Afterwards the sprinkler heads were not functioning correctly and underground pipes were leaking. I called seven businesses trying to get someone out to diagnose and fix my dad's sprinkler problems. I left a message with Veteran's Landscaping & Irrigation and received a call back within 30 minutes. Mr. Davis agreed to stop by my dad's to check out the sprinkler and leaks. Mr. Davis diagnosed the problems and came up with an itemized list of hardware needed to repair my dad's sprinklers and leaks. He was on time and reliable while working in my dad's yard. The neighbor who caused the problem watched as Mr. Davis was able to fix my dad's sprinklers and leaks and asked Mr. Davis to fix their sprinkler issues once he completed my dad's work. My dad was very pleased with the work Mr. Davis did. Dad had miscellaneous greenery growing in his backyard that he hired Mr. Davis to remove. Another great job performed by Mr. Davis's crew! Dad was very happy to see that area of the yard cleaned up. My mother-in-law had old overgrown shrubs from 1972 in her front yard that I asked Mr. Davis to look at and provide an estimate for removal and replanting of bushes. He provided a reasonable fair estimate and my husband asked him to do the job. My mother-in-law is thrilled with her beautiful new front yard. The plants selected by Mr. Davis look awesome!!! If you are in need of landscaping or sprinkler repairs, please give this veteran owned business a call. Mr. Davis will do a great job for you.

It was a disappointing experience after the estimating phase. Failure to communicate except via text messaging the evening before planned work was a key issue as well as the failure to return any phone messages. The initial crew sent out to prepare the ground for SOD and replace and install new plants clearly did not appreciate our talking to them about the expected tasks they were doing or appreciate any feedback on the quality or method being used for the tasks, we had to get the owner out to ensure work was done satisfactorily, they took several weeks before the new SOD was installed. The team that repaired the pavers did a good job with the repairs, but the pressure wash and sanding lacked attention to detail or proper curing of the sand, after talking with a supervisor they eventually sent out a crew to re-sand areas that were not sanded properly, that took weeks before they returned. I could comment more on other tasks but overall it was a disappointing experience for the amount of money they were paid.

From the beginning, they were difficult to work with and terrible at scheduling. A 2-3 day job took two weeks and not because of rain but because a $5k job was considered small and want a priority. I basically had to be at home and use annual leave (vacation time) to see if they were showing up. Sometimes they would show up for 1-2 hours and then leave and not say when they were coming back, if they were coming back that day. The "manager" wasn't there so I was directing the workers what to do. If I wasn't outside where they were, they did whatever was the easiest which was usually wrong and not fixable. I will never suggest this company to anyone. Either the management was incompetent, liars, or lazy. Maybe a bit of all three. Biggest regret of homeownership the past 5 years.

I contracted with them to do drainage work, a sprinkler system and landscape lighting. I was told this would take 3 weeks to complete, with each phase occurring on consecutive weeks. The project as a whole took almost 12 weeks to complete, and this was only because I hounded them with calls multiple times per week. The drainage work was the first part, it seemed to be fine, though the French drain was not placed the complete length that was discussed originally. Also the fingers of river rich were put in to stop erosion, but almost no grass seed was put in afterwards, so nothing but weeds grew in between the river rock. The second piece was the sprinkler system. This was put in during a day, but the ground was not backfilled properly and they needed to come back out to fix it. We were told that they would put down grass seed after the lighting job was completed. The lighting work was not completed for another 8 weeks, and there wasn't any seed put down afterwards. They were also supposed to aerate and oversees the lawn, but since they could not get their mower into our backyard, they told us they would come back with a smaller mower to pull the aerator later. This never happened. I had to call them 2-3 times a week for 8 weeks to get them to complete the lighting. Part of it was landscape lighting, the other portion was putting in a fan and spotlight in/on our screened patio. The wiring was placed so shallow, that it came out of the ground within a week and they had to come back to fix. The light and fan was supposed to be put in by an electrician, but was just put in by the owner and his friend. They put a cheap conduit over the electrical wire that didn't even cover the wire. They sent an electrician out to fix the wiring, but he just rigged another kind of conduit on the bare wire to cover it up. The uplighting for the trees was sold to us at $65 a light. I just found the lights online for $45 for a 4-pack of lights. We just gave up with this company and figured we would just be stuck with this work. Over the last year, I kept burying and covering up the wire as it came out of the ground and have been trying to repair the grass in the area where they did sprinkler and drainage work. We are still fighting massive weeds from the lack of follow through on planting grass after their work was completed. I am writing this review today after I just finished replacing 3 lights that stopped working and half of the wiring that was put in for the landscape lights. Turns out they believe that wire nuts are not necessary and you only need to tape wires together with electrical tape before putting it in the ground. If you are looking for a company to do landscaping work for you, stay very far away from this company. You will only be sorry if you choose them.

