The price I was charged to replace those valves was outrageous--nearly $1,100, and they didn't even bother to repair or replace the sheetrock afterward. For such a basic job, that alone felt excessive. It gets worse. After doing just one load of laundry, my water heater on the second floor started leaking down into the first floor. This had NEVER happened before they worked on my plumbing. I called them immediately, but they couldn't send anyone out until the next day. When a technician finally arrived, I was quoted $4,000 to replace the water heater. That didn't sit right with me, so I decided to get a second opinion. I contacted another company, and the difference was unbelievable. They charged me $2,300 for the same water heater replacement, showed up within an hour of my call, and completed the entire job in about two hours. Out of curiosity, I also asked them what they would have charged to replace the laundry room valves. Their answer? Around $350.
