So I set out to find a new place. Mind you I had a tooth that had just gone through a root canal, so time was of the essence. 1-800-DENTIST led me here. Since it is close to my work, I gave them a try. They got me in within a few days. Now, I could bore you with a lot of details, but I'll get to the point. The nature of my crown was fairly difficult, way in the back bottom molar. So difficult that in the end I made 4 visits here to get it right. Let's just say they got to know me really well the past month. Now, you may be saying to yourself, "Why would he give them 5 stars if they made him come back 4 times? Isn't that a bad thing?" You see, most people wouldn't consider that a positive experience. At my old dentist it wouldn't be. But there's a reason I am praising the Smile Exchange. I spent years in customer service. I was on the service side, and in quality control. I consider myself an expert on how it works. Smile Exchange treats you like a valued customer. They realize they are a service industry. Not every dental place does this. Along the way, Dr. Rolotti explained every reason why things were happening the way they were in great detail. I understood why there were problems, and what needed to be done. He gained my trust that way. Despite the complicated nature of my issue, he approached everything with tremendous attention to detail. But that's not all. You see, when a service industry has a situation where there's difficulty in the service even when they're trying their best to get it done, the most important thing they can show you as a customer is empathy. I truly felt that they honestly felt bad asking me to come back again when things didn't go as planned the first time. As a result, I felt like that even though my experience was complicated, that they were going to do everything possible to make it right. They did. In every sense of the word, they did it. They're worthy of your business. Everyone there treats you like a friend (say hi to Steve at the front desk for me). No, they won't make going to the dentist all sunshine and roses. All they'll do is serve you in the best possible manner they know how, and they'll make you smile along the way. In the end, that's the best customer service around.

Dr. Rose was so friendly and the staff were great at warming up my little one up to the new environment. They even put our name on a sign along with other kids who were coming that day so we felt welcome! Apparently the kids don't actually sit in the chair until 3+ so we'll come back every 6 months and have our child lay on the dentist and I knee-to-knee for quick checks. Despite follow-up visits, X-rays, and consultations, the dentist dismissed my concerns, advising us to "keep an eye on her." We saw an oral surgeon who ridiculed my worries, laughing and asserting that this was not their scope of practice. The dentist at Charm Dentistry simply attributed her symptoms to normal growth and development, which was completely inaccurate. Despite maintaining regular recall appointments, performing intraoral exams, and taking radiographs over the years, they suddenly stated that my daughter needed orthodontic treatment--specifically braces--without any prior mention or recommendation. The in-house orthodontist suggested that it might be too late for braces since her permanent dentition had not fully erupted, and they proposed extracting multiple (6 to be exact) primary teeth and charging me for clear radiographs that they already possessed--an obvious attempt at overcharging and unnecessary procedures. Deciding to seek a second opinion, I consulted an orthodontist who confirmed that she should have been evaluated for interceptive orthodontics as early as age seven. He explained that the orthodontic window of opportunity had been missed, leading to more complex and prolonged treatment down the line, which could have been avoided. When I called to schedule the extraction, per my second orthodontist, "Abby," she naively claimed not to have received my messages and was incredibly dismissive and disrespectful. When I asked to speak with the office manager or owner, she said no one was available. Despite confirming that the orthodontist had emailed paperwork directly to the office, they denied receiving any documents, which is both unprofessional and concerning. The entire ordeal was draining and unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism, patient-centered care, and transparency from this practice. I know my rights and will be sharing my negative experience with others to prevent them from going through the same ordeal.