They never even knocked on my door to let me know they were doing any work at all and instead just sent me a bill. When I drove to the address on the letterhead of the bill to pay it, it turned out to be a residential address and nobody was home. This struck me as unprofessional. When I called to get some clarification, he made it out like I was the stupid one for...I don't know...trying to actually pay my bill? After winter, I called three separate times to have them come back over and help with an issue. Each time, they promised they would, but they never showed up. I ended up having to go with someone else even though this is a Rain Tree system. They have lost my business for good and I would recommend using someone else to start out with.

He did a great job explaining all of the issues; we didn't know anything about drainage systems prior, so we were really grateful that he took the time to answer all of our questions. We were also highly impressed with the quality of work and kindness of the crew. We feel like they did a thorough, high quality job, and our yard looks so much better. Before, our yard was constantly wet and had many bare spots where grass wouldn't grow; now, our yard stays much more dry, and the grass has grown back. They also adjusted our sprinkler heads and verified that our sprinkler system was functioning properly and not contributing to our drainage issues prior to starting the job. We are so glad that we chose to use Raintree/Drain It and are looking forward to using them again soon to winterize our sprinkler system!

Their, father was in the plumbing business back in the fifties, and very early sixties. He operated probably, the best plumbing business within the area, and at the same time, he trained his sons to follow within his own foot steps. His sons took over their own businesses after the passing of their father. I called this company for some much needed services,as my home drainage system had completely failed, and was clogged, and backing up inside my home. The fine lady, whom I experienced the great pleasure of speaking with was the most helpful. She informed completely as to their busy schedule, while taking my order request. She informed me of the approximate time their representative would be at my home, and kept me posted, as they were a day or so behind within their work. I agreed to remain in line for my much needed work to be completed. Upon my time for their super fine service, I received a phone call informing of the fact their very confident worker was on his way to my place. Upon his arrival,as agreed upon, he began to inspect my complicated job requirements, and began to unload his super powerful routing machine. It was much more powerful, less than my very own, and some what powerful unit, which proved it could not perform the task at hand. This fine highly trained, and very pleasant technician hook up his super over powerful machine, and began working. It required his continuous working, for a period of two hours of hard work, in order, to clean out my main line, as it has some tree roots, and additional garbage stopping up the drain piping, growing within it. This, highly skilled, and very fine person, whom I had the great pleasure of discussing some of the many well known rip off artists, whom were serving within the heating, air conditioning, and plumbing business within our county. This great highly skilled worker got down, and got with the titty greedy work at hand, and performed for me a truly great experience, as I witnessed his hard difficult task, which he took full charge off this nasty, and difficult task. Far too many of them are serving only as percentage sales persons, only out to sell some new product, as they are not skilled at making any required service task. However, they excel at ripping off their customers with new sales offers, which are not need, or required in most cases. This wonderful workman, only charged me some over $200.00 for his wonderful services, so I provided him with a tasty bonus. I cannot recommend this great company, and their highly skilled workmen enough. highly enough. When, ever I require, any plumbing tasks to be done, I truly do know, whom to call. They are highly trained, and the very best. Will no take advantage of any one. Dean plumbing is the, very best!!
