She genuinely wanted every student to succeed. Each lecture, she shared insight from her professional experience, gave plenty of examples of how different scenarios would look in practice, and always welcomed discussions when something wasn't clear. During clinicals, she provided so much guidance and support, followed by thoughtful debriefs at the end of each day. She took the time to connect what we learned in theory to the real patients we worked with, which made everything make so much more sense. Miss Didi prepared me incredibly well for the state exam. I felt confident enough to take the written exam the day after graduating and the skills exam three days later, passing both with flying colors. Additionally, Mr. Dell and Dr. Marilyn were extremely supportive and checked in often to make sure we had what we needed throughout the program. I wanted to add that while MCC does not guarantee placement to a facility with their program, it is important to note that there are A LOT of opportunities for networking that Miss Didi and MCC offers. For my class, Miss Didi had several administrators and DSD's speak with us about their facilities, offering insight, applications, and contact information should you decide to apply. I just interviewed for my top choice facility and have been offered employment contingent on passed reference checks, background check and fingerprinting. I graduated from my program 8 days ago. You get what you put into the program, and being open to communication and learning will lead you to the start of a rewarding career. Overall, MCC made the whole experience feel worth it, and I feel truly set up for success moving forward.

Mr. G ensures that you learn exactly what your proctors will be looking for, and is always willing to clarify if you have questions. Something you may want to know is that the clinical site is in Saratoga, so be aware you may need to be able to drive a farther distance than you initally expect. Mr. G also gives you as much time as you need to practice your skills! I was able to come after or between his other classes to practice before taking my exam, which was really helpful. The school is overall very affordable and they accept installment plans as well. No need to take out loans I'll regret later. The Program Director Ashish.. is very flexible. On one occasion I got sick for a few days and on another I had to fly out of state for a funeral and he made arrangements for me to make up my clinicals at other hospitals during the week. My instructor; Ms. Beth, was like a friend, sister, and Mother to me and very patient. I would text her in the evenings with school book questions and she'd promptly respond that evening versus waiting till the next school day. I have ADHD and a lot of my questions may come off as dumb or redundant, but she never made me feel any less. This is a career change for me and the best part was... before school even ended, she told me the hospital we were doing our clinical rotations at would hire me.... and that's exactly what happened. Hello, Thank you…read morefor taking the time to read my email, I began the process of bettering my life and my career in August of 2022 when I reached out to Unitek to begin evening LVN classes. I spoke with Jeremiah and many other staff members during my interview process, and was asked extremely personal questions regarding my circumstances to ensure I was the student Unitek desired - little did I know, my disclosures on scheduling preferences and my single parenthood would be used to ensure you all took advantage of me and got money out of my pocket ensuring you would have not keep up your end of the student contract. I was clear from the beginning of my initiation, I work full time and have a daughter - every one I talked to ensured I would get into a night class within a year and that I needed to enroll in the prerequisite class immediately to not lose my spot. In doing this, and trusting you all I emptied my savings account with the hope of a bright future for my daughter and myself. I finished the prerequisite class at the TOP of the class - excited for the next steps, I called/texted Jeremiah. He called me a few days after completion of the prerequisite course welcoming me into the LVN next class, which was a full time day class - I was confused. I was so clear on my availability , and was PROMISED I would have access to a class in the evening within the year of the prereq course. During this phone conversation, Jeremiah stated there would be a class in December. December came and went, and I followed up - I was told there was a postponed class for June. Here we are. You promise classes, take people's hard earned money banking that they never get to the next step, without any care in the world. As soon as I passed my Nclex, he reached out to me immediately and he was there to guide me to look for facilities that have open positions. Even when I went on vacation, Paul never failed to reach out. He made sure that we stay in contact until I can get a position. He never failed to update or call me whenever he found information about some facilities I wanted to apply to. He is also always available whenever I reach out to him. 30 Week MA with Phlebotomy program-…read more Mrs. Maria was my instructor for the first 10 weeks of med term and billing and coding. She went out of her way to ensure we were learning the material we will need once we hit the field. She made me feel supported and always had answers when I required more clarification! Definitely recommend AM or Midday so that you can have Mrs. Maria as an instructor! She's even answered any questions we have had since leaving her class and nothing on to our remaining 20 weeks.

Richie and Ashley from Career services were a big help throughout the program, and were super fast at responding when I had questions. I felt that I learned a lot from my on campus teachers/mentors Ms. Crain, Ms. Oliver, and Ms. James, as well as from my online experience with Ms. Dori and Ms. Kaur. They took their time in explaining each subject in depth so that we could understand. They definitely have prepared me for the medical field. This program was absolutely worth it and I see myself going back to Unitek in the future to further my education.

First of all I would like to say, if you got a scholarship through Futuro with Kaiser and you get in this program planning on ever working at Kaiser when you get out, just please delete that idea from your mind. That's the whole reason why I took this course through Futuro, come to find out at extern time, Kaiser isn't even contracted with Unitek or Futuro (make it make sense) to do your extern there so right there my whole plan of getting an extern at Kaiser and hopefully landing a job there after graduation was just shattered!!! instead, I was constantly offered an extern making it seem like DaVita was the only option. DaVita has a huge turn around hiring rate for extern with Unitech so it makes the school look really good as if their program graduates get hired quickly after completion. Which they do at DaVita if you want an $18-$20 an hour pay rate and absolutely not doing any medical assisting at all while you're there, so it just completely ruins everything that you learned in the medical assisting program. Not to mention, I was there for seven months and we had five different teachers.. again make it make sense? We will learn things from one teacher, and then all of a sudden they would leave, and the new teacher that came in would tell us we were doing things incorrectly and we would have to relearn some of the things over to the new teachers liking. Bottom line, it is just an extremely unbelievably unorganized program, there is no consistency with teaching, there's no accuracy as far as what we learned because the next teacher will teach us a different way, and the online teacher that I had was just absolutely terrible. She would explain nothing and dock your grade, you could send her several messages with no response and even when you would reach out to the higher up, they wouldn't even respond back to you, and they were in the same building in Concord! They also left there too by the way and I heard that they had been there for years and got let go. So yah, this program needs to be shut down and then opened up by all new upper hand that actually know what they're doing and how to run a beneficial MA program. I've graduated the program a while back and I still yet to land a decent paying medical assisting job, the highest I've been offered is $20 an hour and honestly if I wanted to, I can go work at target for $22 an hour. In the end, I feel like it was just such a waste of time and I would actually be livid if I didn't go through the scholarship program and get granted to take it, and actually paid the $15,000 out of pocket to take it. What a mess this place is... good luck to all who try it
