Turnout is the best that is offered in the HOUSTON area even with our crazy weather and management is exceptionally accommodating to provide a program geared to the health and safety of the horse. It is a large facility that offers many amenities and does support the competitive rider. However, my retired mother also boards her pasture pony here and loves that her horse lives in a "gated community". It's a gorgeous place...you'll just have to come see!

In my opinion and based on my vast experience, terrible! The lesson experience with her, as a…read morejunior rider was awful, best described as demoralizing, depressing and humiliating. Her treatment of a beloved first horse, I had to sell during hard times, absolutely cruel, unnecessary and unforgivable. Why then did I sell to her, given my experience as a junior? I didn't. The trainer I used at the time, didn't tell me he had sold my horse to her until after he completed the deal and she hauled the horse away. I would NEVER have approved the sale. It leaves me teary-eyed DECADES later. She ran him into the ground as a lesson horse; then, when he became unsound...I know he suffered and died in a hellish place, aka slaughter house, with a check sent to her afterwards. My heart scarred forever! Now, as a much acclaimed, highly skilled rider who has logged many positive experiences with top-tier trainers in three states, I can only reflect back on what a mistake it was to ever step into the arena with her. Having trained in THREE different states over the course of DECADES, in my opinion and based on my experiences, I can say she is by far the worst on many levels. Furthermore, while some may say, "She's been in business for a while." The truth is most people don't carefully thoroughly vet their horse trainer/teacher choice. There's a certain assumption that ALL horse professionals are trustworthy, humane, kind and caring. Nope. There's a profit to be made from that naive mindset. I have been her student and leased her horse for 1 year and a half now. I could not be happier with the amenities on property and what I have learned from her lessons. Prices are very reasonable and you will get your money's worth. Property: Has 2 green pastures to ride(she keeps them green all year round). One has a dressage arena + open space and one has a jump course , covered arena, wash area for horses, tack room or lockers. As a Horse leaser: She is a very conscious animal owner, her horses and her boarded horses are healthy and very well taken care of (always shod and if they loose a shoe she takes care it of it ASAP). I have a great leasee/leaser relationship, very straight forward agreement and she lives on property so that is a plus. She has taught me everything from the basics of handling a horse (tacking, grooming) to taking care of a horse when you go to a show or schooling off property (Examples: Pine Hill, Meadow Creek Park, Greenwood Farm). As a Student: I take Dressage and Jump lessons with her and I have come a long way in all this time. She also participates in many off property events like schooling trips and schooling shows, shows in the Houston- Dallas area with her students. She will work with you constructively over lessons to improve on what you need as a rider. Great instructor, great property you really can't go wrong riding/boarding/leasing here!

Help the hands bring horses in from fields etc. I did whatever I could to help when I was there. My health decreased badly and I had to move home 7 hours away after my 5 lung surgeries 1 complete sinus surgery all in the same year. I gave the proper notification etc. The barn manager helped me load my trailer. After I left several months later. A friend informed me that the owner accused me of stealing a bridle rack that was made out of my geldings horse shoes. The barn manager is the 1 who took it off the wall and put it in my trailer. I tried to contact the barn owner to send him a new bridle rack because I didn't want any hard feelings. He would not answer my call, text or emails. The barn owner has a bad habit of talking bad about people after they leave. Then saying they are not welcome back. I know if several other boarders he has done this to.

It's definitely peaceful, and it took my group 30 minutes to get from the start point (around The Kitchen at the Dunlavy) to Sabine Street on the day we went. It was exhausting but definitely worth the effort and price. The service was fantastic. They were super helpful, which was awesome since most of the people in my party were first-timers! I highly recommend this experience; kayaking was such a blast today!
