(An observation across the board for all nail salons in this area is generally outdated/overly used pedicure chairs, where only half the features work.) So this was super nice. They also have a child size pedicure chair that is Elsa themed. Plenty of nail colors to choose from and she freehanded a super cute design on my nails. Since they recently opened, she is having a 10% off sale on all services right now. One last thing that I really loved is when they were done with the file and buffer that was used on my nails. they broke them in half at the end. To know they value cleanliness is huge when it comes to nails. Overall, I got a shellac pedi with French tips and shellac fill with design. My total would have been $90 (which is a great price for those things), but with 10% off my total was $81. Money very well spent. And then 4 days later my nail cracked, and my real nail underneath was separating itself. That's never happened. Came in today and they fixed it. I'm no nail expert... but she put nail glue underneath my separated nail and then filed the chrome off and painted it again.... Sooo I guess we will see how long that lasts. Got home tonight and all of the chrome nails are chipping. They are very kind and personable..... but the quality doesn't match up- even my feet from my pedicure there are already scratchy feeling and there is a fuzzy stuck in the polish. I had barely made it out the door when half of the last layer was already completely off. the person who helped me was more concerned to go home than do a good job. I offered to come back at a better time and her response was "I will get it done and go home after." one of the nails she had to do 3x. The repair she did was a total mess and the layers of the product had come off in less than 2 days. They said the next opening was the next Tuesday which was pushing my timeframe because I am going out of town for a few weeks and was hoping to have them last that long. It's been years since I've had my nails done, so I was looking forward to it. When I arrived, I told the woman my name and said I had an appointment for acrylics. There was only a woman and a man working in there - no one else was in the salonn - no customers. The woman said they do not do acrylics, only dip nails. I told her when I called I said acrylics and no one said they didn't do them. The man jumped in, kind of aggressive tone and said they haven't done acrylics in over 5 years. I was not being argumentative at all but I was disappointed because I didn't have time to reschedule with anyone else. She asked me if I wanted to do the dip and I asked "will it last for 3 weeks, I'm going out of town and the last time I had dip it fell off early." She said it would stay on for 3 weeks so I agreed. Then I told her I wanted it to be natural color with a white tip. She said the shellac would be the best for me. I didn't know what a shellac was, I said I wanted the tip to not be too long, she asked me "this long?" and I said yes, and she started working on my nails. She had mumbled something in the middle of working on my nails, I couldn't hear her because she said it so quietly so I didn't reply. I'm wondering now if it was some kind of tactic to say that I agreed to what she was doing. She said something again, and I had to ask her again because I couldn't hear her. she said more loudly "relax" because apparently I was not turning my arm the weird position she wanted it at. I have arthritis in my hands and joints so it was uncomfortable and I said that to her. So while she worked about halfway through I asked her if the tip would be longer. She said in kind of a gruff voice, "I know what you want" She kept working and it ended up basically gel nail polish with a hardener over my nails, no length at all! She charged me $60 for what was done, she did ask if that was ok, but I had no idea what a shellac was supposed to cost, so when I got home I checked online to see what other salons were charging for it. I also checked to see what it was because I didn't have any idea. It says it will only last a couple of weeks! Other places are charging around $30 plus an extra $5 for the white tip. I called to ask her why I was charged so much and she said something about special something underneath. She got argumentative and said I agreed to it which of course is not true because she knew when I started asking questions in the middle of getting them done, that I didn't understand. I just feel taken advantage of and I should have not been charged so much. Won't go back there ever again!
