We had a group of people that liked different foods and he made some items that weren't on his regular menu. The appetizers he prepared were amazing! Everything was so fresh, unique and delicious. Mike started us with complimentary bread that came with truffle butter and truffle balsamic oil. The dipping sauces were sooo good. I personally would have preferred a bread crispy crust type of a bread for the dipping. Then we had scallops with tomato pesto sauce that were absolute perfection. I never really loved scallops until I tried Mike's scallops! They melted in your mouth. We also had the shrimp cups in a phyllo cup with guacamole! It is such a perfect summer appetizer. Absolutely delicious! We also had steak bites that were covered in a chimichurri. I wish the sauce was on the side. It was a lil bit spicy for some. Then we had our main entree which was flank steak with truffled mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was so good but everyone wished that the portion of the steak was bigger and that it would have came out hot. We had the appetizers brought out before everyone got to our house so then we waited to eat those until everyone got there. By the time everyone settled and was ready to eat, the appetizers were cold and the entree was ready . I live a few streets over and I've never been happier to have such a quality deli this close. I have had breakfast and lunch multiple times from here. I have had egg white wraps, breakfast burritos & french toast for breakfast. I have also had a couple different sandwiches for lunch (El Guapo is so good, it's a must have), along with their iced coffee. Everything I have had has been 5 stars. The quality and portions of food is amazing. They have a very nice store, with a handful of tables to dine in. There are "to go" sandwiches freshly made that come with a bag of chips. Super convenient if you are in a rush and don't have the few extra minutes to wait for them to make a sandwich. Service is fast, and the staff as well as the owner are super friendly. My husband loved his steak taco and the Long Island panini, I had a Salmon with rice- (salmon was extremely dry) and Barbecue beef ( also dry). Both tasted good, but I shouldn't have to chew any food that long. I received a refund for the meals that were inedible. They asked for pictures to check the "batches" in case there was a production issue. They seem to actually care about the Customer and their product, a rarity now a days. I will try again, and hopefully I have better luck.
