    Rauch bock--smoked red

Awesome brewery! It's off the beaten path but definitely worth a visit. It sounds like their tap room is recently open. They had a variety of German style beers. The brewers were really friendly and let us sample several beers. I had a Rauch Bock smoked red. It was excellent! They have a good selection of beers, I would recommend a stop!

Beers were delicious. Nice outdoor seating. After a day of wine tasting it was a nice change.

I'm a fan of lighter flavorful beers - Pils, Helles & Kolsch. The Pils is perfect! Nice shady patio on a hot day!

If you like beer- come here. It's just a tiny tap room. But the beers are outstanding.

Evasion Brewing was the latest McMinnville brewery I got to try lately. I do have to say the beer…read morewas fairly unique and very flavorful that made this brewery experience a positive one. The Batch 3 Imperial Barrel Aged Stout was very good with it's cinnamon, chocolate and bourbon highlights. Buckwheat was also involved in the making of this beer which is gluten-free but I do enjoy the Buckwheat flavor in general as it has a naturally sweet flavor to it. Investigating further into the brewery Google has it listed as temporarily closed and further prodding on my part on Facebook reveals that the owners have been doing well with the business but are deciding to sell it since they don't feel like they have the time to properly run it. I did not learn that new ownership has taken over the reigns yet. So it sounds like the taproom is closed but perhaps call ahead if possible to see if someone is there rather than going there to find the taproom not open. I have also spotted Evasion's products at select liquor stores like Total Wine and Beverage so that may be an option to explore with as well to try out their beer.

We ordered their fruity beer flight and the hoppy beer flight. All are very good. My personal favorites are the blood orange, this is my party shirt and IPA #1.

We sat at a window booth and had…read morefabulous service from our waitress Kylie, who was spunky and fun (she wore alien antennae in celebration of McMinnville's UFO Festival which was going on at the time). I ordered the 3 piece fish and chips and a bottle of IBC root beer. The fish pieces were Alaskan cod, tender and with delicious, mild flavor. The cod was covered in a panko crust. I did squirt a bit of malt vinegar on the fish as I like that flavor. The plate came with fries and coleslaw. I am not much of a coleslaw person but this was pretty good. The fish came with a tasty tarter sauce which I just used to dip my fries into. My sister couldn't finish the pulled pork sandwich she ordered so I had some of that too. The pork was tender and flavorful although I wasn't overly fond of the bbq sauce they used. I had dessert! Celia's Homemade Oregon Berry Cobbler. Wow! The piping hot blueberries and strawberries were within a sweet, crisp crust and was magnificent. The cobbler was covered with a huge scoop of Tillamook vanilla bean ice cream. I loved this dessert. This is a comfortable, casual, fun place for a meal. I would definitely come back to eat here while in the old town area of McMinnville.

My order was incorrect, but they were good about correcting it. By the time I received my meal, my dining companion was almost done. Quite honestly, had I been the server - I would have comped something; chips? beverage? This wasn't the dining experience we were looking forward to.
