When checking in, they asked us if we were here for a special occasion and upon learning that it was a girls night getaway, they provided us with BOGO app and drink coupons to the 2 restaurants onsite. They also suggested a few dishes to try. When we returned to our room after a show at the Orpheum, we found a bottle of bubbly with a handwritten note on the table!! It was such a kind gesture and so so thoughtful. I've never experienced something like that before - usually it's a birthday or anniversary where this type of stuff happens so we were thrilled the front desk would provide such a gift for friends simply getting together. We had dinner at Breva Bar (on the first floor) and loved the food. One tip - if the Minnesota Orchestra is having an event (close proximity), there will likely be a rush of diners beforehand and service can be tough/limited due to restaurant capacity. We experienced it first hand and had to wait a long time for food. But once the orchestra crowd cleared, it was prompt service. Another tip - do not skip the burrata & apple starter. It was so good we ordered it TWICE. Our room was on a high floor with views of downtown. The real star is though is the bed. I've stayed at Marriott properties before (Ivy is part of the Marriott family) but none of them compares to a Hotel Ivy bed. There's a reason this is a luxury hotel because this is a luxurious bed. Fun fact: Marriott actually sells these beds online and the prices are crazy expensive. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby the next morning. We enjoyed a simple but filling breakfast at the hotel bar before concluding our short 1 night but very memorable stay. So glad I got to experience Hotel Ivy, the beautiful ambiance, and stellar service. If I feel like spoiling myself again for another girls get together, I'm coming back here.

Riders bike all over Minneapolis…read morepaths and streets, which many are shut down to allow for the massive amounts of Tour cyclists. They have something for every biker, no matter what skill level you are. This event is definitely family friendly. In the beginning years, I would ride the longer 50+ mile routes. Now, they have shortened the options down to 16, 25 or 32 miles that day. With multiple routes to choose from you can't go wrong! It's a beautiful experience to view the city and see how all the paths connect. Minneapolis/St. Paul have hundreds of miles of paved paths, so this ride can show you how to navigate them, rather than be intimidated. There is great signage to know which ways to turn to stay on course. The helpful rest stops supply delicious food and often music/entertainment along the way. The best part is the finish line! Here, you can get your free beer, visit the vender village and listen to a live band as you sit with fellow cyclists feeling proud of yourself!

We learned great deal about the city's history as well as its current day culture, art and architecture. We had a most enjoyable ride and our guide Alyssa was a wealth of information. It was a Saturday and no one was in the office and the owners are not listed on the website, plus NO phone number on the website. Finally I saw a worker loading a van and told him and he responded immediately texting the owner. They were full that night and couldn't put me in another room and offered to find a local hotel (which later they reneged on); the worker said they did call for inspection and said repeatedly they would reimburse my stay for the inconvenience. It was annoying not to have any communication with the owner and only when I got home on Sunday did they email to say there was nothing (who knows if that is true) and no mention of a refund. Very disappointed.

The staff were extremely nice and accommodating. I had help bringing my bags upstairs to our room, they walked us through everything and offered help any time we needed it. It rained while we were in the hot tub but it was covered very well and only elevated the experience! The koi pond is so beautiful and relaxing, and we loved enjoying the entire property. Highly recommend staying here! Also, don't forget to book a trolly tour! Such a unique experience, and the tour guide has such a fun personality it was incredible!! 10/10 Would stay again and again!
