For ex, the so-called "trainer"…read more repeatedly and violently yanked on a horse's mouth one day, which is obviously counter-productive for training dressage horse. The old saying, "Abuse begins where knowledge ends," is applicable here. I was there when a horse put his eye out in his stall. The stable owner (Marie Morgan) did not ensure that the stalls were safe. Another horse died, but I do not know the circumstances surrounding that occurrence. When my horse got scraped up in her stall, the owner could not have cared less, and seemed more annoyed that I was concerned about my horse's welfare. One evening, I went to check on my horse, and Ms. Morgan threatened to call the police on me for "trespass," even though I was a paying boarder. One day, Ms. Morgan decided to put rocks in the barn aisle, which could have caused stone bruises. She left them there for months. Another act of high strangeness was when she put stalls in the covered dressage arena - an arena that was supposed to be available to boarders for riding. When I asked how long they were going to be there, she informed me that I had to leave her barn (a breach of contract). I would not recommend boarding or training at Solstice Farms. I do not think it is a safe environment for horse or rider.

Indoor and outdoor arenas, 2 round pens, outdoor hunt course, dressage area, and ample riding areas. For preparing to show there are two hot and cold wash racks. The best thing about this facility is it doesn't FLOOD due to a large 20 acre pond next door. Horses are turned out 95% of the time due to the facility is one a grade which allows for exceptional drainage!While most barns where evacuating their horses during Hurricane Harvey the barn didn't experience any standing water. The owner transports horses to Waller if needed for the best veterinary care in the area if necessary or has 4 local veterinarians routinely visiting the barn to maintain care. She accepts mostly jumping and dressage horses but also have several quarter horses at the facility that want high end care for their horses. The barn has 24/7 access for owners, and she hauls boarders to local jumping shows and prepares them for their classes. You won't find a better facility in the area.

Our guide was an experienced rider and answered every question we could of lol. They have many different kinds of animals there, it gives ranch but not farm vibes. *insider tip* They offer 2 different types of rides! A regular trail ride and an "experience" trail ride which includes trotting and cantering. This is good to know so you schedule accordingly. They use different horses for different experiences. Apple Maps kept redirecting me every 5 min and delaying me an extra 20min!, so i would recommend just searching "A Place for Dreamers" and get directions. Just go! But she did point us to this one. It's an older neighborhood in Sugar Land and it looks like it's been there forever. But it's totally worth finding: - Well maintained bike/jogging trail that goes for a couple of miles - Skate park for the teenage boys in your family - Tennis - Baseball/Softball fields that are well maintained and used by the Little League - Sand Volleyball - A public pool The pool is pretty basic but it ranges from 3 to 12 feet and has 2 diving boards. It's also dirt cheap. Sugar Land residents pay $1 for kids under 18 before 5 and $2.25 for adults before 5, $0.50 for kids/$1.00 for adults after 5. Non residents can use the pool for a little more: $1.25 for kids under 18 and $2.85 for adults before 5, $0.65 for kids and $1.25 for adults after 5. We eventually found Memorial Park in a newer part of Sugar Land. But the pool at City Park is a good option for the summer if you don't have ready access to one in your neighborhood and the trails are well maintained. If your kids are into skateboards, the skate park has shade and looked pretty popular.

Meanwhile all the lifeguards were screaming, laughing, listening to music and lounging by the pool sunbathing because it was clear and sunny by now. We timed it and waited 30 minutes after the last thunder sound to go ask if we could go in. They told us the last sound was one minute ago. Uh what? Okay... As we were leaving, I decided to check if they had a number I could have to call and ask if the pool is open. I was banging on the gate yelling HELLO! HELLO! Even though they were right by the gate, they couldn't hear me over their laughing. After awhile, they looked back over their shoulder and utter "Yeah?" I asked 'Could I speak to someone face to face please?' And they didn't even move and said "what?" I was appalled and so disgusting by their attitude. I see this behavior in my high school classes, but if these are lifeguards representing the community we pay to be apart of, I never want to go back again. My 6-year-old son even looked at me and said 'They are not very nice, right?' Pahh!!

While the room didn't look as polished as the usual corporate escape rooms I have played, the room was still really fun and all of the puzzles worked well. The puzzles didn't require a ton of abstract thinking (like second letter of every word starting a sentence in the second chapter of a book, etc.) and were fun and satisfying to complete. The game master does initially try to help you out if you are stuck, but you can ask for less clues (or ask for unlimited clues without penalty). Our game master, Dana, was super nice and enthusiastic :) You can reserve online, pay in advance, and add an optional tip to your game master via venmo/zelle. Totally worth the 30 minute drive for me-- excited to play again (but also sad there are only 2 more to try)!

Then I run the entire trail which is about 2.58 miles around one time. Then I walk back to my car. The trail is gravel which is better for your feet, knees and hips opposed to concrete. You'll even catch a bunny or two eating a snack in the grass. Its peaceful for the most part. An area for the doggos to play and a playground for the kiddos. There are bathrooms to the left of the main parking lot.

The splash pad area is well maintained (as of Aug 2023) and has a large variety of water apparatuses. They have things that shoot horizontally, things that rain downward, things that shoot upward, etc. Toddlers and young kids love this area. Right next to it is a small zip line for kids (Not for adults! Don't exceed the weight limit!). This area was down for a little while because someone must have broken it, but the maintenance crew fixed it up relatively quickly. The play area is well equipped with a tall tree tower with tube slide, swings, miniature hill for the little ones, and climbing structures. The whole area lacks ample shade, so choose the time of day and season accordingly. The pool is locked for residence I believe. Same goes for the restroom. Water fountain is available. Notes: -The sidewalk has uneven steps near the splash pad area. Careful when you walk. - There are often times fire ants near the bench area because of food droppings. Be aware when your little one sits or stands near there. - Press the button in the front of the splash pad to activate. I think the splash pad is only open during the summer.

I take lessons in Show Jumping and Dressage, with Casondra Forsyth. The previous review about the birthday is partially incorrect. Not saying you are wrong because your right you should have gotten more for your bday party but sometimes the horse do have moods and will not allow painting or other activities. They are not machines. I'm currently starting this coming years show team and I'm showing confidently at 3"3, 3"6. She may not be the best at bday parties but if you want someone who will teach your child how to really ride a horse and get you to your best, Casondra is that person. Most barns I have gone to many teach your child to be dependent on the instructor and never how to train the horse your riding and further promote your skills.Lets also talk about the low cost board and covered arena!!!! It is a large facility that offers many amenities and does support the competitive rider. However, my retired mother also boards her pasture pony here and loves that her horse lives in a "gated community". It's a gorgeous place...you'll just have to come see!
