Scallion cream cheese on an everything bagel
    Adriana M.

I was craving an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. I wanted to try out this bagel spot, as I've never been before and am trying to find the best bagels in my area. The shop is clean and the service is friendly. My bagel was delicious and definitely satisfied my craving. Prices are very fair too.

Bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel

I got a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel and there wasn't much egg in it. The bacon portion was fair and cooked well. The bagel was just ok with no toppings on the bottom which had a commercial look to it. The service was very good but they were understaffed and I waited about 10-12 minutes for my food. The setting was clean with apparent regulars customers and delivery people coming in to pick up orders. I'd go back if in the area but it wouldn't be my first choice if I were a local.

bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel

definitely come here they use real egg instead of that gross powdered stuff for bagels and the bacon is great! coffee ridiculously cheap you can't find anything better! very kind employees

Great place for take out or eat-in. The staff are friendly and respectful. Cozy and clean atmosphere. Great for breakfast and deli sandwiches. Their bagels are made fresh in house. Just wish they has an unsalted-everything bagel option. They offer catering menu as well. Prices are reasonable with excellent quality and portions. A neighborhood gem in Medford!

This is my go to place for bagels and egg sandwiches in the area! They're always busy which just goes to show that I'm not the only one who thinks they're great. That being said, I would definitely call ahead to place your order and especially on the weekend. Joel & his crew are sooo nice and really make you feel that neighborly and community love. A++ Joels!

Went to Joel's bagels today starving to death, but they didn't have any more everything bagels, which I was craving so Jefferson at the counter suggested the everything twist. I worked in the Bagel business for many years extremely picky. I asked him to scoop out as much as possible, and usually when you ask people to do that, they roll their eyes and they do it half assed. This kid scooped out every little bit of that bagel for me and put the perfect amount of jalapeño cream cheese. Thank you so so so so much. You actually made my day because I usually don't like anything. YOU ROCK

They make a solid BEC, I got this one with a hash brown. They take a bit longer than most bagel places but the food is delicious and the staff is so nice. I got 2 of these sandwiches and 2 bagels with butter for $18!

A local gem, Joels Bagels is a must-stop shop for all of your bagel, sandwich, and breakfast on-the-go needs. With a wide variety of cream cheeses, sandwiches, bagels, and more, there is something for every palette to enjoy on the run. Service is always friendly and efficient adding to a more pleasant start to anyone's morning. My husband and I have staple bagel favorites when coming into Joels Bagels. We love our egg sandwiches: egg everything bagel with eggs, bacon, cheese, ketchup, and salt and pepper (his) and a garlic or rainbow bagel with eggs and bacon (mine). The bagels are always the perfect texture/chew and the sandwiches themselves are consistently crafted with care. Everything always just melts in our mouths. We have been patrons of Joels Bagels since they opened, although we now live out of state, they're always at the top of our list to get our bagel/breakfast fix while we're in town visiting family. The owner is there every morning we stop in actively helping out the staff and warmly greeting his customers. Despite how busy it is, he will always come around the counter to greet us with a hug and smile. He is always thrilled to see my husband and me when we're in town and stop by the shop, which makes going to Joels also feel like catching up with family. Kudos to Orlando and his staff for whipping up great food and building strong connections with your customers. Your friends from California can't wait to visit again soon.

The longish sort of line seemed promising, but the hold up wasn't because everyone needed a bagel from here, it was only because of a discrepancy of some sort. The staff was hustling, and eggs were being flipped right behind the counter and everything looked like it was kept clean. The service is a bit subpar. I was skipped over, which seemed to be an honest mistake so I didn't fuss. More pissed at the dude that speak up to say I was next. I guess chivalry is dying. The bagel itself was also subpar. I ordered an everything flagel with olive cream cheese. It wasn't bad by any means it just wasn't anything special. The star of the show was the cream cheese. Wasn't too olivey and you can tell it was pretty fresh. Nothing was labeled so I couldn't tell you what other cream cheeses they had. The menu was digital and was hung on the wall behind the counter. It didn't have much besides the list of bagels and before I could try to read more it would flash off. This place is fine in a pinch, but I'm not running back any time soon.

To start, I found The Turkish Pistachio on Yelp searching for a store that sells baklava! Its maybe a 15 minute drive at most from my home so I headed there after an appointment I had today! I walked in and was struck by their huge variation and selection of products. The refrigerators and freezers in the back carry ready made meals and items you would need to make your own! I saw everything except the baklava so I went to the counter to ask for help and was immediately greeted by the friendliest guy with the nicest smile named Art! The baklava was sitting right on the counter but it was pistachio baklava, not the type made with walnuts that I wanted! Art searched in the back for me and in the frozen section but no walnut baklava, only pistachio! A new shipment wasn't due to be delivered until Thursday, so being a wonderful employee, Art offered me samples of the chocolate covered nuts and raisins that were displayed in the front of the store. I tasted them all and all were so good but the milk chocolate covered almonds were the winner for me! After paying for my almonds, Art took out a little spray bottle he had near the register called Turistik (it has a very fresh lemony scent). Apparently there's a Turkish custom that you shake hands after any transaction and then you spray your hands after with this product to cleanse them. This is absolutely true, I googled it! I may not have found my baklava today but instead I discovered a real gem of a store, learned a Turkish custom, left with a pound of chocolate covered almonds, a bottle of Turistik and I made a new friend named Art. It was a win win for me in every way!
