I was greeted right away and the tech was available within a few minutes. The front was very clean and tidy. Things went downhill after that. The work station of the tech who did my nails was filthy - covered with dusty and crust. The longer I sat there, the more I saw and the more frustrated I felt. Tools like nippers for cuticles seemed to have been used on other customers with old cuticle on them. I'm so embarrassed that I didn't get up and leave. The tech used an efile to tear up my nail beds and then buffed them out anyway. This seemed to be a substitute for actually cleaning the old regular nail polish off. The nail polish application was sloppy with the tech applying way too much for each layer. No base coat was used, so my nail beds will be stained now. This tech applied the polish like it's gel and not like it's ordinary nail polish that needs to air dry. It's got bubbles and streaks and is cracking where the top doesn't quite cover the color. Especially strange was that I was asked to pay and tip before my service was finished. I won't be going back and I wouldn't recommend.

I'm no nail expert... but she put nail glue underneath my separated nail and then filed the chrome off and painted it again.... Sooo I guess we will see how long that lasts. Got home tonight and all of the chrome nails are chipping. They are very kind and personable..... but the quality doesn't match up- even my feet from my pedicure there are already scratchy feeling and there is a fuzzy stuck in the polish. I've always been pretty picky about the quality of my manicure, she does a great job shaping and making sure my nails are never too thick. I haven't gone anywhere else since finding sky nails and I don't plan to. She is also the person who introduced me to builder gel as opposed to dip or acrylic and I am eternally grateful. (An observation across the board for all nail salons in this area is generally outdated/overly used pedicure chairs, where only half the features work.) So this was super nice. They also have a child size pedicure chair that is Elsa themed. Plenty of nail colors to choose from and she freehanded a super cute design on my nails. Since they recently opened, she is having a 10% off sale on all services right now. One last thing that I really loved is when they were done with the file and buffer that was used on my nails. they broke them in half at the end. To know they value cleanliness is huge when it comes to nails. Overall, I got a shellac pedi with French tips and shellac fill with design. My total would have been $90 (which is a great price for those things), but with 10% off my total was $81. Money very well spent. I'm super happy and will definitely be back and tell others to come here!
