problem they asked for their equipment back. Now I have to start the whole process again. They have no respect for the customer. If you expect good customer service, timely shipping of supplies, ask your doctor to pick another DME supplier. read more

BUYERS BEWARE We recently travelled from GA to Ann Arbor for treatment for my father at the University of Michigan. My father is mobile, but due to back issues, he had been sitting more than usual. Unknown to us, he had developed a level 2 and level 3 bedsore. It was suggested to us to purchase a ROHO seat cushion for the ride home. We were leaving the day we purchased the cushion and did not have the luxury of researching the cushion. We went to Healthcare DME and were sold the ROHO Mosaic Seating and Positioning Cushion (18 x 16) for $295.00 plus tax. My father asked us to order a cushion for my mother, who does have mobility issues and I was shocked to find the exact cushion on Amazon and other sites for $90.00 (along with an 18 x 18 inch cushion which would have been better for $68.00). ROHO does sell another cushion that sells for $369.00 and we thought perhaps they had made a mistake. We called two Medical Supply Companies in GA and they both said the retail price was $90.00. In order to make sure we were talking about the same cushion, my sister called the ROHO District Manager in MI and asked the suggested retail price for the cushion we had. They said $140.00 was the suggested retail price. We then called Healthcare DME thinking a mistake had been made. We were told, "No, that's our price." Folks that's a $155.00 to a $205.00+ markup. This is highway robbery in my mind, especially considering they are preying on individuals in a tough situation. We had to have the cushion for my father, didn't know the suggested retail price and did not have time to research or order online. I find this both sad and sickening. read more

Just had a disturbing encounter when trying to return an item. Manager/owner was extremely rude, very customer unfriendly and at one point refused to return my money. Be sure to read their "fine print" because they have a 15% "restocking" fee. They never tell you that when u purchase the item. Not sure why there is a fee, since the item doesn't need to be restocked when it is returned! I would never trust this business owner. read more

They rented me a wheelchair and it broke within 2 blocks of pushing my mother in it. I called and told them and they told me they wouldn't refund my money. So many other places to get medical supplies and rent mobile equipment. Everywhere else is cheaper and better. I have never been treated so horribly. Not the place to go. read more
