I've been a patient of Park Nicollet for my whole life, 25 years. I first started at Maple grove…read morebut started going here because my docs transferred. For the last month park nicollet dropped my IMPORTANT appointments without contacting me. I expected and needed these close follow ups for my auto immune condition, concussion, hormones, etc. I've never had insurance problems in my life, and I have NEVER changed my insurance. Apparently they're claiming I have a different insurance, so they just cancel appointments without letting patients explain or know. Having a weakened immune system I expected better from Park Nicollet! I took a whole day off for this appointment, and this was my SECOND time in a month doing the same thing: waiting and finding out they canceled without telling me. On the phone they tell told me to call my social worker- the funny thing is I have NEVER had a social worker in my life, so that confused me. I'm highly disappointed that they don't try to assist me and direct me where to go to "remove" this insurance that I have never applied for. I made 2 appointments in the last month and I am now completely out of medication not because of me, but because of their lack of respect and organization for patients like me. They had me calling around for the last 3 weeks trying to figure this out. Two weeks ago I talked to an account manager who said the ONLY insurance I have on file is HEALTH PARTNERS, so for them to tell me I don't have insurance they take please - is RIDICULOUS. Hear me when I say go somewhere else.

I asked the receptions and she just told me the wait will be and hour. Doesn't urgent care mean urgent? With the amount of money they charge, I would imagine they can afford more health care workers.

I am extremely concerned about my experience at Mercy Hospital Emergency Department Coon Rapids…read more I have stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and am currently undergoing chemotherapy, along with severe chronic pain from multiple surgeries. I was at the hospital supporting a close friend during a relapse in their sobriety while already physically exhausted and emotionally overwhelmed. Instead of compassion, I was met with disrespect. A nurse called me a "bad friend" because my friend had relapsed. I was also told I could not have a glass of water because "we aren't here for you," which felt cruel and dehumanizing. I was also deeply disturbed by the doctor who appeared visibly upset. He was argumentative, shaky, very red in the face and smelled strongly of cologne. He made me feel unsafe as a medically fragile person. Hospitals should provide compassion and dignity. That is not what I experienced. I left feeling humiliated and deeply upset.

Absolutely do not go here if you do not have to…read more I've left a detailed review detailing my reasoning (twice) that seems to disappear. As it was quite unflattering, I can understand why they would wish it to not be seen. Yet... how then does one warn others about the horrible experience (s)... yes.. that is plural, so not an isolated incident by any stretch. I would suggest that anyone think twice, have people with who can witness the treatment for you and keep records of what they do. HIPPA - is obviously not something they care about in the slightest. In fact, they simply "could care less about patient's"... they violate ethical norms, HIPPA laws and endanger lives all without batting an eye. If you have the nerve to question them.... Well then... retaliation can be expected, but no answers as to why they don't follow the rules nor the laws. It is blatant and to the point where it is just their way of doing things snd they feel it is normal to do. I was told that "this is the new normal lady, get used to it". I have no doubt that the nurse who said that was just being honest. This has gotten worse over the last year and should be investigated - if any agency cared. I seriously doubt they do as it is ongoing. Our nations healthcare system is failing us. And or government oversight that should deal with it is allowing it to escalate. People will be harmed. When will the harm be substantial enough for anyone to bother addressing it. In the mean time, you have people breaking the laws and providing substandard care without oversight. Don't subject yourself to potential harm if you don't have to.

LABORATORY - 4 stars!…read more This review is for the lab services only. I've used them several times because this is the closest Fairview lab to my home in the northwest metro. GOOD: 1. I never have to wait long. I've always been in for blood draws quickly once I get to the interior lobby for the lab. My butt barely hits the chair before they call me up. 2. The personnel have always been very friendly. 3. Amazingly, my pokes have always been flawless - no pain, no hematomas, no problems. 4. The lab tests have always come back lightning fast. The results show up quickly on My Chart. NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: 1. Making an appointment on the phone is a pain in the butt. Be prepared for long wait times, lots of button pushing, and possibly being transferred to a different number and doing it all again. I recommend calling at non-peak times or trying to do it on-line through My Chart. 2. The people at the main front desk (not lab staff) that check you in are sometimes bitchy and unfriendly, frequently looking like they might be sucking on lemons behind the counter. It looks like their job sucks. (Personally, I think I'd rather work in a coal mine than do their job.) I'm not sure if I should feel sorry for them or if I should be irritated because they can't maintain a friendly demeanor. Overall, thumbs up for all those hard working "Lab Rats" (an old, friendly biology term for lab workers)! -Daddy Maxx Retro(

I made it crystal clear that I'm just in for preventative care and nothing else. The nurse I was seeing did a good job of the basic things, but after the review I got a bill for charges not covered by my preventative visit. Super muddy lines and all trust lost over something so basic. If you have a percentage of care that you will be responsible for, be aware and probably avoid this clinic. I suffer from gout- which is a lifetime disease in most cases. I got denied medication (colchicine- a non-steroidal drug to help reduce uric acid in the body) to help manage pain becuase I haven't been in for a check up for over a year. When I asked when I can get seen, I was told the earliest appointment was 4 days away- over the phone. I'm left with unbearable pain, and there is nothing they can do until I get in for an appointment. I am now searching for a clinic that is reasonable with people, and not just a money grab. If you have state insurance, this is the clinic for you- they charge for absolutely everything here, but you will get the care you need.

She's very kind. As for the doctor they paired me with- I was desperate. I have avoided doctors at all costs my whole life- I'm only 25 and am not sick very often but when I am my experiences have never really been good because either the issue I was experiencing was never solved or they don't even listen to the things I'm saying, or they prescribe me more meds that don't work and I'm in the same boat instead of solving the problem. Not the case here. My doctor was Danielle, and she is an angel. I was almost crying when I told her of what I was dealing with and she not only listened intently but TOOK NOTES as I spoke to her. She was very understanding and sweet, even hesitated at the door before she left as if she wanted to hug me because I was so so down. The things she prescribed me actually helped and she covered all the bases. I am so grateful for her and will keep coming back to her. Thank you for showing me what patient and doctor relationships are supposed to be like. -Ceaira
