It's going on 1 1/2 years now and still no satisfaction on the poor job of sealing my patio. All I get BS and promises with no follow through. No answers to my emails. Shawn Bell is a smooth talker but it's all BS. My patio still looks like crap and I paid $1200.00 for it to look that way. That's pretty slick...did you post your reply after I told you on the phone that "I was done with you!" You call and offer to redo my patio tomorrow. You can't seal a patio in the rain and it has to be above 60 degrees!!! And NO you didn't answer my emails. I sent them to the office. I offered to settle for a refund of half of what I paid for the sealer and no pesponce twice!!! read more

STAY AWAY from Shawn Bell and his company Hearns & Son Concrete. This man is incompetent. I hired him in September to redo my concrete patio. His work looked good, but then about a week later, I realized that the slabs adjacent to the house did not appear to be tilting away from the house. So I checked the level of the concrete, and sure enough they were NOT tilting away from house. They were not tilting towards the house either. They were simply level with the house. So I did not think much of it, since they were not tilting towards the house. But only one month through winter, A HUGE crack appeared across the entire patio, and the slabs began tilting TOWARDS the house, and water started pooling against the house. So I contacted Shawn to let him know of this huge problem. He refused to admit fault and was rude, and refused to do any fixing. read more

RUNNNNNNNNNNN from this "man", the most inconsiderate person I've ever met. When you meet him he will sound professional as if he knows what he's talking about, but when it actually comes down to the job it's sloppy and he will quit mid-way with no reason or explanation. He won't answer his phone, it's been weeks and he's left the job incomplete. This job was taken on for my business which is a daycare and prior signing our contract he knew how important is was to complete it in a timely manner for the obvious safety reasons for the kids, the way in which the job was left is extremely unsafe and has caused one of the children to cut open their hand. When the price sounds too good it usually is, take your hard earned money and go elsewhere. Do NOT use this losers company. read more

Five stars is an understatement! We were extremely impressed from beginning to end when we had our patio done. The crew tore out an old rickety deck and installed a beautiful slate patio in just a matter of a few days. The owner was knowledgeable and knew exactly what we were looking for. They went above and beyond! They fixed our sloping issues and drainage problems while installing the new steps. They increased our area for entertaining guests which has just been priceless for us! I was shocked that I could put a large quality patio in for such a reasonable price!! The crew was on time and worked efficiently. Even in the end they left my yard and driveway better than how they found it which says a lot! We will certainly have additional work done from Hearns & Son concrete. We have received so many compliments on their work we couldn't be happier! There's just no better choice!!! read more

Hearns Concrete seems to know their business. Unfortunately the job they did for me (pouring basement floor) was fine for about a month then hairline cracks appeared. They did not return my calls or messages. It's been 3 months and I'm still waiting for a return call. I would not recommend them for this reason. read more

These guys came out .gave me an estimate ( out of the three we got they were the highest but not by much) I checked the reviews I could find they were good. So I went with then. They came out on time got busy tearirng out the old flooring..I had a concern the owner was here in 20 min . they proceeded to lay out and frames the job. ( which was a bit complicated.( interior floor 2 rooms divided by existing framing ,complicated by existing,partial slab signed by a deceased relative, existing stairs and exterior side walk and landing to be poured enclosing the the other part of the job. The work came out great.broom finished outside smooth as a baby's butt inside. The owner came out two thee times to check on the job as it progressed. .2 day project in and out . We were pushing it to beat the frost. We were going to do the driveway but it frosted before we could .its been 1-1/2 years job is great. ( we did add cure both inside and out to be safe with it so close to winter) the only reason I took off one star was they left a little bit of a mess of schlage and one of the guys left a shirt and a couple empty cans and bottles .The job came out great. read more
