Shortly after, I was taken to the back by one of their hygienist who was very friendly. She explained procedures and after I had an extensive exam and photos. Before, ending the exam the Doctor came in to speak with me, she was also very friendly. A few days later I went back for a cleaning. I am so bad with names but the girl that cleaned my teeth was really nice. I felt very comfortable with her and she did a great cleaning job. Every time I called the front office, I encountered rude and unprofessional staff. My daughter experienced persistent temporomandibular joint (TMJ) discomfort and jaw pain for nearly two years. Despite follow-up visits, X-rays, and consultations, the dentist dismissed my concerns, advising us to "keep an eye on her." We saw an oral surgeon who ridiculed my worries, laughing and asserting that this was not their scope of practice. The dentist at Charm Dentistry simply attributed her symptoms to normal growth and development, which was completely inaccurate. Despite maintaining regular recall appointments, performing intraoral exams, and taking radiographs over the years, they suddenly stated that my daughter needed orthodontic treatment--specifically braces--without any prior mention or recommendation. The in-house orthodontist suggested that it might be too late for braces since her permanent dentition had not fully erupted, and they proposed extracting multiple (6 to be exact) primary teeth and charging me for clear radiographs that they already possessed--an obvious attempt at overcharging and unnecessary procedures. Deciding to seek a second opinion, I consulted an orthodontist who confirmed that she should have been evaluated for interceptive orthodontics as early as age seven. He explained that the orthodontic window of opportunity had been missed, leading to more complex and prolonged treatment down the line, which could have been avoided. When I called to schedule the extraction, per my second orthodontist, "Abby," she naively claimed not to have received my messages and was incredibly dismissive and disrespectful. When I asked to speak with the office manager or owner, she said no one was available. Despite confirming that the orthodontist had emailed paperwork directly to the office, they denied receiving any documents, which is both unprofessional and concerning. The entire ordeal was draining and unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism, patient-centered care, and transparency from this practice. I know my rights and will be sharing my negative experience with others to prevent them from going through the same ordeal. I strongly advise against bringing your children to this office to avoid unnecessary suffering and mismanagement. If there were a minus 20, I would definitely put that.

Dr. Rose was so friendly and the staff were great at warming up my little one up to the new environment. They even put our name on a sign along with other kids who were coming that day so we felt welcome! Apparently the kids don't actually sit in the chair until 3+ so we'll come back every 6 months and have our child lay on the dentist and I knee-to-knee for quick checks. Sealant usually last for years if they were placed in the first place. If this is not highway robbery I don't know what is. If I tell you I was taken advantage of that would be an understatement. It's sad to see a supposedly professional office Fraudulently charged clients for work that has not been rendered. I had to get the sealant thrdone at another dentist. Also charged me for x-rays for my wife that they have never provided me copy of even though I specifically asked them for copy of all x-rays.

First of all, I asked if my insurance would cover my regular dental checkup and was told it would. I in fact discovered after the fact that this office was out of network, which led me to incur personal expenses out of pocket. As these are almost always avoidable, I found this very disappointing. Second, I was given an XRay without being warned of the possibility that I would have to pay out of pocket for it. Apparently the XRay that was provided was a special type of XRay that is only covered for me once every few years, while a normal XRay would have been covered. I'm disappointed that I was not informed about this, as it would have saved me literally hundreds of dollars. Third, I discovered that the office never filed a claim with my insurance provider, meaning I wasn't going to receive even a partial reimbursement from my insurance. It wasn't until 7 weeks later when I inquired about the status of my case that the admins at Omene filed this claim. The dental practice itself seems to be high quality but given that I've never had so many problems on the administrative side before, I felt that this was a fair score.
